I would like to say how thankful I am for my boyfriend. My mother just passed away last week, and he has been so supportive and caring. It's a huge relief to have someone by my side constantly. I appreciate all his kind words, and hugs, and how he handles my ups and downs. I'm thankful he got to meet my mom before she passed as well ❤

sweeps in portland, oregon:
the city has been trying to "clean up"--that means completely getting rid of homeless peoples' tents and other belongings. activists have tried to find a solution, and the city has agreed to collect trash twice a week from designated cans and leave the encampments, but they won't pay for it. Clarence is a man who's trying to raise money for it with the defense fund pdx, an organization that both runs bail funds and provides tents and other resources for the homeless around portland. he already pays nearly $3000 a month out-of-pocket to purchase tents, sleeping bags, and other necessary supplies to distribute, and needs help covering the cost.
the money is needed tomorrow, 5/16.
please donate if you can, and help spread the word! unhoused people are losing everything they have, on top of all the stress they already experience, and this needs to end. more info can be found here:
please note that everything I've said about the garbage cans I believe to be true, but it was explained to me in-person by Clarence, and I'm going off memory. anything @riot-control-camp adds is accurate; they were there too. even if I'm completely mistaken, this man is a hero and deserves all the support we can give.
thank you so much! I'm gonna tag some blogs to help spread the word:
