It might not be the most aesthetic study space out there in the studyblr community, but long before I had even planned on making an active studyblr, I had decided that I would never be negatively influenced by the studyblr community by being more focused on the aesthetics of the study space, notes, and the pictures taken than why I am making this blog- to be my best, productive self.
My aesthetic study space will only go as far as always keeping me motivated to study on my desk rather than on my bed, and my aesthetic notes for making it easier and motivating me to read those notes.
P. S. Clearly I love reusing my cracked coffee mugs as substitute pen stands and honestly? They are way cuter lol.
REAL TIME study with me (no music): 50 mins of chaotic Pomodoro session
I am so excited because I made a youtube video that could actually help people! I know it’s not the most exciting, but I find that “study with me” videos help me concentrate so much. I hope this video helps. I really want to do live streams eventually, but I need more subs in order for youtube to allow live streaming from my phone. I currently have 1 sub, so I kindly ask that if you find this video helpful or if you just feel like giving me a sub that I would really appreciate it. I really want to live stream, but that takes 1,000 subs… Anyway, just give it a watch if you want someone to study with!
Soo I woke up at 7 am and started on with planning my day and also now I have decided to have social media free mornings that’s why I will not be able to post in the morning.😊 But it is a very good thing
I started my week with new goals, I’ve decided to wake up earlier. 6am… I thought it would be dreadful because of the dark mornings however, working / reading by candlelight is now my favourite thing ever. I have online classes all week, a lot of catching up to do with projects and a LOT of filming to get done but so far these 6am starts have made me way more productive!
so today i didn’t really do much work because i had errands to run. but i managed to make a start on finding things to read in reference to my us lit assignment.
i’m definitely thinking it would be good to dedicate a proportion of it, looking at the contextual socio-historical aspects at play. i mean, it goes without saying but still !
idk, i feel like i haven’t read a book for pleasure in so long. i’ve just been reading work for uni & i’m worried that maybe i might not longer have the same joy through reading anymore. so i’m definitely going to try to make more of a conscious effort to read for pleasure :)
i got my first assignment back for one of my modules today. i was 2% off a 1st which annoyed me a little but still i should take it as a win.
in my feedback, my tutor basically said he didn’t like my writing style because it was too “impressionistic” (e.g. i said ‘illustrative elements’ instead of illustrations). tbh i see where he was coming from in the sense that i guess he wanted a more “straight to the point” form, but i enjoy writing more freely (& it brought the word count up).
in terms of improvement, i think for my final assignment for that particular module, i should definitely try to make drafts of my writing to fine-tune the style & make sure i don’t waffle.
that’s it for today - gotta grind hard tmr !! :) x
work for today: Props 1-4 of Euclid Book 7, and studying ancient greek participles :)
