I love getting lost in the woods.
For the longest time I've wanted to live near the woods, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Close to Mother Nature but not too rural. Well, I can't believe I have that right now!
Lockdown was actually great in terms of allowing my partner and I to explore our local area. Imagine my surprise to find that we had an Enchanted Forest within walking distance!
Thing's i've found Odin likes.
- Arizona iced tea. I buy a gallon every week and he lets me drink for him.
-He really liked the song "blackout" from in the heights
- Food offerings
-drinks in general yk
- letters written to him in runes
- RUNE SETS!
- working out in his honor
-papers you've written
- spear shaped items
- make a pinterest board for him
-chill in the woods/with plants
-drawings! and specifically drawings of him!
- your favorite books
Thrållfrost returns. . .
I think about this scene a lot, and my dead brother. He died young, at 17– and we’d never talked much before he died. Even if he was troubled, he believed in the Christian god— and while I honor the norse gods, every time his birthday or death day comes around; I find myself saying the same thing. “Perhaps your god will allow me to cross thresholds to see you, if only for a little.”
I think about the difference, and the heart. About how there is the possibility of my never seeing him again…

A worse provision on the way he cannot carry than too much beer-bibbing; so good is not, as it is said, beer for the sons of men.
The last stanza mentioned that the best thing a traveler could carry is wit. In contrast, this stanza is stating that the worst thing to carry is alcohol.
Understandably, too much alcohol is frowned upon as it affects one’s wits. And another stanza I know is coming up soon will affirm this statement, stanza 5 ties in with these lines because if you are too drunk, you are going to be a fool and those with wit and intelligence are going to laugh at you.
Even if you aren’t funny, you may be mean and damage friendships or environments.
Now, this verse is not black and white. It’s not saying “Don’t Drink or you’ll be in trouble.” as other texts may demand of their followers. Rather, the gods are known to have drinks now and then, sometimes even too much. This stanza is saying you probably shouldn’t get smashed.
Plus liquids are heavy during hiking, trying to drink while trekking a strenuous trail will definitely not work in your favor!
I’m seeing a lot of white Norse Pagans joking about “Spicy Germans” in the Norse pagan sphere. Newsflash, poking fun at Neo-Nazis is not activism. It does nothing to protect the communities disproportionately harmed by Nazi ideology (especially Jewish and Romani communities). Saying “Spicy German” isn’t cute or funny. It is a poor attempt to poke fun at a serious problem in your sphere that you are not willing to actually address, because “well I’m making fun of them so clearly I’m not one of them”.

Hi, I'm alex and I'm
Looking for a Mentor.
Now that I have your attention, these are the details:
I would like one or two short- or long term mentors who can help me expand my knowledge in witchcraft.
I obviously don't know everything and I'd love to learn from others!
Some things I'd be interested in learning about:
mediumship, methods to train my clairs, green witchcraft, spellcrafting, crystals, baneful magic, seidr, demons, draconic witchcraft, and other witch paths that are (obv) not closed.
I have at least a basic knowledge on most of these topics but.. ya never know.
I do feel the need to say that I am not always able to do things immediately when you ask me to because i have mental health issues and it just doesn't work like that :') I would appreciate if you, as my mentor, would also reach out to me because i can be quite forgetful and I don't mean any harm by not messaging you for a couple days. I just forget sometimes. :/
However, if you're interested in mentoring me please fill out this short survey!
River Water 💧 Known for its cleansing and renewal properties. River Water is an excellent substitute for moon water as it is essentially moon water! Cleanse floors, altar tools, charge items you wear such a jewelry and garments all utilizing River Water. Place at your altar for deities directly associated with water elements. Add to the bath when looking to expand on natural watery elements of your personal birth chart. [Warning: this can cause more intense emotional responses.] #riverwater #witchesoftheworld #folkmagic #norse #pagan #Wiccan #herbalwitch #moonwater #spellwork #witch #Charlotte #charlottenc #northcarolina #southcarolina (at Matthews, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVTPddYrXcL/?utm_medium=tumblr
If your Norse paganism makes Jewish and Romani people feel unsafe it’s trash.
Stop taking sources from Nazis it’s literally not that hard.
My newest piece, Gungnir, Odin’s spear— surrounded by runes that are very dear to me. Might add color/shading later, might stick to the minimalist look.
The Havamal stanza 36 --
Its better to have a home,
even if it's little--
everyone should call somewhere "home".
Even if you own just two goats
beneath a faulty roof,
that's still better than begging.
I would interpret this as saying appreciate the little things. What do y'all think?
This is low-key me with Loki, I won't lie 😂😅
💜Hydrangea, or Hydrangea macrophylla, is a genus of over 75 species of flowering plants native to Asia and the Americas. Hydrangea flower color changes based on the pH in soil. As the graph depicts, soil with a pH of 5.5 or lower will sprout blue hydrangeas, a pH of 6.5 or higher will produce pink hydrangeas, and soil in between 5.5 and 6.5 will have purple hydrangeas. ✨
