16.10.2020 // so idk how this aesthetic stuyblr posting is supposed to go or what ppl usually write here
and wheter abbreviations are appropriate or not but here i go i guess. so hey all, i just started a studyblr in hopes of getting me motivated to do my work at uni. unfortunately i don’t have an aesthetically pleasing study corner nor neat handwriting. what i have, on the other hand, is minimal photoshop skills so here is my attempt at making some of my pics look aesthetic enough. anyway, midterms are around the corner so i spent the day reading and taking notes from a book for an assignment that’s due next week then rewarded myself with some coffee and chocolate
Days 39 & 40 of the Spell-Studies Fall 2020 Challenge 🍂🍂🍂
How are you? I’ve just came back from the first meeting with my internership supervisor and I’m really excited!
What do your supplies looks like!
They are pretty basic, I’d say. I generally use just pencil and pastel to sublines books and highlighters for notes or really important point.
How do you reward yourself?
A coffee is always a good reward, but I also give myself some time to do things I enjoy.
Hope everyone is safe!
Otro post viejito uwu
Day 15 of the Studyblr Community Challenge
🍂Tag someone you look up to
@eintsein - When I first joined studyblr, Josephene’s blog was one of the first I followed. I love her graphics and tips and her general aesthetic is just *chef’s kiss*. I had a period of time where I would just scroll through her old posts and she is one of my biggest inspirations!
15.10.2020 || my brush pens arrived and I’m sad to report they bleed right through my bullet journal’s pages :’( does anyone have tips on what to do about this?
Day 9 - What is the worst thing about studyblr in your opinion?
I’d say the worst thing about studyblr is how easy it is to judge yourself harshly based on other blogs. While I do find inspiration in a lot of their posts, I tend to overly judge my notes and handwriting because of the aesthetics on here, which lead to me not wanting to share my posts at all :(
Day 10 - What is one thing you wished you could change about studyblr?
I think perhaps it would be nice to see more of a diverse studyblr, with POC but also with people with different ambitions in life! For example, people who are studying to be animators, writers, musicians, or just different things than what I tend to see here if that makes sense? Not to judge!! It’s just that most of my dreams in life are more artistic and “eccentric” than most on studyblr, so it would be nice to meet more likeminded people :)
Day 11 - What is something that you have learnt from studyblr?
I’ve learned a lot about note taking and studying, which I really appreciate since I was initially awful at both! ^^;
Day 12 - How much time do you spend on studyblr per day on average?
It really depends! Some days I’m here alllllll day long, and some I don’t get on at all. Ironically, I tend to spend a lot of time here when I should be studying hahaha! ^^;
day 14: what are some of your study essentials?
-laptop & decent wifi (easier said than done)
- muji fineliner 0.5mm, black
- note paper (preferably blank)
- whiteboard and whiteboard pens (for thinking/scrap/lists)
Day 14 of the Studyblr Community Challenge
🍂What are some of your study essentials?
Ooooh, one of my favorite questions. I would say my main thing is my computer as everything is online now but in terms of favorites, here’s a short list (keep in mind, my username is literally stationarystudy)
Mildliners - Now, I know you probably see these a lot around here but to be honest, they are some of my favorite markers. I love the colors (PASTELS) and since they can double as a highlighter, they’re a really great way of making notes colorful and highlighting key points
A standard 02 black pen - I’m not super picky when it comes to brands like muji, etc. I just want a decent, fine-tipped black pen that won’t leak through the page and will get me through the day
A ruler - Super important! I use this for my notes daily to break things into sections and make them pretty
Notion - I just started using Notion and I’ve gotta give it a great review. I use the board feature to create a list of what I have to do, what’s in progress, and what I’ve done. Really great once you figure out how to use it
Music - Impossible to go without. I hate the “silence” of just background noises and it’s really hard for me to concentrate. I don’t have a set playlist right now, I’m kind of just alternating and trying to find music that works for me. I don’t really like classical but we’ll see. Currently surfing through playlists titled “studying in the library”. Any reccomendations???
These are just things that I use on a daily basis right now and I’m sure it will change in the future! Remember, you don’t have to use what everyone is using, just use what works best for you!
October 14th- Studyblr Challenge Day 14
I’m not too picky when it comes to studying, but I do have certain essentials.
* A black gel pen. I always need one of these handy for writing of course! I’m not a huge pencil person any more, if I can help it. So this is a major essential!
* A mildliner. I love taking as many mildliners as I can carry, but as long as I have one I’m happy! I use this for Flashcards and notes.
* A binder or note book. Typically, I like to take notes on anything I might need later on! I’m not too picky about the kind of paper, although I do like graph paper!
* Flashcards. I find these super helpful for almost all of my classes! I like to take notes, and then go back through and make Flashcards out of important things or vocabulary!
* A cup of tea. Okay maybe this one is a stretch for an essential! But I find it makes studying so much more enjoyable :)
