I like to think about characters and their mounts sometimes so here’s a list of them and their names:
Thora: She rides a nuggalope, a tiddles majoris, warm golden-brown skin and gentle. Completely untrained for battle, save for running from it, which is ideal as Thora is untrained in mountain combat. He is trained to do other things, however, such as fetching shards that are resting out of reach. He is dubbed Moroc, an old dwarven name, and he has a habit of attracting animals whenever they’re settled somewhere for the night.
Merrill: Her mount is a wild hart, a bright purple breed who she renames Plum, or sometimes “Dearie.” As a breed they are renowned for their spirit, “tamed but not broken.” When she’s a very good hart, she gets sugar. Merrill would also ask if she could ride the Bog Unicorn if it is acquired.
Vivienne: A black Amaranthine Charger with a very well looked after coat, and a gift from Bastien and named Estelle by a younger relative of his. Estelle is impeccably trained, even for battle, having the grit to endure the whirring of a knight enchanter’s blade in her ear. Though it hardly matters, after Bastien dies Vivienne would not think of putting her in harm’s way.
Gorim: He rides a Fereldan Forder, a staple and stable breed, trained to compensate for his leg injury, which he received as a gift from Redcliffe. She was called Autumn, named by the daughter of Horsemaster Dennet, and he kept the name.
Ruth: She has two horses, a white Imperial warmblood named Nimbus and the Barded Charger named Champion. Nimbus is a gift from her aunt and Ruth is exceedingly proud of him, he is most typically ridden to places like the Exalted Council, whereas Champion is battle-trained and rode into fights.
Tetrak: He rides an asaarash, a horse commonly ridden by qunari and used by the qunari military. She doesn’t have a name, and he tends to just call her “girl,” though he is quite fond of her. She doesn’t scare easily at magic and has high endurance
Adélaïde: She rides different mounts as her role commands, sometimes taking horses and other times harts. Sometimes an elf riding an elven mount would draw too much attention, and horses are safer. She’s fondest of the red hart whose actual name she has forgotten.
Bruno: None, he does mention to Miraen once that he really likes dracolisks in hopes that it would mean he’d get one some day. Will likely steal one from a rich Tevinter should the opportunity present itself.
Cole: Also none, he likes hanging out with Moroc though, who sort of exudes chill. Horses are hit-and-miss for Cole, the same as most animals. Some scare at the sight of him, Moroc just accepts it.
Peace and Woolsley don’t get mounts for what are probably obvious reasons. Woolsley will hang out with them however, and sometimes gives the impression that he’s talking to them, though it’s mostly just to be polite.
