i’m so sorry this took me so long!! i’ll try and get more chapters out this weekend but no promises 🤦♀️
if sangyeon was excited and jaehyun was calm, juyeon was neither. he saw the ring on your finger, and immediately his mood darkened. his little sister.. getting married?? and he wasn’t consulted?? how very dare kim sunwoo! of course deep down he was happy for you, and the man(wolf?) you loved. but someone had to fill the role of protective older brother! if sangyeon and jaehyun weren’t going to do so then juyeon would!
you had known that juyeon would probably react sort of badly, so instead of putting your fiancé in danger you went by yourself. sitting in the living room of juyeon’s cabin, you had tried to break the news to him gently! but he saw your ring first and was just about ready to fight sunwoo. which in your opinion would end very badly for both boys (both of which you loved very much).
calming juyeon down was a chore you were not prepared for. he went on and on about how in his opinion sunwoo wasn’t fit for you, and that he wasn’t sure how that would even work?? you had tried to cut in and explain everything to juyeon but he just wouldn’t let you. when he had finally gone over everything he found wrong with the situation four time, he let you talk.
you explained that you had read a lot of books about this topic. if a wolf’s mate, especially if that mate was a human, left them and fell in love with someone else the wolf would die. if the wolf’s mate died the wolf would die. and there was no chance that sunwoo would ever put you in danger because he loved you too much. he took every precaution when it came to your safety, not for himself but because he couldn’t stand seeing you hurt or in pain. if you found that you no longer loved him (which you highly doubted would ever happen) he would let you go. sunwoo was nothing if not a gentleman. and yes you had researched if a human and a wolf could have a baby, there weren’t many books on the topic but you had come to the conclusion that it may be possible.
having answers to all of his concerns, juyeon calmed down a little bit. he couldn’t stop it, he could see in your eyes you had made up your mind that the wedding was happening. instead he sighed and pulled you into a hug; “i’m sorry, i just worry about you, you know? you’re my little sister and things haven’t always been easy for you. you finally found something that makes you happy and i’m trying to take that away from you. that’s not very fair of me. i’ll be more supportive i swear.” he whispered into your hair, you smiled at him. “you’ll always be my favourite juyeon don’t worry!” he giggled a little bit.

authors note; hi pumpkins! we have our first request today! i think this one is very cute and i can’t wait to start it! thank you, pumpkin for requesting this!
he would smile so much. he found out when you asked him to go swimming with you. you had totally forgot about your tattoos. once he seen them, he immediately walked over to you and started to touch them. he thought they looked so cute on you. he told you so many times that he loved them on you and even told you to get more. he was a sucker for them. watching you swim all day he realized how sexy you looked with them even though they were just small cute ones.
he would playfully pout when he found out about your tattoos. he would’ve liked to know about them sooner but you were a little hesitant at first. once you showed him your tattoos, he gasped. he couldn’t get over how cute they looked on you. he loved the smaller and more bigger ones you had on your body. he would compliment you so much, just telling you how much he loves them and how pretty you look.
he saw them way before you ended up showing him. he found out about them a while ago and couldn’t stop smiling and thinking about them. he liked tattoos even though he didn’t have any himself he thought they were cute. he ended up telling you that he knew about them and he wanted to see them up close. he turned into a smiling mess once you showed him and even asked if you guys could get matching ones in the future.
seeing them made him gasp. he wasn’t expecting to see small but such cute tattoos on your skin. he liked to touch over them with his fingers and asked if it felt good. just being a tease. he would take lots of pictures of them and tell you that he can’t believe his baby had such cute tattoos and didn’t tell him. he felt left out so he ended up getting a similar one to you and showed you once it was done. he was very excited about it.
he would smirk. seeing the tattoos and you not knowing he seen them. he walked over to you and wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you closer to him. that’s when he finally asked when did you get all the tattoos that you had. you were shocked because you weren’t planning on telling him yet but smiled and told him anyway. you then showed him and he was in awe. he loved them so much and wanted to get some with you. to share that experience.
he had such a attitude. he was just teasing but he acted upset that you didn’t tell him. he kept asking questions about them. did it hurt? how many more did you want? were you satisfied with them? you would always answer them but he loved the tattoos on you. he loved how different you were. that’s what made him fall more in love with you. he’s another one that would want matching tattoos with you.
he was shocked. in a good way. he saw a really cute one you have on your arm and fell in love with it. he loved to run over it and tell you how pretty it was and how cute you looked. he kept asking about getting a tattoo on his ankle and if you would do the same just to match with him. he thought I’d be cute to do that as a couple.
