The New Slogan
“What happens here, only happens here,” Slightly different from the preceding slogan but the essence still remains true to the city. After 17 years of running with the same tagline, the city tried to rebrand itself while not stripping it of the things that make it what it is.
Unveiled in January 2020 at the Grammys, the new slogan is an attempt to step away from the “let loose” nature of Sin City.
While still wanting the viewers to relate to a sense of freedom, the purpose of the campaign is to paint Vegas in a slightly different light. They want them to think about the experiences that only happen in Vegas, like Valentine’s Day, March Madness, those are things that only Las Vegas does in a particular way.
The slogan also got a custom hashtag #OnlyVegas to keep up with the modern times and to create a buzz on social media.
