Tidak terasa beberapa jam lagi kita akan meninggalkan 2020 yang saya sebut sebagai tahun virtual, pasalnya banyak hal yang biasanya dilakukan secara tatap muka harus dialihkan ke ranah virtual demi keamanan dan keselamatan bersama. Semua karena pandemi.

Awalnya semua tampak biasa, sampai suatu ketika masuklah Corona. Virus Corona atau dikenal dengan nama panggung Covid-19 pertama kali terdeteksi di Wuhan, China pada 2019 akhir, lalu berkembang dan melebarkan sayap ke penjuru dunia. Virus global. Saat banyak negara mengkonfirmasi kasus Covid-19 masuk ke negara mereka pada bulan Januari, Indonesia dengan bangga mengklaim bebas sampai pada Maret 2020 Presiden mengkonfirmasi kasus Covid-19 pertama di Indonesia dengan adanya tiga pasien, yaitu Ibu dan dua puterinya. Setelah banyak pihak menuntut untuk lockdown atau di Indonesia dikenal dengan karantina wilayah, pemerintah memutuskan bahwa kebijakan untuk mengatasi Covid-19 yang berkaitan dengan kesehatan adalah dengan memperkuat pariwisata dan perekonomian. Setelahnya, walaupun banyak yang meragukan covid-19, tapi berbagai tempat dan kegiatan yang melibatkan banyak orang: pusat perbelanjaan, aktivitas sekolah dan perkantoran, berbagai usaha dan aktivitas lainnya dibatasi sementara dengan sebutan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB).

Kota yang biasanya ramai, hiruk pikuk dengan jejeran kendaraan menjadi sepi seperti libur lebaran padahal belum lebaran. Memasuki ramadhan tidak ada terawih, sahur on the road, dan buka puasa bersama yang menjadi ajang reuni seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Semua sendi kehidupan berubah dan lahirlah bentuk adaptasi baru: menggunakan masker, hand sanitizer yang selalu siap sedia, dan jaga jarak.

Penutupan berbagai tempat untuk sementara waktu berdampak pula kepada banyaknya pekerja yang dirumahkan sampai waktu yang tidak ditentukan. Tatap muka atau interaksi antar individu atau kelompok dilakukan dari rumah secara virtual, entah kerja, entah kuliah, entah sekolah bahkan wisuda. Tren sepeda, memelihara tanaman sampai maraknya pencurian pot bunga mencuat. Ya, semua karena pandemi.

Tahun 2020 dibuka dan ditutup dengan berbagai kejadian, ada suka, ada duka, ada luka. Banyak nyawa yang pergi, tenaga kesehatan yang gugur, kondisi ekonomi yang semrawut, hidup yang cukup sulit, dan angka kejadian kasus yang jauh dari kata surut. Semua karena pandemi.

Bagi saya tahun 2020 memang bukan tahun yang baik, tapi juga bukan tahun yang sepenuhnya buruk. Not good, but not really bad. Walaupun ada banyak kesempatan yang hilang dan rencana yang tertunda, tapi disaat yang sama banyak cerita dan kisah yang sebelumnya terlewat kini saya sadari keberadaannya dan fakta-fakta baru yang membuka mata saya. Kalau kata Ost. Sinetron Hikmah,”semua kan ada hikmahnya”. Yup, ini karena pandemi.

Menjelang pergantian tahun angka kejadian Covid-19 terus meningkat, namun demikan harapan agar keadaan menjadi lebih baik tentu selalu dipanjatkan. Walaupun dengan memakai masker membuat kita tidak perlu make-up-an lebih sering tapi menyimak orang bicara dengan lebih jelas secara langsung tentu lebih menyenangkan.

Tetap jaga kesehatan, tetap jaga jarak, dan masker jangan lupa! Semoga kita semua sehat selalu. Aamiin. Sekian. Wassalam.
