  • Peter - Hufflepuff

    Lucy - Gryffindor

    Susan - Slytherin

    Edmund - Ravenclaw

I think that each sibling has two houses that they could fit into. Lucy and Peter could be Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. Susan and Edmund could be Slytherin or Ravenclaw. But these are the house I think suits them more.

Eliza was sitting in her chambers with her handmaiden Priscilla, gossiping quietly about things that were happening around the castle.

“Are you serious? That actually happened,” Eliza questioned her friend.

“Oh it happened alright. I heard it from one of the kitchen staff. You cannot tell anyone this. I was sworn to secrecy. Promise me you won’t tell anyone,” Priscilla replied.

    “Okay, I promise.”

“Eliza, you know what that means right?”

    “You can’t tell your husband.”

    “Why not?”

“I was sworn to secrecy! Taking it to the grave kind of secrecy, now what the hell makes you think you’re getting out of that?!”

    “Priscilla, I tell Caspian everything-”

    “Not this time. No.”

Eliza rolled her eyes at her friend, “give me a logical reason not to tell Caspian.”

“It’s Caspian! He’s going to want to do something about it!”

“Oh, yeah you’re right…” Eliza replied letting her friend’s words sink in.

    “Yeah, I know!”

“Know what exactly,” Caspian questioned as he entered the room.

Both girls froze for a moment and Priscilla glanced at the king’s appearance.

“Just that your fly has been open all afternoon,” she replied smoothly.

Eliza bursts into a fit of giggles, and the two girls high five. Caspian just rolls his eyes at his wife and her friend. Priscilla smiled brightly at him before she slid off the bed and made her way out the door.

“What am I going to do with the two of you,” Caspian wondered.

Eliza chuckled and made her way to her husband. She stood up on her toes and placed a gentle kiss to his mouth. Caspian returned the kiss and then smiled down at her.

“How was your meeting my love,” she inquired as Caspina pulled her into a hug.

“It went well. We should be able to set out on our journey within the week.”

“You know I’m coming with you right?”

Caspian pulled away from his wife’s embrace and looked down at her, “sapphire, we need you here to run the kingdom.”

“The council can handle running the kingdom for a few weeks while we’re gone.”

    “It could be dangerous.”

Eliza gave him a pointed look, “Caspian, I’ve fought in several wars, one of them being the war to reclaim your crown. I think I can handle a little danger.”

“There’s no way I’m going to change your mind is there?”

    “Not at all.”

Caspian sighed, “well, then it looks like you and I are going on a journey.”

Three days later, Caspian and Eliza were boarding the Dawn Treader. Priscilla stood at the end of the dock and smiled at her friend.

“Be careful won’t you? Narnia needs its queen, and so does his majesty,” she spoke.

“I will. I’ll tell you everything when I get back. You’ll be the first to know,” Eliza answered.

Priscilla smiled and pulled the queen into a hug, “I better be. Be safe Eliza.”

“I will. We’ll be back soon. Don’t get into too much trouble while I’m gone.”

“How can I when my partner in crime is off sailing the seas?”

The two girls giggled as they pulled away from their embrace. Eliza slowly dropped her arms and stepped back with a smile.

“I’ll be back soon, with more stories than you’ll know what to do with.”

“I’ll be waiting to hear them. Safe travels!”

Eliza waved one last time as she boarded the ship. Caspian stood at the railing and watched his wife with a teasing smile.

“I swear the two of you took more time saying goodbye than this voyage will,” he spoke.

Eliza rolled her eyes and playfully shoved him. Caspian chuckled and wrapped his arm around her waist. He guided her towards the captain’s cabin, where Lord Drinian was waiting for them. The captain greeted them and they began to map out their journey.

Later that night, Eliza was sitting on the bench by the window of her and Caspian’s shared quarters with a leather bound journal in her lap, and a quill in her hand. Her hand moved silently as she filled the page with her delicate handwriting.

Across the room, Caspian stirred awake; immediately taking notice of the absence of his queen from their bed. “Eliza,” he called out, his voice thick with sleep.

“Right here, my love,” she answered, looking up to see him. Caspian propped himself up on his elbow and turned to look in the direction of her voice. He found her sitting by the window, the moonlight making her blue eyes glow in the dark.

    “What are you doing up?”

    “Couldn’t sleep,” she replied.

