I just want to raise the idea of people going off about Virgil being mean to Patton.
While yes, he is not currently being kind you must look at it from a psychological point of view (in other words put on your logan glasses), anxiety is an emotion, it us characterised by high amounts of tension.
Anxiety is not THE fight or flight reflex, though it is similar to that reflex and thus can mimic it.
So due to this knowledge, I would like to raise to you, fellow fanders, the idea that the reason Virgil is being “nasty” to Patton is the fact that Patton is lying a little bit less about himself and his emotions but not completely, as he is trying to change to what the others want him to be.
As Patton lies less and accepts that he needs to express how he feels, Virgil will start to most likely go away.
As much as I hate this, psychologically, once Patton is just happy to talk about himself and his issues completely; Deceit, Remus and Virgil will more then likely be affected, due to the implications of their characters.
Deceit being deceiving, as Thomas starts to stop lying to himself and others about everything, including his feelings, will disappear. Or at least not play as big of a part as he is now.
Remus will never fully disappeare but his presence will be less known. I still like to think of him as Imagination rather then Intrusive Thoughts, since that would imply that he will always be needed to help Roman.
Virgil, the less and less Thomas feels internally in turmoil, the less his anxiety will be a big problem. Of course he’ll still be there, but not to the extent he is now. And of course if you go off the fact Remus is Intrusive Thoughts….he will become less as Anxiety does since those two facets play off each other in psychology.
Virgil is currently in the mimic fight mode, due to not wanting to be gone. He strives to be accepted again, even though he lied to the others because he’s afraid that he’ll be hated again, that he’ll have to be ACCEPTED again, that he won’t be accepted again because he lied for so long.
When you think about how REAL LIFE anxiety works when it comes to emotions, it makes a lot of sense really. Real life anxiety can screw up a person’s perception on life, it can warp other emotions and make them a more “hieghtened” version (we see a good example of this during accepting anxiety. The other’s became completely irrational when being exposed to the raw core of anxiety - his room).
Anyway, I’m rambling.
Just take these words for thought.
I AM NOT SAYING ANXIETY IS A BAD THING. I AM ALSO NOT SOMEONE WHO IS WRITING WITH NO EXPERIENCE OF ANXIETY. WHEN I SAY IT SCREWS UP A PERSON’S PERCEPTION ON LIFE, I DO NOT MEAN THAT IN A BAD WAY, IT CAN BE GOOD SOMETIMES. IT IS JUST OFTEN FOR THE WORSE CASE SCENARIO, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT.

hMMMM
There is a line one crosses into dangerously ideological territory, and that line is breached when you come to the determination that your opposition is literally incapable of rationality as you define it.
In spreading the idea that those who are ideologically opposed to you are irreconcilably ignorant, you are damning them to idiocy, ostracizing them from salvation, and irreversibly concretizing their role as the devils of your worldview. Such a thing is dogmatic and akin to cult rhetoric.
The moment you’ve abandoned the possibility of dialogue, reconciliation, and forgiveness in favor of ideological or moral validation, you have mortally wounded your humanity.
Some practices should just… not be profited on, and profiting on them is ethically unsound.
Stuff like towing, which encourages shady exploitation of bad laws at the expense of innocent people should be delegated to a small part of some other job, so as to not encourage profiting off of it.
Deceit: I shall destroy your happiness, if it is the last thing that I do!
Patton: Sorry to tell you this kiddo, but you can’t destroy what I don’t have
Deceit:
Deceit: Do you want to talk -
Logan: Patton we need to talk about your showering time. You just spend over an hour in the shower, what are you doing that requires that amount of time?
Patton: Uh….
Patton, on the shower floor, full blown sobbing:
2. Patton x Remus – Moduke/Intruality
“I love you Patton.”
Remus… was drunk. How he was drunk when nobody else was is still a mystery, but he was plastered. Remus by himself is on thing, being more destructively impulsive and vulgar in his brand of creativity. Drunk Remus was unknown territory and god help anyone who became the center of his attention at that point.
Patton had been working on dusting his area of the living room, as everyone kept up their own area of the living room as a measure of fairness not having one side responsible to clean up one Sides mess.
Remus popped up behind the television and exclaimed “I love you Patton.” At this point in his drunkenness, it sounded like “I laahv uuu ahhtn”, but Patton understood Remus all the same.
Before Patton could respond, Remus was already attempting to climb over the TV, with the amount of success you would expect.
He fell.
Patton, being not drunk, quickly rushed over and caught Remus just before his head was going to hit the ground.
Remus being drunk took the opportunity of the angle he was now looking at Patton to shout/slur. “You have a really nice ass from down here, and probably up there too.”
Patton ignored Remus’s outburst again as he helped Remus back onto his feet, while Remus took this opportunity to instead drunkenly lurch towards Patton.
“Whoa Remus! You gotta stay standing kiddo. That was quite a fall there, please be careful.” Patton lightly grabbed Remus’s shoulders and pushed Remus back into a standing position
Remus seemed to not fully understand what Patton was saying, but retorted back with “How can I stand if I’m falling for you constantly? You’re just… so… cute.”
Patton finally stopped short and was struck by how even plastered drunk, Remus is so… well, cute when he’s honest. A blush finally made it’s way onto Patton’s cheeks as Remus again lurched towards Patton, taking advantage of Patton’s stupor and planting a full force kiss onto Patton’s lips.
“Mmph!” Patton’s eyes widened as Remus took him off guard with the kiss. Then, Patton’s eyes slipped closed as he reciprocated the kiss.
Remus was drunk, but maybe, that was a good thing now. Patton was… okay with drunk Remus.
But they’ll have to… discuss the situation between them later when Remus was not inebriated.
Patton at least, wanted to make this work.
