My phone does not work the same as peachbun’s and when I was trying find the average time per day I had to pull out my calculator and add minutes together, then translate them to hours and divide for average AND I HATE MATH. Oh, and then I realized that I didn’t subtract my maps time and other allowed apps when we made this challenge. I was NOT going back in to do more math.
So I just used the “timer” function on my phone and it works! And that’s the goal right, to limit screen time? Basically I set a “timer” for 45min per day on each social media app (instagram, facebook, pinterest, tumblr, and snapchat) so that if I’m on it for longer than 45min, it locks out and doesn’t let me go on it until 0000hrs the next day.
I’m proud to say that I haven’t locked out since I started the app and it’s really made me mindful of how much time I spend on each app (it tells you how many minutes you have left).
I’ve decided I’m going to keep this limit on, and potentially bring it down to 30min if I don’t lock myself out for the rest of the month!
Here’s to being more present and not stuck to a screen!

“Don’t call me beautiful. I don’t care. Call me intelligent. Tell me my laugh is contagious; that I made you smile. Tell me I have something to offer. That’s what’s worthy to me.” - Katharine
I rarely post photos of myself nor take selfies but if I must, I’d like to keep it in my gallery instead.
Well, I am not used to people calling me beautiful, pretty or lovely. I don’t know. Some would say I downplay myself too much or maybe I am way too insecure. I still don’t know. Everytime I look myself in the mirror, I see a plain jane, nothing special. I also don’t need validations because like every girl, I just look normal or average as it seems. Maganda ako sa paraang alam ko.
They would tell me, why a lady like me is alone? Kailangan ba pag maganda ka eh may someone ka or magaganda lang ba talaga ang may karapatan magkaroon ng relationship? We are living in a very modern world where beauty is still defined.
Yes, I grew my hair, lost weight and toned up a bit, smile wider, put on tint, accesorize myself and dress nicely than ever.. people started to notice. Gaddd. Did they think less of me when I had shorter hair, full cheeks and just worn shirt/pants? People have their level or degree of what they called standard beauty. You have to be sexy. Your skin have to be fairer. You should follow the newest fashion trend blah blah blah to fit in. But when you’re all messy and dry.. wala na, people will just passed by you on streets. Unnoticed. Mediocre. Back to basic ka na lang ulit sa paningin nila.
Thank you for those who acknowledged me and making me believe that I am really beautiful. Yes, it’s flattering but please no more compliments. Hindi naman ako nag-ayos para sainyo. I do it for myself.
