Justice (XI) it’s the eleventh trump or Major Arcana in the traditional tarot desk.
the Justice card carries several divinatory associations such as equity, rightness, probity, executive; triumph of the deserving side in law.
Once you’ve been reading and handling your Tarot deck for a while, you’ll notice that sometimes the cards reveal themselves upside-down, also known as reversed. Many beginner guide books advise that reversed cards be read as the opposite or negative connotation of the upright meaning of the card, but a great deal of readers will advise that reversed cards are not interpreted so simply. It’s important to note that some readers don’t read their cards reversed at all, and turn them upright when they appear that way in their spreads. Do what works best for you and what you feel called to do at each moment. There’s no wrong way to read Tarot, except in a way that doesn’t resonate with your spirit. When cards come up in a reversed position in your spreads, they can indicate a number of circumstances surrounding the energy of that particular card: the energy may be blocked or unable to manifest in your life, delayed, ending, or manifesting at a more internal, subconscious level. Understanding how to interpret reversed cards in the context of your readings will deepen your ability to read intuitively, as well as provide more specific, detailed, and accurate insight to the readings you give to yourself and others.
Context is Crucial
When interpreting the reversed cards in your readings, it is important to take into account the surrounding cards in the spread. The energy of those cards will give an indication as to how the reversed cards in your spread should be understood. They’ll help key in certain details that signify whether the energy of the reversed cards is blocked, delayed, challenged, or manifesting internally. See how the cards interact differently with the reversed cards present (whether the figures are facing each other, if they are facing left or right, how the objects they hold change direction & shape when in an upside-down position), and incorporate those nuances into your interpretations. Those details are what make readings less general and more personal.
Some of the most common ways reversed cards can be interpreted is as the energy of the card being blocked, delayed, or presented with a challenge to overcome. For example, The Sun Reversed may indicate there is success, good news, and happiness potentially present in your life, but due to other conflicting or opposing energies, that abundance cannot be experienced at its full potential. When the surrounding cards indicate a delay, there may be Universal workings that you are unaware of that are keeping this energy from being available to you in that present moment, and you are encouraged to remain optimistic about the outcome of your situation. When there are clear and present challenges in your life, The Sun Reversed indicates that there’s nothing to worry about, and you will come out on the other side of these obstacles with blessings and positivity.
As Tarotmancy readings can reveal energies within the subconscious that we are unaware of, utilizing reversed cards as an expression of that internal manifestation can help us understand how we’re feeling and how it connects to the events in our daily life. These subconscious stirrings can relate to our memories, desires, and fears that we try to suppress, but pull our strings and guide us to act in certain ways. For example, the VIII of Cups in its upright position can signify an emotional release, or leaving behind people and situations that create a heavy or unhealthy emotional response from you. When reversed, it may indicate being checked out of a relationship, job, or spiritual pathway that you are still (at least physically) present and actively participating in. As with any other interpretation of your reversed cards, pay attention to the context of the reading, the surrounding cards, and most importantly, what your intuition guides you towards.
Why So Many?
Throwing down a lot of reversed cards at once in a spread can be overwhelming, especially when you are just beginning to work and grow comfortable with them. When a lot of reversed cards come up in your spreads, there are a few ways to look at why. It could mean that there is some serious introspective work that needs to be completed so that you can feel more connected to yourself and the Universe. Sometimes, you, your deck, or both of y’all need a good cleansing. There may be other energetic forces at play that can yield a lot of reversed cards, such as Mercury’s Retrograde phase, but it could also be as simple as you picked your deck upside down one day. Use your intuition to contemplate on what it may mean, but also don’t look too much into it. Be patient with yourself and the cards, and pay more attention to what the cards are saying, rather than what position they come out in.
Interpreting reversed cards is an important component of some readers’ practice, and some don’t bother with it at all. How you choose to read your cards should be based on what resonates with you. If you choose to read reversed cards into your practice, allow yourself to be as open with your interpretation of their meanings as you do with the cards in their upright placement. Trust in your intuition to help you discern how the energy of the reversed card is being expressed, and allow the other cards in the spread to help you develop the energetic narrative.

A general life reading in regards to maintaining happiness within the self
In this reading I see growth and transformation!
The queen of swords reversed sits on her thrown almost too domineering, suggesting unrealistic demands.
🃏This is confirmed by fool who lay across her. The imagery suggests a fantasy world is at play. Reminding us that happiness can breeze through like a cloud ~Here one minute, gone the next~ practice staying grounded.
❓In the past position the hanged man appears
~A life in suspense or sacrifice made~
Moved away from those you love to seek happiness else where? Sacrificed your own happiness for the sake of others? Whichever way, you where left in suspense which may be the reasoning for the unjust demands from the queen of swords.
👑Two queens close together in a reading suggest rivalry. A battle that sparks evolution from the queen of swords who’s more logical in thinking to the emotional intelligence of queen of cups who sits (now upright) in the near future position!
⚙The wheel of fortune awakens us to the options we have laid out before us
💞The lovers card states the best outcome is a balanced harmony if we can awaken to the emotional maturity.
(I will leave this text at the cross for now as celtic cross readings are jam packed full of information) Feel free to comment what you see from this reading!🖤🕯I am new to the world of tarot so comments and suggestions are more than welcome x

Reverse is no, upright is yes!
Seokjin - Princess of Wands Reversed
He feels like it’s a leaning experience he doesn’t want to have 😂 also just not a passionate fan about anything, so he doesn’t want to read any.
Namjoon - Nine of Wands Reversed
He feels like he would end up feeling resentful of his fame and the people who write weird stuff about him. He feels like it’s attacking the artist. Like it makes him super anxious. And uncomfortable.
Hoseok - Four of Swords Reversed
He feels like the anxiety of reading it and finding something weird would exhaust him emotionally. Also he’s often too burnt out to read ANYTHING after work, let alone fanfiction.
Jungkook - The Chariot Reversed
He would rather be out and about and active instead of reading. It just doesn’t interest him at all
Yoongi - Knight of Wands
He felt like he would take a risk one day and delve into it, he thought it would be a once ego boost when he’s feeling low to see how he’s inspired people.
His reaction? The Two of Wands Reversed:
It pushed him out of his comfort zone. And made him doubt himself and his fan base for being…. uncomfortably unusual.
Jimin - The Lovers
He viewed it as the ultimate expression of love from his fans, also makes him feel so loved and good inside. Also I feel like he reads fanfics about stuff he loves, it makes him happy!
His Reaction? Eight of Pentacles:
He was impressed with everyone’s creativity. He really admires everyone’s craftsmanship and their ability to spin such amazing stories. It also inspires HIS creativity and makes him write some songs!
Taehyung - King of Cups
He was curious, but didn’t want to appear too invested, even though he was very exited to se how people interpret him. I feel like him and Jimin read some together. 😆
His Reaction? Four of Wands Reversed:
Made him uncertain of his own image and how people perceive him. He’s read so many different ones he’s not even sure how people see him. Kind of made him uncomfortable and restless. Just made him have thoughts he didn’t want to have. Like how people see you can be quite damaging if it’s no where near the truth. He doesn’t like being portrayed as mean or violent.