he thought it was so cool. he would constantly walk around calling you cool and that you were so brave to get many tattoos like that. he would tell people you were his brave baby. it sounded so cute to him and he liked it a lot. he would go with you to your next tattoo appointments and watch you get them done and hold your hand as you did. just in awe. you were so adorable to him and now- very cool.
he would ask if they hurt you badly and pouted. after a while he would smile and place soft kisses over them. telling you how much he likes them and how good they look on you. they made you look badass he said. something he liked a lot. he liked that his baby looked badass and seemed so cool with them even if they were cute tattoos that made you look adorable as well.
he pouted. “why didn’t you tell me” he would whine. he wanted tattoos in the future and knew now he could go with you and get them done together. he asked many questions. taking pictures with you and wanting the tattoos to be shown. he would smile looking at his phone at the cute tattoos you had and just blushed. he couldn’t get over it.
he would be obsessed. very obsessed with your tattoos. he couldn’t get over it. he thought they were so adorable. especially the smaller ones you had that just made you pop out and look pretty. he would always touch them and place soft kisses on them with a smile on his face.
Kingdom was giving them one hell of a beating and The Boyz knew it. They worked harder than they ever have before. Harder than they worked for their debut. Harder than they worked for their comeback. Harder than they worked for Road to Kingdom and yet their hardest was still never enough. Not in the eyes of the judges at least. Sunwoo had enough of it. He had enough of sleeping 30 minutes every day. He had enough of not eating. He had enough of dancing until he couldn’t feel legs. He could tell his members had enough too but they were soldiering on for the fans. They all were. The one thing that always managed to slip Sunwoo’s mind was the fact that it wasn’t just them that were struggling. Their entire company was. Every one from the managers to the stylists to the backup dancers. He was reminded of that when he walked out of the practice room and heard the vague sounds of someone throwing up. Looking around curiously, he followed the sound until he found himself standing in front of the girls’ restroom. Sunwoo almost stepped inside but his foot hovered over the entrance. He couldn’t go in there. He looked back and forth down the halls, hoping a girl would appear but the hallways were empty. Not having the heart to leave whoever was in there alone, he called out.
“Um....hey, are you okay?” The gagging sound momentarily stopped. Sunwoo couldn’t see inside the restroom but he heard the faint sound of water running and the ripping of paper towels. A minute later, Y/N walked out and Sunwoo sucked in a breath. She looked how he felt. Utterly dead. Her hair was tucked under her hat but her eyes’ were bloodshot, the dark circles under them exaggerated. Her face was pale, more than usual and her hands were slightly shivering. “Y/N?” he asked surprisingly. Her eyes widened in surprise as she stood at the entrance of the restroom. “Were you throwing up?” he asked in a soft voice and raised an eyebrow in surprise when she vigorously shook her head.
“No,” she said, her voice raspy. She tried to push past him but Sunwoo stood his ground. He was seriously worried for her. She looked like she was moments from passing out and he told her exactly that. “I’m fine Sunwoo, I promise,” she said softly, offering him a soft smile. Sunwoo didn’t buy it but he let her go regardless. He would just keep an eye on her he told himself before following her back to the practice room. His eyes stayed on her and creased together in worry as he watched her wobble her way back to the other dancers.
“Hey, where have you been?” Changmin asked, walking up to him. Sunwoo kept his eyes on Y/N, barely registering what Changmin said. Y/N kept wincing as she walked to her position, the dancers practicing their bits for the upcoming Monster (Stormborn) performance. “You really like her, huh?” Changmin stated quietly which caused Sunwoo to whip his head towards him, his eyebrows raised.
“What?” Sunwoo asked incredulously, slightly shaking his head. Changmin rolled his eyes, snorting.
“Bro, it’s so obvious.”
“I don’t like her Ji Changmin,” he muttered stubbornly. “Something’s wrong with her. She’s either sick or in pain. I just caught her throwing up.” At that moment, Y/N gaze flickered over to Sunwoo and on instinct, Sunwoo dropped his gaze towards his shoes, embarrassed to be caught staring at her. Before Changmin could say anything, their choreographer’s voice boomed throughout the practice room, causing him to follow the sound.
“From the top,” his voice came out grabled through the microphone and Sunwoo begrudgingly made his way to his starting position, not missing the slight hiss of pain Y/N emitted as she walked by him to her starting position. Involuntarily, his hand shot out and grabbed her arm, causing the two of them to stop. Sunwoo could see her physically wince at where he grabbed her and immediately he dropped his grasp on her, afraid to hurt her even more. Y/N looked down at his grasp in surprise, a curious expression on her face.
“What’re you doing?” she whispered, looking around nervously. The other dancers had lined up at their starting positions and they all looked at her with expectancy.
