every year our art school makes their own little calendars, and the students are supposed to make drawings/illustrations for it. the theme of the 2022 calendar was “fashion” or “streetfashion”. i really wanted to draw something for october/autumn (i also had an urge to draw a pumpkin in a tutu). i liked how this looks so i decided to post it here. :)
Talking with my friends on discord (@marshmallow--3 and @straight-into-the-animus thank you so much, am most grateful. Seriously.) I have fallen back into my POTO obsession (seriously, you weren't around in 2000s something, when I got into the fandom thanks to Mr. Butler, Sir. Like. I devoured every single piece of media about it. It was everything to me, for so many personal reasons it's not even funny. It's safe to say that Erik, among so many others, is to blame for my penchant for dark, troubled, brooding fictional men, damn it all.).
So yeah. Am in a POTO MOOD.
HUGE POTO MOOD.
What will come out of it? I have no idea. Something will, probably something drawn rather than written (again, writing takes me so much time).
BUT YEAH. SOMETHING WILL COME OUT OF IT.
in the meantime, allow me to open my little chest of memories (aka my old DA account), and share OLD, LIKE SERIOUSLY OLD artworks I did back in 2012, when I was a wee lassie and I first started to actually paint/draw digitally (you can see that my signature also changed,)
The first one was my attempt to merge Laroux!Erik's appearance with ALW!Erik's appearance (hence the lack of nose and the sunken, flaming eyes).
The second was just me illustrating a funny story that I wrote in a notebook, where Erik and Sherlock (yes, It was BBC!Sherlock that I had in mind at the time) ended up being roommates, rendering Mrs. Hudson's and Watson's lives a living hell with their shenanigans. (I also had Walter from "Fringe" collaborating with Lestrade, and omg the shenanigans were there too. Seriously, I had so much fun back!!😂).
And yes, that's freaking Operetta from the Monster High Franchise, because I couldn't resist putting her there as well (If you know Operetta and her southern twang, you know why it would make me laugh).
So, yeah, living up to my title as "Mad scientist that loves to mix up everything I can lay my gremlin hands on", I just took everything I loved and mixed it up.
And I had so much fun.
Well, after this small trip down memory lane, I shall go and have coffee, because my brain truly needs it.
