Quarantine Puzzle #6- Ravensburger Kiss The Girl- 1000 pieces
I do not know how long this took us. It was a while. It was so hard, you guys.
i’m watching a youtube video of a guy who solves puzzles and he’s stuck and he keeps saying “aha i got it” and shit like that bc it makes him feel good and successful and it’s so funny i swear to god
Welp I just put together 2 puzzles lol.
Trying to keep busy during this time of social distancing
While resetting the Chromecast in our living room, I noticed this little dude waltzing across the sound bar mounted above the TV:
Something you gotta understand is my mom hates lizards. She doesn’t want to see them harmed, but if one gets on her? There’s going to be dancing and shrieking. We usually get the little baby lizards in the house from time to time, and it’s my job (or my dad’s) to trap it under a cup or our hands to take it outside to release in the bushes. This was a big one.
So I kept an eye on him while I reset the Chromecast and once I was done, I calmly said, “Mom, you’re probably going to want to stand up so you can move away, because there is a big green lizard on the sound bar.”
It was too high up for my short ass to reach, but thankfully my dad was able to scoop it into a tupperware container and cover it with a magazine so I could get it outside to release. He ran off into the bushes after allowing me to take that lovely portrait.
Secondly, puzzle number two is now set up. Once we got all the pieces set out, I made the realization:
The entire border is white. We’re probably going to have to work this one from the inside out instead of the opposite like we normally do.
And here we thought this one was going to be easier because it’s Totoro.
Good morning. How is everyone?
Hoping to keep things chill today: comic books and video games. There’s work to do, but it can wait.
but honestly, when this got finished, it was ugly..
Hey guys, check out how hard I can hyperfocus 8)

This week I turned my attention towards UI and puzzles! I spent numerous amount of hours attempting to create in-game books and a player journal. Overall I am happy with the outcome, although at the moment, they remain bare bones.
I started to develop the first puzzle, that involves a riddle and plenty of jump scares for you guys! Prepare for a cluster of barrels coming your way soon. In addition, I’ve nearly finished building Level 4 (which contains The Warden) and I also spent time polishing the code and hierarchy.
I don’t want to show off to much of the puzzle, as I don’t want to spoil the game, however I have made a Week 10 Development Vlog showcasing the highlights from that week!
Going into next week, I’ll be delving back into AI and hopefully polishing up Levels 1 and 2. With this done, I can start to roll out the game, ready for play testing! (here’s to hoping 🙌) Below are more juicy screenshots to quench your thirst and thanks again for taking such an interest in The Forsaken Ruins! (Including the Level 4 Build)
As always, there will be a new blog post next Monday and I hope its a big one! I’m sure getting tired of the first level… 😂
Until then, take it easy, stay clean and Cheers! 😎
