    Seeds of Reality 100

When men become amiable through following their fancies, women become masculine by being impudent.

A beautiful woman entering a gathering of brothers awakens hypocrisy, rivalry, and envy. That is to say, the unveiling of women led to the unveiling of bad morals in civilized man.

SUNAN abi DAWUD : The Rites of Hajj (Kitab Al-Manasik Wa'l-Hajj) Hadith 146

Ibn ‘Umar said The Prophet (ﷺ) used to enter Makkah from the upper hillock. The version of Yahya goes:

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to enter Makkah from Kuda’ from the hillock of Batha’. He would come out from the lower hillock.

Al Barmaki added “that is the two hillocks of Makkah”.

The version of Musaddad is more complete.

    DAILY DUA

Dua seeking good in this world and in the hereafter

    رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

    Translation

And of them there are some (righteous believers) who say:

“Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Hell Fire!”

    Note:

    1. It is incorrect to ask from Allah for this world only. Allah mentions this misbehavior in the preceding ayah as;

… But of mankind there are some who say: “Our Lord! Give us (Your Bounties) in this world!” and for such there will be no portion in the Hereafter. (2:200)

    2. This was one dua the prophet of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say in abundance.

    Transliteration

rabbanaaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa ḥasanatan wa fil-aakhirati ḥasanatan wa qinaa ‛adhaab-an-naar

    Sources: Surah Al-Baqarah (2:201)

So my dad has been in New Mexico for the past couple weeks spending time with his parents because my grandad isn't doing too well (I'm in Georgia btw) and before he left I asked him for updates on my grandad. Well I got to talk to my dad today, honestly it was great. I didn't really realize how much I missed him, like hearing his voice joking around with him. When my mom handed me the phone I greeted him with "howdy" and it literally sounded like his voice lit up and he said howdy back. Oh my goodness it filled my heart. He said he felt like this was where he was supposed to be, helping take care of his dad, it was so sweet. And we joked a bit, it was great. He's coming home Wednesday night, and he'll be able to watch my tennis match Thursday. I'm so excited, I can't wait to see him again.

And if anyone reads this far, and if you pray, please keep my grandad in your prayers. I know y'all don't know me, or him, but if you do that sort of thing I'd appreciate it. He needs the love right now. Thank you

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): The Treaty of Hudaybiyah and Calling the Great States of the World to Islam

The Expedition of Sons of Murra

(8th year of the Migration, the month of Safar)

Four hundred of the soldiers in the army that besieged the Muslims during the Battle of Khandaq and that was led by Abu Sufyan b. Harb belonged to Sons of Murra. Besides, they had martyred 28 out of 30 mujahids of the team led by Bashir b. Sa’d that the Messenger of God had sent to punish them.

The Messenger of God wanted to teach this tribe, which was an enemy of Islam, a lesson. Therefore, he sent two hundred mujahids led by Ghalib b. Abdullah against Sons of Murra.

Ghalib b. Abdullah and the mujahids with him approached Sons of Murrah. He addresses the mujahids there saying, “Do not disobey me! The Messenger of God (pbuh) said, ‘A person who disobeys a commander appointed by me is regarded to have disobeyed me.’ Accordingly, if you disobey me, you will be regarded to have disobeyed the Prophet.”

Upon the order of their commander, the mujahids attacked Sons of Murra very early in the morning uttering takbirs. The mujahids killed many of them and captured their wives and children; they captured many camels, cattle and sheep as booty.

Usama Kills a Person Thinking that he was a Polytheist

Hazrat Usama b. Zayd followed a person called Mirdas b. Nahik and killed him thinking that he was a polytheist. He told  Ghalib b. Abdullah, his commander, about it.

“I followed someone. Just as I was going to hit him with my sword, he said ‘La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah)’.”

Ghalib b. Abdullah asked, “Did you put your sword into its sheath then?”

Usama said, “No, I killed him.”

All of the mujahids said, “By God, you did something that we were not ordered; you killed someone who said, ‘La ilaha illallah’.”

Usama felt very sorry for what he had done.

Then, Ghalib b. Abdullah returned to Madinah with the mujahids.

“Did You Split Open his Heart?”

When they arrived in Madinah, Usama told the Prophet about the incident.

The Messenger of God got very furious and said, “O Usama! You killed someone though he said, ‘La ilaha illallah’?”

Usama alleged an excuse: “O Messenger of God! He said, ‘La ilaha illallah’ because he was afraid of the sword.”

The Messenger of God got more furious when he heard Usama’s excuse and said to him, “Why did you not split open his heart and see whether he was telling the truth or not?”

Usama, whom the Messenger of God loved a lot and generally rode on the same camel with, said,

“The Messenger of God (pbuh) repeated that sentence so much that I said to myself, ‘I wish I were a new Muslim that day and had not killed him.’”

