7so last night i had a dream
i’m in a completely white room with a pool in the center. i’m waist deep in this murky, kinda foamy water, looking down at a woman who is completely devoid of color on her face. it’s apparent that she’s newly deceased. i look down, in my arms, and immediately panic when i see an infant. its eyes are red and swollen, and it’s breathing shallow breaths. i try to hold it in a way that isn’t a potential injury concern, but i have no idea what to do. i don’t know the first thing about infants. should i hold its body vertically? hold its head up? my panic mounts, when suddenly my attention is drawn to a nurse sitting on a folding stool outside of the pool. i can only see below her neck.
she asks “do you not like him?”
i nervously respond, “i don’t like having to worry about someone other than myself”
there’s a pause
it’s no longer a nurse sitting in front of me, now. it’s a small, imp-like being, emaciated and deformed. it’s eyes are enormous, and its teeth are equally large, completely inappropriate proportions for how small this thing’s skull is.
it grabs the infant by the skin of its head, and its soft bone structure caves in from the force of the imp’s grip, before the being warps its mouth into an obscene shape and surrounds the infant’s head with its teeth, crunching down
…i woke up feeling like i overdosed on stimulants again lmao