“You’re not fine,” he whispered back, waving off Eric as he called out to him. “You’re clearly in pain, and you’re probably sick. Take the rest of the day off and go home, I’ll cover for you.” Sunwoo barely got through what he was saying before Y/N started to shake her head.
“I can’t go home, Sunwoo,” she replied, an indecipherably look in her eyes.
“Why the bloody hell not?” he said, his voice significantly louder than it was before. The room fell silent as all eyes turned towards them.
“Is there a problem?” the choreographer called out. The two of them answered simultaneously.
“Yes.” The choreographer looked at the two of them curiously. Before Sunwoo could protest at Y/N's attendance, she spoke up.
"I'm fine, nothing to worry about." The choreographer nodded before turning to Sunwoo and pushing him towards his position.
"From the top!" They spent the next 5 hours rehearsing and re-rehearshing and with each passing hour, Sunwoo could see Y/N get worse. By the time they finished, she was practically dragging her body out the door. Sunwoo wanted to say something but she was gone before he could, leaving his mind to wonder at what she had said earlier. Why couldnt she go home?
Sunwoo knew he desperately needed sleep. The performance was tomorrow and Sunwoo’s body was minutes away from shutting down. But after an hour of tossing and turning in his bed, Sunwoo let out a frustrated groan before throwing the covers over his body, grabbing his jacket and leaving the dorm. His studio was a five minute walk from the dorm and he forced his body to move. If he couldn’t sleep, he could at least practice. He sighed when he opened his studio. He really needed to clean up. Empty candy wrappers laid on the floor, the covers on his makeshift bed practiaclly on the floor, empty takeout containers spanning across his desk. It took him an hour, but he got his studio cleaned and just as he was about to sit down, his phone rang. He looked at the caller screen and was surprised when Y/N’s name flashed on the screen.
“Y/N?” he asked, answering the call. He looked over at the clock. “It’s 2 in the morning.”
“I’m aware,” she replied, her throat still raspy. “Um.... are you busy?”
“I was about to practice my verses,” he said softly and listened as she inhaled sharply.
“Of course, I’m stupid. I’m sorry for calling.”
“No!” he exclaimed. “What’s up Y/N?” There was a pause and for a split second Sunwoo thought Y/N had ended the call.
“Can we meet?”
20 minutes later, Sunwoo opened his studio door to reveal Y/N standing there in ripped jeans, an oversized black hoodie, a black hat and a tear stained face. He pulled her into his studio, his worry for her tripled.
“Jesus,” he stated quietly. “What happened?” Y/N plopped down on his makeshift bed and fidgeted with her rings, staying quiet. Sunwoo took a seat on his chair and noticed how her hands were shaking. Plucking up the courage, he slowly reached out and placed her hands in his, shocked out how cold they were. “Y/N, you’re freezing.” Y/N pulled her hands out of his and placed them back in her lap.
“I’m fine, Sunwoo,” she muttered. Sunwoo rolled his eyes, a bit annoyed that Y/N kept brushing him off but his annoyance flew out the window when Y/N jumped up and rushed over to his trash can and poured her guts out. She heaved and heaved and Sunwoo raced over and rubbed her back soothingly. She slumped over the trash can, taking deep breaths.
“I swear to god, if you say you’re fine one more time Y/N, I might actually scream.” Despite the situation, Y/N had the audacity to laugh. She pulled back and slumped against the wall, popping a piece of gum in her mouth. The two of them sat in silent before Y/N spoke up.
“It’s food poisoning.”
“What did you eat?”
“A sandwich,” she replied and Sunwoo did his best to hid in a snort.
“You got food poisoning.... from a sandwich....” he questioned cautiously. Y/N laughed, her laugh quiet and airy.
“I’m aware how silly that sounds, no need to remind me.” The silence returned and Sunwoo would have let the silence continue but something was bothering him and the words came tumbling out of his mouth before he had the chance to stop it.
“Can I ask you something?” He said, pausing and waiting for her to respond. When she nodded, he kept talking. “During practice, you said that you couldn’t go home and you had this look in your eyes. Can I ask why?” Sunwoo heard her sigh and he was afraid he had pushed too hard. He relaxed a bit when she started to talk.
"Do you remember that one girl with bright pink hair that was here a few weeks ago?" She stated softly, her eyes flickering back and forth as she waited for some sort of recognition to set in Sunwoo's eyes. He tilted his head, deep in thought, trying to remember. His eyes widened when he did, the memory of her resurfacing. That girl had made Sunwoo uncomfortable and I’m pretty sure she made all of the members uncomfortable. She was one of the back-up dancers that Creker hired and she was difficult to manage, to say the least. Everyone was glad when she was fired. “She’s my roommate,” Y/N said, which caused Sunwoo to look at her with wide eyes.