It is necessary to state here that this sentence of Usama was an exaggerated expression of the agony he felt not the reality. When Usama killed the man without paying attention to his utterance of kalima at-tawhid, he probably acted upon the apparent meaning of the verse: “But their (unbelievers’) professing the Faith when they (actually) saw Our Punishment was not going to profit them.” Therefore, the Prophet only rebuked them; he did not order him to pay ransom.

“…Say not to anyone who offers you a salutation: ‘Thou art none of a Believer!’” The verse above was sent down upon this incident.

You guys HAVE NO IDEA the panic rant I just saved you from like I went off and almost cried. It wasn’t my best moment tbh but I’ll share what I got from it.

Prayer is important, the world sucks, make reparations. We’re human and what we do often doesn’t feel like “enough” but as Christians and especially as Catholics we have a LOT of responsibility and it can be overwhelming. If you’re here and you’re trying to make a difference in this world for the Glory of God, you’re doing good. Don’t ponder the word “enough”, just focus on Jesus and know that He hears you. And know that you’re not alone. Not only are we -your brothers and sisters in Christ- with you, but all of the angels and saints and the Trinity are with you as well. Living in this world is tough and sometimes it’s hard to breathe, but faith, hope, prayer, and Jesus, can accomplish the impossible.

MAKTUBAT IMAM RABBANI: First Volume, 53rd Letter

This letter, written to Sayyid Shaikh Farid again, states that disagreement among savants will cause confusion.

May Allahu ta'ala not separate you from the way of your blessed ancestor! We have heard that, having a pure heart suitable for Islam, you have selected four savants who love their faith and have invited them to the palace to teach the commandments of the Shariat, so that nothing should be done in contradiction with the Shariat. Thanks be to Allah for this news. What good news could be greater than this for Muslims? What news could be sweeter than this for those with afflicted hearts? This faqir [Imam-i Rabbani "quddissa sirruh' means himself] wanted to visit you in order that this useful deed could be done, and I wrote to you several times that I would come over. I therefore cannot help writing a few things now. Please forgive me! As the saying goes, "A person with determination is like a lunatic." The most important thing that I would like to write to you about is that among today's men of din there is next to no one who does not desire rank and money and who strives only for the spreading of the Shariat and for the strengthening of Islam. When the desire of obtaining a post or seizing a chair is mixed with the matter, each man of din will take a different way and try to show his own superiority. They will contradict one another and (exploit this situation to) ingratiate themselves with you. Sad to say, religious matters have become of secondary importance. In the time of the previous government, every catastrophe that befell the Muslims were caused by these so-called men of din. [In order to curry favor, they wrote fabled translations of the Qur'an, wrong fatwas, and books which disagreed with the words of Ahl as-sunnat savants. And the enemies of religion masked themselves as men of din and wrote as they liked, misrepresenting Islam as if it were incompatible with mind, science and improvement.] We, Muslims, fear such a disaster now, too. We are afraid that the din, let alone being improved, may be demolished again. May Allahu ta'ala protect Muslims against the evils of these false men of religion! It will be difficult enough for you to find or choose a savant who loves his faith, which is a great blessing. For the words and writings of the savant who thinks of the next world will bring everyone with wisdom and conscience round to the right course. They will affect the hearts. Where on earth is such a savant now? If you cannot find him, try to find the least harmful one from among others. There is a famous saying: "If something cannot be obtained altogether, it should not be given up altogether." I am at a loss as to what to write. As the happiness of people is in the hands of savants, so it is that the enemies of din disguised as religious men lead people towards perdition, towards Hell. A good man of din is the best of people. And a man of din who makes the din a means for his worldly desires and who deranges others' iman is the worst of the world. Men's happiness and destruction, their coming round to the right way and their leaving of the right way are in the hands of men of din. One of our superiors saw the devil sitting idly and asked him why. The devil said: "The religious men of today do our job. They do not leave us any work to misguide people."

    Translation of a Persian couplet:

The person disguised as a religious man who hoards worldlies

Has lost his own way; how can he ever guide others?

For this reason, be very careful with your actions. Once the chance has been missed it will not come back again. I should have felt ashamed to advise you. But I wrote this letter of mine deeming it a document for my salvation in the Hereafter. Wassalam.

Everyday Sahabah: Khalifa Ali bin Abu Talib (RA):PART 452

    When did God exist

A Jew went to Ali and asked him, "When did God exist." Ali said that God is above consideration of time and space. Creation was not, and He was. He was while there was no being. He existed without cause. He has no beginning and no end. He is subject to no limitations. He is infinite. He is the end of all soul.

The Jew next asked, "What is fate." Ali said. "It is a gloomy road; treat it not." The Jew repeated the question for the third time and Ali said, "It is a mystery of God which is hidden from you; do not probe into it. "The Jew insisted on a reply, and Ali asked him, "Has God created you for what he has willed, or what you have willed?" Thereupon Ali said, "Then He will do with you as He thinks fit, and that is fate." This impressed the Jew and he was converted to Islam at the hand of Ali.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'I have no reward except Jannah for a believing slave of Mine who shows patience and anticipates My reward when I take away his favourite one from the inhabitants of the world."' [Al-Bukhari].
