Collab with @gamingmint !!! We were watching the Colorado Avalanche game on Wednesday, and Mint just yells “WHY IS HE WATERING HIS KNEES!!!” It probably makes no sense to anyone but us but we judt had to draw it 🥳
You think they did parent teacher conferences at Beacon? Because Tai and Summer would 100% pull a Wang Fire/Sapphire Fire moment to protect their teammates’ cover.
Granted. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Oz was on to the Branwens from day one and saw through their “disguises”. But he seems like the kind of guy who’d play along to see where it goes.
Hey! So when are we going to acknowledge that Taiyang in V4 was being a dick with Yang with his toxic positivity of “stop moping around and complain, be better!”, specially when it’s implied that’s what he did after Summer’s death which made Yang have to grow up so fast to help in the house and raising Ruby while dealing with Qrow alcoholism (which Ruby has too as well) and they never said a thing to Taiyang while Yang with 19y old haven’t still grieve her mom’s dead and Ruby with 17 is still repressing all her negative feelings for this mindset Taiyang gave them? And this is why right now both Ruby and Yang have a disagreement because Yang is realizing that’s a fucked up mindset while Ruby is still clinging into this mindset without letting herself break down?
Or are we supposed to just continue making as if Yang and Ruby don’t have a pretty fucked up childhood and no good adults in their lifes?
Summary: Hours after the Fall of Beacon, Qrow swings by to check on James before the general must return to Atlas. A storm is brewing as tensions are running high with Ozpin missing and the maiden powers stolen. James is slowly beginning his descent into fear and distrust, leaving it up to Qrow to snap him out of it. James asks Qrow to come back to Atlas with him, but Qrow knows he has to refuse.
Notes: In this fic, I’m using @oddlyhale headcanon for James semblance since tbh his canon one is a little disappointing. So James’ semblance is now something they called Resistance: “James has the ability to manifest hordes of unbreakable barbed wires around him. It’s a manifestation of his spite and vulnerability, which works as a defense mechanism. While he does have control over them, the wires also have a mind of their own. They work to protect him at all costs. If provoked, they won’t hesitate to slice those who mean to harm James or defy him. However, Resistance can by bypassed if James has hope/trust in the individual approaching him(Qrow or Winter for example). (This is just loosely based on their idea as we had discussed it on twitter, but for more in depth details on how it works, check out their tumblr.)

Wooooah we’re halfway there. Wooo-OOAH! Livin’ on a prayer!
We’ve made it halfway through the week fellow ironqrows. Today’s prompts belong to our always favourite AU day: Historical AU and Futuristic AU. As always, you are free to interpret these however you want and create whatever fannish content you desire.
Remember to tag your post with #ironqrow and #ironqrowweek in the first five tags to get it into both tags, so everyone, including us, can see it! You can also @ the blog to be certain we see it and reblog it.
Have fun!
For our 400th HC, we followed Clover and his pals as they celebrated his bachelor party! This time, we’re gonna come full circle and celebrate Qrow’s bachelor party!
Since Tai is Qrow’s best man, it makes sense that he’s the organizer (Or rather, the organTAIzer as he jokes, much to everyone but Yang’s chagrin (”Can we go one day without the dad jokes?!” “Sorry, didn’t realize they…FATHER you do much!” “AHHHH!”).
There’s some overlap between the guests at Qrow’s bachelor party and Clover’s bachelor party. Obviously, Tai attends both, he invites Marrow for the same reason Marrow invited him (Best Man Buds) as well as Robyn and Elm since Tai knows Qrow is friends with them. Qrow, Harriet, and Vine aren’t all that close and neither Harriet nor Vine seem all that interested in going, so Tai doesn’t see much of a problem with not inviting them. There are two different guests at Qrow’s bachelor party though: Port and Oobleck! After all, they were shown to be close with Tai in V4 so it would make sense for them to be friends with Qrow as well. They liven up the party!
With Qrow, there are some limits on the places that are safe to have a bachelor party at while still doing something fun, so instead, Tai goes in a different direction, and instead plans a weekend long trip for himself, Qrow, and the other guests to Beacon!
Just as Tai expects, Qrow’s into the idea. He enjoys reminiscing, there’s a ton of good and nostalgic restaurants to visit, and Beacon’s located next to a cool town – not to mention, it’s summer, so they more or less have the campus all to themselves! It’s affordable and gives them all a ton to do for an awesome bachelor party! Clover tells them to take lots of pictures as he sees them off with a final kiss to Qrow’s cheek!
More under the cut!
I know Miles and Kerry watch anime.
I know Jason has credits outside of Qrow that most people don’t know of or remember…
What I’m saying is, Jason voiced a character from an anime I once watched called Black Cat. That character’s name was Train; and at one point in life, he was an assassin. He also had a catchphrase “I came to deliver some bad luck.”
What I’m saying is that when Qrow breaks out of jail, brings his new sister Robyn to meet his nieces, their girlfriends and teammates, punches Jimmy’s lights out, escapes Atlas, and has his reunion with Tyrian, I need one of the writers to let Jason give me the biggest nostalgia high ever:
@ironqrowweek Day 3 - After the Rain
“Qrow?” he mumbled, “I’m so sorry–”
Qrow cut him off. “You idiot, I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“Is this your cape?”
“You looked cold. Don’t mention it.”
