Plain and Simple
Saara, photographed by Adam Amouri in Paris this spring.
I want museums and art galleries and coffee with cream. I want nice pens and good pens, spiral-ringed notebooks with fine lines and leather bound journals with their own lock and key. I want rivers and bridges and the smell of Green, watercolour paints and instrumental music and poetry that makes me think. I want books and books and books, old and new, long and short, poetry and prose and all in between, on shelves or in stacks, on my floor and in my heart.
I want love. I want to hold your hand in my own on a winter morning with my head against your shoulder as we watch the sun rise.
The simplicity of stones.
📖 Anas ibn Malik RadhiAllahu ‘anhu narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Whoever is concerned about the Hereafter, Allah will place richness in his heart, bring his affairs together, and the world will come to him although he is reluctant for it.
Whoever is concerned about the world, Allah will place poverty between his eyes, disorder his affairs, and he will get nothing of the world but what is decreed for him.”
