So, today I replayed Sonic Before the Sequel from start to good ending for the first time in years, and when I reached Cloudy Crowd Act 1 (one of the last few zones) I noticed the music sounded awfully familiar...
(Listen to the entire loop)
At first I thought the remastered version of BTS I was playing pulled a little joke on me and put the 30th anniversary symphony version of Believe in Myself... but nope, the 2012 OST had that very same song.
Knowing the composers of the fangame, there was only one thing left to check:
2-13 Flying High - For Cloudy Crowd Act 1 | Track credits: Arranged by Falk ft. Believe in Myself (Sonic Adventure), Believe in Myself (Sonic Adventure 2)
Believe in Myself ~ It Doesn’t Matter | Composer: Jun Senoue; Arranger: Shota Nakama, Falk Au Yeong.
Falk came full-loop, arranging the same song a decade later. The man did it, he went from fangame to 30th Anniversary Symphony.
My mind is absolutely blown away.
