Harry Styles x Reader

Y/n was absolutely smitten! Though she and Harry had been together for a year and a half now, she still can't believe how much love and adoration she has for him...she loves the way his eyes light up in a childish gleam at the silliest of things, the way his eyes crinkle when he finds something comical, the way he always knows how to light up her mood when she was feeling down, the way he is a little too concerned about her well being (though she would never admit it to him, especially when he forces her to swallow the green grass purees early in the morning!!),the way he always finds a way to make her heart beat faster by just a glance at her direction...so to say she was hopelessly in love with him would be an understatement.

Harry can also say the same about y/n, before her he always immersed himself in work, not only because he enjoyed his fans' attention...but also to not feel too lonely in hotel rooms in the dead of the night, only to write songs about how lonely he felt... meeting y/n was like a breath of fresh air to him, he met her in a song writing session...and the moment he laid his eyes on her he swore that he got lost in her eyes, twinkling with sweet innocence that held a touch of mischief in them.

The picture of the day still remains imprinted in his mind, entering the studio where the session was taking place in a cute denim outfit and sneakers, trying to balance Starbucks and take-out.

Flashback (start)

Y/n was very excited she, finally got the chance to be a part of a songwriting session with THE famous Harry Styles!!! Giving herself a pep talk in the mirror for the hundredth time since she was contacted by Harry's manager, she tries to convince herself in a firm tone, she says "You are not going to jump his bones, freak out or start sobbing the minute you see him! You're going to be professional and act like the grown up you are", Intruding her pep talk Tara, y/n's bff, now turned flatmate, deadpans -"define grown up!" Y/n eyes Tara as she struts into the room as if she hadn't just interrupted her friend's last attempt of trying to calm herself down. She tosses the few clothes lying on the bed, onto the chair that she is aware has never been sat on but has only been used as a cloth dump.

Y/n sighs and replies, in a very 'pretending not to gush about here celebrity crush tone' "Is this Fleetwood Mac t-shirt too much?" Tara tries her best to not sound rude, but then decides to just FUCK IT! and replies with a "Let's take a look at what do we have in here", walking towards y/n's closet.

Standing in front of Columbia records y/n regrets the shot she gulped which was supposed to calm her nerves down...but was now only making her feel more giddy.

Trying to balance the sandwiches and her songwriting diary clad in a cool and casual denim outfit which was comfortable and also one of your favourites.

Entering the building and punching in the floor number in the all too familiar elevator, nearing the floor the session was being conducted on she could feel her stomach unsettling, ignoring the annoying feeling in her stomach she exits the stifling elevator and makes her way towards the room.

Harry was awaiting the highly praised and talked about songwriter y/n. He wanted nothing but the best of musicians on his team for his first album,so Harry decided to fix a session with her. What he didn't expect was for a pretty and seemingly clumsy girl enter the premises catching his eye as he gets distracted by her presence, not able to comprehend the words tumbling out of Jeff's mouth.

The moment their eyes locked with each other Harry could feel the butterflies in his tummy, her eyes were twinkling with what seemed to be excitement and a hint of nervousness.

Excusing himself from the conversation he had long tuned out of, he made his way towards the girl whose doe-like eyes were now wide, feeling almost as if she was pulling him towards her, for the first time in a really long time did he feel his heart thumping in chest, beating against his ribcage, as if ready to burst out any moment.

Introducing himself with his hand outstretched, towards y/n he felt like a teenager all over again, a deep pink encasing his cheeks as her soft hands are now in contact with his massive ones. His heart made leap the second her name left her lips and landed straight in her palms...and he is considers himself the luckiest man on the planet when he says that she never returned his heart, but has since kept it safe in her possession ever since. Y/n trying her best to keep her composure and not fangirl, introduced herself in a squeaky voice, which Harry found adorable. They immediately hit it off and after a few songwriting sessions Harry finally asked her out and The rest is history!

Flashback (finished)

A year and a half later they still feel their hearts light up with joy, by just a glance at each other's giddy faces.

Everyone was aware about their relationship the media,the fans, their family and friends, and most approved of it and took a liking towards their sweet bond.

Y/n has always been good with words, and has had a strong liking towards music, growing up in a toxic household, where having an opinion and standing up for your beliefs was considered disrespectful and argumentative, she felt that writing was the only way in which she could express herself. Starting out just for the purpose of taking off the burden of her unheard thoughts from her chest, writing soon transitioned from hobby to passion to profession. She had an apartment in LA which she shared with her bestfriend, a job that she loves, a boyfriend that supports and encourages her and loves her just the way she is, loving and accepting friends, everything that she ever wanted in life. Ofcourse their was the media that sometimes got overwhelming and some haters online, but she could easily fight it all off with her friends and her boyfriend by her side.

Sitting on the floor of the studio, surrounded by Mitch, Sarah, Adams and Jeff clad in an oversized sweater that she sneakily cloth-napped from Harry's closet, a pair of shorts and sneakers, she starts strumming a few chords and noting down another lyric idea in her leather journal that Harry gifted her on their 6 months anniversary...Harry had left a few minutes prior with Jeff to pick up lunch for everyone from the Chinese restaurant they all liked some 25 minutes away.

They all finally get over with finishing the song they all had secretly been crafting as a surprise for Harry, that y/n had been writing for his birthday, in addition to agreeing with moving in with him.

On the night of his birthday, y/n couldn't keep her hand off of Harry he looked so intoxicating in his simple black suit, with some leather formal shoes with a rainbow on top making him look more intimidating. She couldn't wait to surprise him, having planned this night in advance from the past 1 month, agreeing to moving in with him was just another layer of icing on the cake.

Harry noticed how his bubby was always on edge throughout the night, he once even asked her, "what's wrong lovey? You seem a bit distracted" to which she replied with a sweet "Nothing's wrong H! Just want everything to go smoothly and for you to enjoy your night". Harry being Harry replied with a cocky smirk on his face " I can think of a few ways in which I could make us Both enjoy our night", hands pinching y/n's plushy waste lightly. Y/n audibly gasps and bats his hand away, blush creeping on her already heated cheeks.

Just before the cake cutting ceremony, Tara had been trying to distract Harry by making him engage in conversations with different people as long as possible. But Harry refused to intract with people at one point because he couldn't find his Lovie or his band friends (band mates) anywhere. Just as another guest was about to approach him to ask about what Harry planned on doing next, the lights dimmed and he could slowly make out the sillouhette of his bandmates and soulmate in the centre of the living room, suddenly a glowy spotlight is cascading around their figure, making them all look a bit intimidating if you ask him.

He could now hear the commencement of the drums followed by his clumsy girl strumming the guitar, words slowly pouring out of her mouth like honey dripping from her sweet lips.

Harry could feel tears prickling at corner eyes, he could feel his heart expand by a thousand times, due to the amount of love he has for the woman standing in front of him. As the musical piece gets over and everybody starts applauding the enchanting performance, much like the first time strides towards y/n but with much more confidence and endless love for the woman, he holds her face in the palms of his hands, staring into her soul, he plants his lips on her's and encapsulates her in an addictive kiss, sending her mind into a star of frenzy, she is sure that her brain has gone to mush and has turned into a slimy goop. Leveling his mouth with her ear he whispers in a low rumble"I'm going to show just how much I love you, just wait till everyone leaves. Be prepared for your return gift, baby." Y/n feels her heart race faster, now she can't wait for the night to get over.
