I’m kinda surprised Drag Race hasn’t lip synced to Rebecca Black’s “Friday” yet.

Worst of the 2010s Music: Rebecca Black “ Friday”
With my decades list for this year one thing will be kept simple. No ties on either section. For the worst of course will have one single entry.
We begin with one headscratcher of a hit from 2011.
Rebecca Black was one of the most polarizing figures of the decade. Respect came for her but back when she was 14 she had one major stumble out of the gate with this ode to weekend shenanigans known as Friday.
Autotune was prevalent but this was where it had crested, as the dull drum of her songs blandness was mulled into a mess of cliches and fluffiness.
The rap part was also out of completely nowhere.
When this mess of a song is made better by Glee and Stephen Colbert you know how bad it was for her.
The legal issues involved with this also placates to how bad she had it out of the gate.
Glad to see she’s overcome that point. Cause her cover of Chained to the rhythm was engaging.
Sum 22: Easy choice for the decades worst tune as weekend gun jumping has consequences for all involved and who hear this.
I want LoverFest to be a show of female solidarity now.
I don’t want any special guests that didn’t speak on Taylor’s behalf this past week. I want to see her up on stage with Selena Gomez, Halsey, Kesha, Camila Cabello, Hayley Kiyoko, Sara Bareilles, Rebecca Black, Christina Perri, Icon for Hire, Emily Vaughn, Lily Lane, Lauren Sanderson, Echosmith, Nina Nesbitt, Tinashe, Ella Eyre, Lily Allen, and any other women that spoke for her.
The only men on that stage should be Todrick Hall, Damian McGinty, Anthony Amorim, and the guys from Queer Eye. And Brendon Urie.
I want this tour to be surrounding Taylor with loud, vocal, screaming love and support. She deserves nothing less.
Last night I had to go to sleep depressed as hell. Thinking about how Jacob was nine when his mom died and she was hardely mentioned in the series. All we know is that she was a part-time painter, Jacob got his kind and cheerful personality from her according to Charlie. Which side note was stripped from him after New Moon! Also that she died from a car crash and her body was so mangled they had to have her coffin nailed shut at her funeral. I want to know more about her, what was she like, how did her death impact Jacob. Since from what I’ve read it seemed like he didn’t take it as hard as his sisters.

“hey.” it’s a monotonous greeting, given that he’s only stood at the nurse’s desk because he WANTS something ; but that’s cristian all over, his lack of care never FAILING to astonish. maybe he would have more empathy ( emphasis on the maybe ) if he didn’t think that the person he was checking in on deserved to croak it. a horrible take, he was sure he’d be told if anyone heard it out loud, but his opinion nonetheless. he wants to be ANYWHERE but here, and it’s obvious from the way he holds himself - arms crossed, hands tucked in underneath his arms, shoulders slumped and expression guarded. scratch that last part. that was just him, in general. “i needa see someone. can you help me with that?”
It’s pretty damn short. But it’s all I’m listening to for a while.
