From USA Today Bestselling and Award-Winning Author, comes a suspenseful small town mountain romance.
Lost in the shadows of a tragedy that stripped Aurora of everything she once loved, she’s back in the small town of Balsam Grove, ready to face all she’s kept locked away for seven years. Or so she thinks.
As one of the victims of a string of mysterious disappearances in the small, picturesque Appalachian Mountain town, darkness has become her home—her safe blanket when the world reveals its true colors. But as the walls of darkness start to move in on her, she knows the only way to free herself from her past is to face it, head-on. She just needs to figure out how.
Upon arrival, Aurora isn’t expecting her first collision to be with the boy she left all those years ago. The boy who betrayed her trust with no regrets. The boy who is no longer a boy, but a man with the same stormy eyes that swept her into his current before she ever learned to swim.
She’d thought he was safe. He’d thought their path was mapped out. Turns out neither of them was ready for the crash at the bottom of the cascade.

Sam and Sophie had amazing chemistry. What they didn’t have was great communication. They were frustrating with the dance they did around each other, and with each other. This truly was one step forward and two steps back. But underneath it all was the love and respect they had for each other. The reasons they couldn’t stay away were as much as part of themselves as it was the caring for the other. Sometimes a man needs his best friend to set him straight, and then have his mom do the same thing. The HEA that these two are going t be enjoying is going to be epic, because it was right there for so long, just waiting for them to take it!
W.B. and Joy seem like you know what you are getting, and they both seem pretty secure in who they are, but that would be wrong. It is wrong because they completely miss the fact that they are ridiculously attracted to the other one. It is wrong because underneath the façade they show the world, which makes them appear to be opposites, they are more alike then they know. It is wrong because as much as they connect and then turn away from each other, they keep coming back. Joy gets it before W.B., but once they are both on the same page, Christmas magic happens!
Okay, Wes and Penny were a lot of fun! Sweet and sexy, shy and bold, geek and playboy, they didn’t seem like they would fit, but it was always there. That spark between them. The emails, oh the emails they send are the highlight of the story. This was a wonderful holiday romance with a fake marriage on the line as part of a business deal. The fact that it is two Christmas companies on the line, and the deadline is Christmas eve, those are just the tinsel on the story!
Beatrix Becker spent most of her life under the thumb of her controlling, abusive father. And now that she’s free and attending her dream college, she has no idea how to act like the normal crowd: partying, going on dates, even having a conversation. Then she meets Serge Sorensen. Big and surly with a whole host of riotous tattoos, Serge is supposed to scare the hell out of her. But beneath his harsh exterior, Beatrix discovers a kindred spirit who knows what it’s like to be a misfit. Most exhilarating—and terrifying—is what he does for a living: illegal street fighting.
There’s nothing like the rush Serge gets from the intense athleticism and brutal glory of combat—though his chemistry with Beatrix comes close. Slowly at first, he introduces her to his world, where he lives by instinct, passion, and desire. He even helps her out with her equally traumatized brother. But when Serge gets in too deep with the wrong people, he ends up paying in blood. And suddenly, just as Beatrix has been drawn into Serge’s perfectly sculpted arms, she’s thrown once and for all into the fight of his life.
Letty Carmichael can’t believe her eyes when she catches a glimpse of her high school tormenter, wrestling champ Tate Sullivan, on campus. College was supposed to be her escape from Tate’s constant ridicule. Now he’s in her classes again, just waiting for his chance to make her life hell. But when Letty and Tate are partnered up for an assignment—on sex in cinema, of all things—she starts to see a kinder, gentler side of him. And when she realizes Tate knows more about sex than she could ever guess at, he soon starts making her blush in a whole new way.
Tate Sullivan is haunted by regret over his cruelty toward Letty. So when she agrees to work with him, he seizes his chance to make amends. He can’t blame her for not believing he’s for real, but soon Tate starts to break down her wall. She wants to know about passion, desire, lust—topics he is well versed in. And in return she offers the one thing he always wanted: the chance to be more than just a jock.
Letty is shocked by how sensitive Tate can be. Still, desiring him feels ludicrous. Loving him is impossible. Craving him is beyond all reason. So why can’t she stop?
I read a bunch of Nalini Singh books this month, well… reread ☺️ no regrets!
“Messed up doesn’t matter to the heart”
Can I just say I loved Noelle, I mean, I really loved her! She is quiet, unassuming, caring, and you think she is blending into the background, but she isn’t, not really. She is observant, so she sees people, motivations, and acts and reacts for that person specifically. She is a deep feeler, and is in tune with others feelings, so she can comfort and act in a personalized fashion for a person. That is why her being thrown together with Malcolm makes no sense. He is her complete opposite, and that becomes more and more apparent the longer they spend time together. But bits of her and pieces of him start to affect the other. Not a lot, just a little. The attraction between them flares to life, and what once seemed like fun becomes more, deeper. The conflict is always there, hanging, waiting to be revealed. In the end though, those little pieces that rubbed off, they make Malcolm feel and Noelle act, and that queues up the HEA!
