Tree limbs in my view
Tree limbs in my view
So, yesterday my family and I visited a National Park Paklenica under the mountain Velebit. (before anyone goes off on how there is a pandemic going around; Croatia has officially become safe awhile back and we are free to roam some places without a pass as long as we follow safety procedures and rules. I am leaving it at this for now)
Paklenica, just like our other National Parks that I’ve visited, is breathtaking! Beautiful mountains, really amazing water creeks (safe for drinking as well! Croatia is known for having some of the cleanest waters in the world!), and just amazing nature over all! I honestly spent most of my time moving beetles and grasshoppers from the path so nobody steps on them by accident.
I will be sharing some pictures I took of the NP Paklenica as soon as I am able to.
I also got to meet one amazing Oak Tree that is growing right in the middle of the hiking trail. So majestic. There were other Oak Trees around that trail as well, I was so excited. And so many other beautiful Trees, I think most of them were Beech Trees. There were also Trees that were merging with each other, mostly two, but I found a spot where three of them were growing together like that!
Here comes the weird as to why I am writing this in detail anyway. Somewhere along that trail I caught the attention of a group of smaller local spirits (maybe they are even some type of Fae? I don’t know) and they followed me around and made weird sounds. I only noticed them because one tugged at me. I didn’t expect to “see” anything of that kind there and I have definitely never seen anything like them before. They were humanoid in shape, and at first I thought they had weird faces with long beak-like noses, but it turns out they are all wearing masks that have a shape that looks like long beak-like nose. Some of them had tails. Most of their masks had branch-like outgrowths at the top, so definitely Forest Beings. A few of them even wore what I assume were hats, and didn’t have masks. Most of them followed me to the edge of that forest (same trail with Oak Tree in the middle), where different type of forest begins. Except one that kept going with me.
We eventually returned to the same trail and I noticed that these creatures were actually watching us from tree-tops and would jump down and follow us around some more. Until we came to the edge of that forest but on the opposite side. Again, this one being stuck around. I thought many times it would go back. But it ended up coming home with me. It seemed “tired” in my car and cautious in my house. Would stare at me from behind my own couch.
I don’t feel threatened by any of this, they seem very friendly. And it seems they got comfortable since last night. And their mask has changed a bit for some reason as well?
This has never really happened to me. I had been watched and followed around by Forest Spirits and Entities, and Fae before, but they usually stayed within their forests, unless they were already a being I worked with or knew.
No entity has ever followed me back home for several hours worth drive and stayed overnight. I will need some time to figure out how to communicate with them and what to make of this really. But their company is kind of soothing and fun.
So, maybe a new friend?
I know I have so much other work to do, but I couldn’t resist drawing this sketch.
The two beings depicted are the Twin Oaks, as I remember them in their spirit forms/manifestations. Some key details may be missing from the drawn depictions, but I shall correct them once my “second sight” becomes a little clearer. I consider the two of them to be my mentors and I trust them a lot.
The little faun-being in the middle is the depiction of myself as another forest spirit (the full deer-like form can be found in my other sketches). It’s how I am during Astral Travels. It is the spirit of my Tree, one that I drew before too but need to fix nearly everything about it..I am not the best at nailing my visions and stuff from my Astral Travels the first time I try to draw them and I usually don’t share my very first attempts, but here we are.
That’s about it from me for today, enjoy~
This is a
collection of my experiences and past events that lead to my current practice
and beliefs, along with an explanation of what it is right now.
I will not share every single detail about my past, experiences, practice and beliefs as I don’t really find it necessary here. And I will not share things that are private to me or anyone else involved, human or not.
This is my first time coming out with this; it took me a great amount of time to get to the point where I decided I was finally ready to share this outside my circle of close friends.
Disclaimer: Long text below the line
I originally planted 10 acorns last Autumn, 7 of them grew. All of these are children of the Oak Trees I work with. All of them are Pubescent Oaks (fluffy leaves).
This one froze over the Winter, but I had a feeling it was still alive. It grew anew in the Spring! Very proud!
These two sweethearts growing wide! <3
This baby had a few of its leaves eaten by a caterpillar. I relocated it and I’m hoping to see the Oak baby recover.
One of the smaller ones of the group.
And the tallest one! I think this one was the first one to sprout. It was a victim of some snails, but recovered as well.
This one is a very special child. Sprouted 3 babies out of one acorn. I didn’t know this could happen.
I love all of them very much! I got one oak baby from my aunt, but sadly that one didn’t survive the move from a tiny cup to a larger vase. </3
They will be planted in a forest this Autumn (a year from being planted as acorns) and I hope all of them survive and grow into beautiful big Oak Trees!
Why is this me
(Art by Daniel Drake)
Is there anything quite like sitting in an open meadow in May surrounded by oak trees?
Do you ever get so overwhelmed with how amazing life can be? Like, I cry sometimes just because I see a dog. Thunderstorms are a thing. Picturesque sunsets threaten me with their beauty everyday. And don’t even get me started on trees.
