She was a forgiver, her heart was so large. She didn’t know how to give up on people, because she always believed the good in those she loved. It was until she was walked on so many times, she had no choice but to let go of those who burned holes in her heart.
I just started Daughter of Smoke and Bone and I really like it. I love the fantasy in it. Everything about Brimstone and the chimaera fascinated me. It’s not too fast paced which I appreciate.
I love Karou. She’s so freaking smart and talented. She’s super sweet. She’s not afraid to fight for herself. The way she handled Kaz was amazing. I love her and Zuzanna’s friendship. I really hope it’s not ruined by Brimstone and his favors.
I really like Issa. I want to know more about her and the world of the chimaera’s. I don’t think Karou entering their world is going to end very well though.
I don’t know what I think Karou is because I don’t think she’s an angel and she’s definitely not a chimaera. She’s whatever the heck the white haired guy is.
My only problem so far is the meeting between Akiva and Karou. I kind of HATE the whole, they lock eyes and they’re world is just completely turned upside down and they forget what they’re doing and the kind of person they are and that they’re supposed to hate each other because they’re enemies thing. I do believe in love and at the very least attraction at first sight but still. I can get over it though if their relationship develops well from here. Akiva just kind of weirds me out though.
