we can call it love
they asked me why I stayed I said, "I love you."
they told me you were my absolute destruction, the wound and blows you gave me just added to the endless cruelty, and boundless heartache.
but I say, "we can call it love; I will call it love. a love like human kind has for the withering earth: continuously destructive but shamefully needing.
humans love ruin and get heartsick to see that they have made castles instead of sanctuaries.
I choose to be ruined for the right reasons and for the same price: to be loved to destruction."