    “Come here my love.”

Eliza stood up and placed her journal down on a table. She sealed the top of her inkwell and placed it on the corner of the book to keep it from closing and smudging the wet ink on the page. She made her way across the cabin and climbed into bed beside her husband. Caspian opened his arms and Eliza snuggled into his side, resting her head on his chest.

“Writing another letter,” he asked, absentmindedly playing her braided hair.

    Eliza nodded, “I miss them.”

“I know you do. And I’m sure they miss you just the same.”

    “I’m scared Caspian…”

    “Of what, my love?”

“When we left the first time, thirteen hundred years passed, when for us it was only a year… what if by the time they come back… we’re already gone?”

“Shh, Aslan knows what he’s doing. But for now, let’s not worry. You need to sleep,” he answered and kissed her hair.

Eliza nodded and snuggled closer to him, wrapping her arm around his stomach. Eventually the gentle rock of the ship and the warmth Caspian provided lulled the girl into a dreamless sleep.

The Chronicles of Narnia - A Susan Pevensie story, angst.

    tw: blood

    word count: 681 words

    A/N: I’m emo today, folks!

Summary: In which Susan doesn’t know if England exists, or if it was all a fantasy when they used to play make-believe.

There are roses outside of my window, their petals fluttering in the breeze as though they are the soft skirts of dancers - full of life and dancing through my memories like a phantom.

I watch them as though I don’t know what they are, but they whisper to me with the sweet voice of someone who exists still, but not in this Narnia.

And for a moment I close my eyes.

  • To the End of the World: Prologue

Eliza Pevensie stood beside her brothers and sisters as Caspian gave his speech.

“Narnia belongs to the Narnians, just as it does to man. Any telmarine who wants to stay and live in peace is welcome to, but for any of you who wish, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers.”

“It’s been generations since we left Telmar,” a man spoke at the front of the crowd.

“We’re not referring to Telmar. Your ancestors were seafaring brigands. Pirates run aground on an island. There they found a cave, a rare chasm that brought them here from their world. The same world as our kings and queens. It is to that island I can return you. It is a good place for any who wish to make a new start,” Aslan explained.

The crowd murmured quietly until one man spoke up.

“I will go,” we all looked up to see the general, “I will accept the offer.

Caspian watched him and bowed the tiniest bit, and the general did the same. He stepped forward to the front of the crowd and stood before Caspian and Aslan.

“So will we,” Caspian’s aunt spoke up, gently bouncing her son in her arms.

“Because you have spoken first. Your future in that world shall be good,” Aslan spoke and then let out a deep exhale. We all watched as the tree he and Caspian stood under began to untwist itself, allowing a portal to form. Slowly the four volunteers walked up to the tree, when they stepped through it they disappeared, which made everyone gasp. Questions rang out from the crowd and one man asked, “how do we know he is not leading us to our deaths?”

“Sire, if my example can be of any service, I will take eleven mice through with no delay,” Reepicheep spoke up.

Peter Pevensie glanced at his brother and sisters then back to Aslan, “we’ll go.”

    “We will,” Edmond questioned.

“Come on, our time’s up,” Peter replied looking to Susan. He then turned and walked up to Caspian, “after all… we’re not really needed here anymore.” Peter took his sword off his belt and held it out for Caspian to take, the new king took the sword in his hand.

“I will look after it until you return,” he promised.

“I’m afraid that’s just it. We’re not coming back,” Susan explained.

    “We’re not,” Lucy questioned softly.

“You two are. At least, I think he means you two,” Peter replied.

“But why? Did they do something wrong?”

“Quite the opposite, dear one. But all things have their time. Your brother and sister have learned what they can from this world. Now it’s time for them to live in their own,” Aslan clarified.

“It’s alright, Lu. It’s not how I thought it would be but it’s alright. One day you’ll see too,” Peter comforted her.

“Wait, you said the two of us are coming back, and Peter and Susan aren’t… what about Eliza,” Edmund questioned.

“That’s the thing… I won’t be joining you back in England,” Eliza answered her younger brother.

“What,” her four siblings all questioned. They all stared wide eyed at their sister, shock clearly displayed on their faces.

“My journey continues here,” she explained and took Caspian’s hand in hers. Susan and Lucy smiled at their sister, while Peter and Edmund just stared at her and Caspian’s interlocked hands.

