โCome to the Dark Side โ we have chocolate!โ
Hey guys! This is my part for an art trade Iโm doing with my good friend @cursebreakerfarrierโ, featuring our HPMA Defense Against the Dark Arts teaching duo โ her perfect angel of a man, Professor Alistair Schaefer, and my Sour Patch Teacherโs Assistant, Erik Apollo!
My prompt was our kiddos having some โdown timeโ together between classes, and I decided to combine that prompt with another drawing idea Iโd had AGES ago for these two, but somehow never got around to drawing for Halloween time the way Iโd hoped: dressing these two as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars!
The way I see it, Alistair and Erik collaborated on their costumes as a fun surprise for their students (also including their mutual friend, fellow professor Jasper Kingsley, as Mace Windu), and naturally ALL of the Muggle-borns at school freaked at the sight of their coolest teachers looking that bit cooler. On popular request from their seventh years, Erik and Alistair held an honorary โlightsaber duelโ (with wands, of course) during class. Alistair managed to win, though Erik rather cheekily insisted heโd let Alistair win, to add to the believability of their costumes. Several Muggle-born and halfblood students also begged Erik and Alistair to dress in the same costumes the following year, so that they could jump in on dressing up as Star Wars characters too โ Erik smirked from ear to ear at the idea of his surrogate little sister Eos dressing as Ahsoka Tano, as well as his three โapprenticesโ Jordi, Mitch, and H.G. (@cursebreakerelmswoodโ, @department-shoe-studโ, and @ljthebard1โ) as Han Solo, Luke and Leia.
After a very fun, but very long and draining day, Alistair and Erik were finally able to take a breath alone in Alistairโs classroom and enjoy some of the Honeydukes sweets their students had brought up for them from the Great Hall. For most of the day, Alistair was able to keep his composure even if he was having fun and smiling a lot โ but when Erik put on his best Darth Vader impression to offer his superior a Chocolate Frog, Alistair finally lost it, his โfacepalmโ unable to hide the huge, amused grin that had overtaken his face or suppress the laughter bubbling up in the back of his throat.
