In Alberta, they’ve just raid and put a fence around a church. This is why you must push back when they try to shut your doors. This is bad bad bad. I hope the church worships next to the fence come Sunday.

in general, i have not the best opinion of groups and figures whose approach to political action is just pointing out inconsistencies or establishing strict-logic-of-the-law situations that ostensibly “beat” the system and then think that like, that’s that and they’ve won, bc like power doesn’t care about consistency, it cares about the maintenance of power

#when the universe wants to punish me it makes me repeatedly see shit abt the satanic temple #and how it's singlehandedly saved abortion rights in the US #like idk #calling the bluff of the US's Christian supremacy and the fact that 'religious liberty' means 'conservative Christians can do whatever' #loses a little bit of its spark when like that's just the bare reality of it and they have no obligation to posture abt this #what's that Kwame Ture line abt nonviolence depending on your opponent having a conscience and the US having none #idk like........ if calling a bluff will have absolutely no material effects then maybe it's time to decenter that strategy #and work towards developing political power that can actually challenge and change shit

Minnesota Removes Attendance Restrictions on Churches

Minnesota Removes Attendance Restrictions on Churches

ST. PAUL, MN — Governor Tim Walz recently rescinded all occupancy requirements on Minnesota’s houses of worship with the issuance of his latest Executive Order 21-11. Governor Walz has ended the state’s 50 percent occupancy requirements on church attendance. In January, the 250-person limit was revoked, but the 50 percent capacity restriction remained. However, that ended March 15. Thomas More…

    To my fellow Christian Americans.

    To my Republican friends.

It is time to leave the Republican Party that now loves perjury and has turned Evil.

"These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to one another, render true and perfect justice in your gates. And do not contrive evil against one another, and do not love perjury, because all those are things that I hate – declares the Lord,”

Real American Patriots believe in Truth, Justice and the American Way.

    God bless America.

I also feel like the one constant of my life is waking up every morning - regardless of whether I actually slept - looking at whatever incredibly uncomfortable string of dreams I had, going "We don't have time to unpack ALL of that!" and moving on, trying to forget them throughout the day but instead just filing them away in the Trauma Bank ™ where I slowly realise that X element was a trauma thing (has been the whole time, bitch) and despair over how many motifs and scenarios my trauma manages to take route in while I'm not entirely conscious

#not writing #mo yells into the void #mental health #I can't go to therapy I don't have enough vacation days #i used them all on things religious liberty laws are supposed to cover #and the nhs mental health services seem determined to either pawn you off on a specialist that can't help #or put you in the ground themselves #(fuck italk) #(fuck cahms too) #vaguing about dreams tag #i just want to sleep a) deeply b) for more than two consecutive hours without waking and c) without dreams #mental health tag

    Unconstitutionality of Pandemic Bans

(John Cardillo @JohnCardillo: CDC—No Longer Constrained By Trump—Issues Order That Makes Not Wearing A Mask On Public Transportation A Federal Crime. “A Federal Crime." CDC is now the legislative and executive branches combined, drafting then signing bills into law.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2021/01/30/cdc-order-makes-not-wearing-a-mask-on-public-transportation-a-federal-crime/)

Allison Fedder: Between late-rent reprieve and no-mask federal crime, non-evicted renters could ultimately be homeless/Covid-sick, because now 2 Krogers have closed over demand to increase min. wage, and landlord suits against CDC over the constitutionality of eviction moratorium are piling up.

Jeanne Mouret: Hey, you're right about the unconstitutionality of the eviction moratorium. CDC is fried. (https://twitter.com/nycjim/status/1365345534010138627)

Norman Vincent: Remember how the Left mocked this 5-4 ruling over Covid-19 attendance restrictions in New York churches and synagogues? (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/courts_law/supreme-court-relieves-religious-organizations-from-some-covid-related-restrictions/2020/11/26/305f0094-2fa6-11eb-860d-f7999599cbc2_story.html)

Joseph Seibel: Remember when the Supreme Court reversed California's discriminatory ban on indoor worship? (https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2021-02-05/supreme-court-rules-california-churches-may-open-despite-theing-pandemic)

Albert Cox: These are now 3 separate occasions when Covid-related restrictions or bans have been over-ruled to be unconstitutional-- in favor of the religious services (in NY & CA) and of the property owners.

These are constitutional triumphs against the oppressive Covid-19 tyrannical rule.

Jeanne Mouret: "If putting government regulations above religious rights would not make either side secure, it would be because the promotion of one cause is another’s repression." - @allisonfedder Nov 2, 2016. Denmark law may force preachers to submit sermons to Government

Denmark law may force preachers to submit sermons to Government

Denmark’s religious liberty and the freedom of speech and expression are at risk, say the country’s Christian leaders. A proposed law requiring leaders of all faiths to translate their sermons into Danish and submit them to the government has religious leaders up in arms. The new law, is primarily aimed at radical Islamic groups, but will affect all churches. It is scheduled to be reviewed this…
