It wasn’t often he encountered a Xeno that didn’t immediately recognize what he was and where he came from and tried to immediately kill him. Though he was still stuck with that idea that all Xenos must be terminated with extreme prejudice, the Abhuman resisted the thought. After all, he wasn’t apart of the Imperial Guard, anyhow. They abandoned him, long, long ago. “I guess y’ could say that. ‘S th’ first time I’ve ever really... Ventured outside a’ th’ Milky Way galaxy an’... Well, le’s jus’ say that I didn’t exactly intend t’ do so. Damn Rift Storms- Any ways, y’ guys seem t’ be about th’ only kinda help nearby that can repair this hunk’a junk-” He pats the side of his ship. It was about the size of, say, a few Arwings. “I see...!” The elder mechanic was already wise to what his son was trying to pull on him. Nevertheless, he still genuinely appreciated the pleasant distraction from such ugly emotions he previously harbored. Glass received, Beltino took a sip and pondered on the questions that followed.
“Well enough, I suppose... not a lot I can discuss in this... atmosphere--trade secrets, you can call ‘em. But, it’s kept me busy enough.” He felt himself unwind as he spoke, even with a quick glance around for eavesdroppers. “How about you? These new friends of yours.... they’re not workin’ you too hard, are they?”
A light growl escapes the engineer with a deepening scowl to match as all concentration on the game before him is nearly lost. Gloved hands then squeezed the life from themselves against the pool stick they held on to as he continued to listen...
