    emmie’s pro tips for surviving a 20+ hour fast:

    1. start your fast at like 5 or 6 pm then take caffeine pills or drink diet coke and stay up super late and sleep in, then if you wake up at 10 or 11 am you are already like 16-17 hours in

    2. DON’T STAY AT HOME ALL DAY!! you are gonna be close to your kitchen and you are going to want to binge your brains out

    3. hang out with a friend, but not too close of a friend. you preferably want one who doesn’t know about your eating disorder and one who wouldn’t give that much of a fuck to ask if you are ok. bonus points if they are thin so u have constant thinspo.

    4. if you live with your parents and have family dinners do whatever you can to not be at home during that time. but if worst comes to worst and you have to sit down for that dinner, take a napkin and place it in your lap and drop the food onto the napkin and fake eat. once you’ve done this enough to look like you’ve eaten a decent amount, offer to clean up after dinner. discretely dispose of the dinner during clean up.

    5. whenever you feel a really strong urge to eat, DO NOT EAT. you are gonna hate yourself after and is that hatred really worth the calories or the 2 minute sensation of eating? NO. find a really good distraction. i personally have a list of movies that i watch that distract me. also doing schoolwork really distracts me too but it can be boring. just do whatever will take your mind off food or hunger.

    you know one thing ive noticed that i fucking hate on here?

    people randomly commenting negatively on other people's calorie counts with shit like "you want to be skinny eating that much?", "oh that's far too much you're not going to get skinny eating like that" or "i could never eat that much without feeling fat"

    did anybody fucking ask?

    these people are struggling with the same disorder you are and your first thought isn't to be proud of them for eating enough to stay safe and not fucking die, or for sticking to their goal or whatever the fuck, but to make them feel awful about the fact they dont fit your idea of what an eating disorder looks like with your unsolicited asshole behaviour?

    the fuck away from me with that shit. i see fucking anybody pulling that shit near me you're getting fucking blocked.

    what may be a lot to you may be massively restricting to someone else with the same disorder. what may be a binge to you may be a regular number to someone else with the same disorder.

    you have no fucking right to comment on how someone's struggle with food and eating disorders presents itself.

    why be an asshole and make things worse. it isn't your experience to comment on. keep your fucking mouth shut.

    all of these women are beautiful, right?

    if you believe that they deserve to respect and love their bodies, why does looking like one of them mean that you should deny yours of the same thing?

    i am not at all telling you to recover or to eat or to change anything you’re doing. it’s not that easy.

    just think about it. you would see your body type as beautiful and worthy if it were on anyone but yourself. maybe others admire you in the way that you admire them.

    everyday is a battle between yourself, and which side you’re going to fight on. one side is the easy side, the one you kind of know will win without even having to see it fight against the other side, which is harder, less guaranteed and it will take a lot more work to win when fighting with this side. However, would you be willing to fight with easy side of your death was guaranteed? or would you take your chances with the harder side because there was a chance you could come out of it feeling amazing because you won?

    this is how i see recovery. it takes a certain type of person to want to fight with the harder side. all of us could choose the easy side and still be happy with the result, but of course there’s a price to pay. ive been fucking around for too long, in and out of bingeing. i’ve decided i’m going to be dedicated to this ed purely because everything else feels like it’s spiralling out of control. i need this.

    i ate too much

    today my mum was going crazy idk why,but she made like a bunch of food and gave it to me and my brother and obviously she made me ate it, calorie intake was about like 1,350 - 1,400 :(

    update! I finished the first 10 days! I feel so good! I’ve been eating a lot more fruit which is great and I have only binged once and went over my limit once! I haven’t lost a lot of weight tbh but I think that I’m gaining muscle from dance!
