Well I know you overwhelmingly wanted me to name her Ariel but she really feels like a Maisy to me. So, we’re naming her Maisy after Masons’ Cavies late baby Maisie. If you all want to keep calling her Ariel I won’t fight you though. However, since I’m the one with a baby guinea pig in bed waking up every 2 hours to feed her my vote counts for like a million votes.
Baby Maisy is doing well. She’s drinking her wombaroo guinea pig formula very well and is quite strong. She even moves a little bit and honestly doesn’t seem to be in pain. We’re doing out best to keep her stumps clean until she is big enough for surgery but that’s proving to be a little challenging. We will figure it out though.
Having a baby that needs round the clock care is adding to our workload significantly which means it will probably be a couple of weeks before I can do a mini-auction fundraiser. I could manage to ship out packages from an auction of that size in a weekend so it wouldn’t be too much to handle. Would you all be excited if we did a 200 to 300 item auction that went from a Thursday to Sunday?
If you would like to contribute to Maisy’s or our many other residents’ care please check out thepipsqueakery.org/help for ways to help! #guineapig #love #rescue #sanctuary #weeklyfluff
