Its already been years since we last took photos together on a windy day with broken mirrors flying about. Today I am meeting Maja Svisdahl to plan our next shoot.

Decided that as the weather was so nice to walk the circular route round Hambleton Peninsular at Rutland Water. Just the 10.5 mile round trip from home as today’s allowable exercise.
Both images Pentax 67 with Rollei Superpan 200, developed in APH-09 1:50 for 25 mins at 20°C
It seems to have been quite a winter for snow falls in the smallest English county of Rutland. After a heavy fall at the end of January with around 8″ of snow, Beast from the East II came to visit on the 7th February with an accumualtion during the day and over night, then constant snow on the 8th with depths towards the 8″ mark. These two images were taken on 9th February after most of the snow had fallen.
Both images Pentax 67 using Kodak Tri-X.

Two frames from a very damp visit to Harringworth Viaduct on the Rutland Northamptonshire borders in the East Midlands, UK on the 21st January 2021. We had a few days of almost constant rain and the River Welland has broken its banks and flooded across its floodplain at Harringworth.
Both images are taken using the Pentax 67 with Rollei Superpan 200. Top image using an orange filter, the bottom one an orange and 10 stop ND filter.
The negatives were processed in APH-09 diluted 1:50 for 23 minutes @ 20°C. This is longer than advertised for “normal development” of Superpan, usually 17 minutes in Rodinal (APH-09 is an older version) but I wanted to expand the mid tones a little. To do this I allowed the film to be over processed which has the effect of moving the mid tone / highlight zones and increasing the tonal range of the whole image, while not affecting the shadow zones as they don’t gain much extra density from over development, their density is dictated by exposure.
The wonderful Kine Ulvestad invited me to contribute with photos for her residency at Kiosken. The photographs and Kine`s crochet pieces will be exhibited this Saturday at Kiosken from 12-17. Please notify your visit due to covid restrictions. You will be able to purchase the framed photos.
A couple from a roll of Portra 400, shot over the Christmas and new year period before lockdown took hold of the UK once again.
Top image is the church at Normanton on the shores of Rutland Water using just the little stopper, so 4 stops of extra exposure for the filter factor.
The bluethroat is a Christmas tree decoration I think I bought somewhere in France, which is just a beautiful wooden carving. One of the birds I would like to see but there are so few in the UK you have to be very lucky.
