This mask has a light whipped texture and is baby pink in color. It does have a sweet scent to it, kinda like marshmallows. I don’t find it overpowers but those sensitive to scents might. It spread easily across the face and rinses off with no issue. I like how comfortable this mask is. It doesn’t dry up while on and that it doesn’t make my face feel tight. My skin always feels super soft after using and it has helped smooth skin along my cheeks and jaws. I have not see any kind of brightening after using the mask though. There is a slight glow but it’s very subtle. I would recommend this for all skin types except those with sensitive skin.

- Doesn’t irritate my skin or cause me to break out
- Helped smooth of texture along cheeks and jaw
- Skin feels soft after rinsing
- Slightly hydrating
- Doesn’t leave face feeling stripped

The texture is a lightweight jelly that turns watery once applied to skin. There is the scent of watermelon, like the jolly rancher, but I don’t find it to be overpowering but I can see how it might be to those who are sensitive to scents. It glides across the skin easily and absorbs within a few minutes. Once absorbed it leaves a bit of stickiness behind that doesn’t really ever go away when I use. It doesn’t work very well with other products as I have issues with it pilling when I wear my serums and moisturizer underneath. It leaves a thin film on the skin and it takes a tad bit of work to wash off in the morning, especially if you layer it on the skin thick. Once rinsed off my skin does feel softer, hydrated, and more plump, but I have yet to see a dewy glow.
PROS:

- Skin feels soft after use

- Skin appears to be more plump
CONS:
- Leaves a film on the skin and it’s a bit hard to get all off

- Pills. Doesn’t work great with products underneath

As a We Are Eves Beauty Editor and the winner of the title of reviewer of the month September 2021, I was able to choose some of my favorite products from the wishlist I published on We Are Eves and this Pixi Beauty Skintreats Glow Tonic was ranked very high on that list. The published reviews on We Are Eves are not all equally positive, but since I had never tried anything from Pixi (as an Influencer, shame on me! 😉) I decided to take the chance and have this Tonic sent to me after all. And let me tell you, girls and boys, that was my best decision ever! 💚
Petra Strand, the owner of Pixi Beauty (which is also known as Pixi by Petra) is a lady who, through her work as a Make Up Artist, has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty world, but as a mother of 4, often did not have the time to fully focus on her skincare rituals, so in 1999, in London, Pixi Beauty was born, a brand that is all about youth-enhancing and multifunctional products that make you look like yourself, only better!
The tonic arrives in an easy to manage clear plastic bottle with Pixi Beauty’s signature bright green accents, such as the cap and label, printed with gold colored text mentioning the name of the brand and the products, obviously, along with a list of ingredients. The liquid itself has a rich, orange-brown color, but once you sprinkle it on a cotton pad, you actually see little to nothing of the color. The application is easy and smooth, thanks to the small opening at the top of the bottle, ensuring you won’t be using too much. The Glow Tonic contains all natural and crueltyfree ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Ginseng and botanical extracts. It has a pleasant yet strong floral scent that quickly fades. Although the scent is quite strong, it is not overpowering or too heavy and the scent does not irritate me at all. To be fair, I actually love the scent of the Tonic! This Tonic also contains 5% Glycolic Acid to exfoliate and smooth the skin, it’s alcohol and paraben free, not tested on animals (which applies to all Pixi products) and it’s suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. After application, my combination type, sensitive and reactive skin looks radiant, fresh, hydrated and healthy, without causing any irritation. My skin feels hydrated, velvety soft and smooth, without leaving a tight, stinging or greasy feeling. My red spots also seem to be less present. After a full day at work, my face still feels smooth amd soft and that beautiful, radiant glow is still there.
I definitely recommend the Pixi Beauty Skintreats GlowTonic, even to those with sensitive and reactive skin, like myself!