After a few seconds, Lucy broke away from the others and ran up to embrace her. Eliza chuckled and hugged her little sister in return.

“I’m going to miss you,” the little girl mumbled against her sister’s dress.

“I’m going to miss you too Lu. But we’ll see eachother again soon. I love you. Be good for Peter and Susan alright,” Eliza replied, kissing Lucy’s hair. Lucy nodded and stepped away from her sister to say goodbye to the others.

The next one to wrap her in a hug was Edmund. Eliza wrapped her arms around her younger brother and gave him a good squeeze.

“Take care of yourself ‘liza,” he whispered in her ear.

“I will, you stay out of trouble,” she answered.

    “I will. I’ll miss you.”

“I’ll miss you too, but I’ll see you on our next adventure.”

Edmund pulled away and placed a kiss to Eliza’s cheek then went to stand with Lucy. Next up was Susan. Eliza looked at her older sister and tears formed in her eyes. Susan pulled her into a tight hug and Eliza buried her face into her shoulder. The two sisters held each other tightly, both knowing this would be the last time they saw one another.

“I don’t want to say goodbye,” Susan spoke softly, tears forming in her own eyes.

“I don’t either, but we’ll meet again. Even if it’s in another life,” Eliza replied.

“I love you ‘liza and I’m going to miss you so much.”

“I love you too Susan, I’m going to miss you even more. Go and live a long life full of love and happiness. Remember to be yourself, and live the life you want to live. But promise me you won’t forget our adventures.”

“I won’t. Promise me, you’ll do the same.”

Eliza nodded and kissed Susan’s cheek. The two gave one another one last squeeze before they let go. Finally it was Peter’s turn to say goodbye.

The eldest Pevensie hugged his sister as tight as he could, and Eliza buried her face in his chest as the tears began to fall.

“Are you sure you’ll be okay,” he questioned.

Eliza nodded, “I’ll be fine, Caspian will be here, and so will the others.”

    “I’m going to miss you.”

“I’m going to miss you too Pete. But we’ll meet again. Until then, go live your life, surround yourself with people who make you happy and love you as much as we do. But don’t forget about us.”

“Never. I love you. And I really don’t want to let go.”

“I don’t either but we have to, take care of Susan, Edmund and Lucy.”

Peter pulled away and looked down into his sister’s watery eyes, he placed a kiss to her forehead and stepped back. He turned to Caspian with a stern look, “you take care of our sister. Treat her right.”

“You know I will,” Caspian answered, placing his hand on Eliza’s hip.

Peter nodded once and joined the others. They all said their final goodbyes, and walked through the portal. Eliza watched as her siblings disappeared, silent tears sliding down her face. She felt the soft feeling of fur brush against her hand and she looked down to see Aslan standing beside her.

“Your brothers and sisters will be just fine Eliza,” he spoke.

“I know they will be. But I’m going to miss them,” she replied, placing a hand in Aslan’s mane.

“They’ll miss you too, but you’ll always be their sister, and they’ll never be too far away.”

Eliza smiled weakly and rested her head on Caspian’s shoulder, her fingers gently combing through Aslan’s mane. Caspian held her tighter, kissing her hair for comfort.

“Are you ready to go home my love,” Caspian spoke quietly.

Eliza nodded and looked down at Aslan, “are you joining us Aslan?”

“I’m afraid not dear one, I am needed elsewhere. But I will see you soon,” the lion spoke. Eliza gave him one final hug and they said their goodbyes before parting ways.

Eliza took Caspian’s hand in hers and they made their way back to the castle.

    “Caspian,” she asked suddenly.

    “Can I tell you something?”

    “Of course.”

    “I’m scared.”

    “Of what? What’s troubling you?”

“I’m scared that this is all a dream, that I’ll wake up and will be back in England.”

Caspian brushed a strand of her black hair from her face, “this isn’t a dream my love. This is real, what we have is real.”

“But what happens if it’s over too fast?”

“Can’t we use what has been given to us,” Caspian said, looking into her bright blue eyes, “I want to be with you, whether it’s only for an hour or a week or a few months or a lifetime.”

Eliza looked up into his dark eyes and smiled, all her worries melting away. She stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to his. Caspian returned the kiss and they both knew, everything would be alright.