“That...nutjob was your roommate?” he asked and Y/N softly wacked him in his arm.
“Hey!” she exclaimed, a smile on her face. “She might have been crazy, but she’s still my roommate.” Y/N paused, the smile slipping from her face. “You remember what she was like, right?” she questioned, looking at Sunwoo curiously. Sunwoo nodded, slightly shaking his head. Y/N’s roommate did anything and everything to make sure was always on camera, even if it meant invading one of the member’s solo part. He remember how she had tumbled into Changmin during his solo in one of the special Reveal stages. “So, she didn’t really take well to the fact that she was fired, especially since Kingdom was coming up. And she definitely did not like the fact that I was still working for y’all. I don’t know if she blames me or she doesn’t know to get her anger out but I guess she kind of ended up spiraling. And the more she saw me practicing, I guess the worse it got. Two days ago, something changed. Like she was way too chirpy and happy and I was so confused about it but I didn’t question it because honestly, I couldn’t deal with her bitchy attitude anymore. She woke up one day and decided to make me a sandwich.” Y/N paused when Sunwoo gasped, the realization sinking in.
“She didn’t,” he said, the surprise evident in his voice. Y/N let out a dry laugh, nodding.
“Oh, but she did, Sunwoo.”
“That...is a whole new level of messed up.”
“Tell me about it,” Y/N replied, twisting the ring on her middle finger.
“So that’s why you can’t go home?” Sunwoo questioned, his voice soft. Y/N nodded, meeting his gaze.
“It’s not that I can’t go home. It’s more that I don’t want to. Who knows that else she might try.” Before Sunwoo could say anything, Y/N turned back around and threw up once more in the trash can. Like before, Sunwoo held her hair back and rubbed her back soothingly as she gagged when the bile reached her throat. She slumped against the wall once again, her breathing fast.
“Y/N, just please take tomorrow off. You can barely move without throwing up, how are you going to perform tomorrow?” Sunwoo questioned, the worry evident in his face and his voice. Y/N softly shook her head, clearly not heeding any of his worries.
“You guys of all people should understand,” Y/N said quietly, looking down at her shoes. “Dancing is my entire life, Sunwoo. I wouldn’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t dance. I’m not even sure I good at anything else if I don’t have dance. What would you do if you couldn’t rap anymore? Or dance? Or perform?” she suddenly asked him, looking up, her eyes searching his. Sunwoo didn’t bat an eye with his response.
“I wouldn’t be able to live.”
“Exactly, it’s the same for me. I may not be an idol. I may not be able to do all the things you guys do, but dance is my air and if you take it away, then what’s the point.”
“I’m not saying you have to quit dancing Y/N,” Sunwoo countered. “Your health comes first and you obviously are not in the best shape to dance, especially tomorrow’s choreography.” Y/N scoffed, raising an eyebrow and slightly leaning forward.
“Let me ask you something. If I did listen you and took tomorrow off, who would fill my place? Where are you or Creker for that matter going to find a replacement on such short notice. It’s going to look incomplete if I’m not there Sunwoo. There’s going to be a big hole in the formation and that’s just too obvious to coverup and you guys have worked way too hard for this to be screwed up on my account. I’m not going to let that happen.” Sunwoo stayed quiet for a moment. As much as he hated to admit it, Y/N was right. And he hated the fact that he couldn’t convince her otherwise. Sunwoo sighed, running a hand through his hair.
“Fine,” he said in a defeated tone. “But the minute you don’t feel good or feel worse, you let me know. I mean it Y/N. This show means nothing if we come out worse from it.” Y/N smiled, nodding along. She knew she wouldn’t do that, but she was touched that Sunwoo cared so much. She didn’t know why he did, but she wasn’t questioning it. "Do you think we can win?" He asked, curious to know what her answer is. Y/N smirked, popping another piece of gum into her mouth.
"Let me tell you something. To hell with this show. To hell with mnet. The only thing that matters is what you're fans think, and Sunwoo they're just grateful for all the performances you guys are giving them. They can see the hardwork, the blood sweat and tears you guys shed. So who cares if you guys win or not. You guys are already winners. You guys set the bar and no one can take that away, so just have fun. Like, you pop out of golden snake, for christ sake! Just have fun with it." Sunwoo smiled at her, a soft knowing smile that reached his eyes. That's all he needed to hear. That's all he ever wanted to hear. The two of them, sat in his studio and talked fke the rest of the night. It might have been a bad idea, but come performance time, Sunwoo was ready. Y/N's words rang in his mind. He was here to have fun. And to deliver one hell of a performance for the fans. And that's exactly what they were going to do.
