Being someone who triple checks locking the door and sorts through all his possessions, Peter Jarecki can definitely get caught up with minute technicalities during the creative process. To him urgings such as “move on” or “just get it done” sound like “just cut corners” or “do a half-ass job.” Gaining skill and experience does expedite Jarecki’s process, however, to date it remains a drawn-out one where the compulsion to fully realize an idea outweighs the time and effort it might take.
Rock Despot, now solely Jarecki’s project, is a continuation of Ghetto Pony, which also included David Hoult and James Rogers, who perform on all Ghetto Pony/Rock Despot albums up to and including Overflow. Since the release of Overflow, Jarecki has been creating video content for its various songs, collaborating with other musicians, and formulating a solo approach for future Rock Despot music.
