    You Did This To Me(Commander Wolffe x Reader)

    Wolffe x Reader, post-Order 66 so idk if it’s still “commander”

    Warnings: The three A’s (Argument, Angst, and Anger), mentions of violence and death

    A/N: Did I want to write something that would break my heart tonight? No, but here we are anyways. I actually really like this piece though. It’s on the shorter side but it’s got claws(it a weird literary sense). Anyways I hope you like it! Also I’ve decided if pt 1 of OALITG gets 100+ notes I’ll write a part 4, and I think it’s at 99 notes at the time of writing this(This is not promo for it, it’s just putting it down in writing so I commit myself to doing it, but also pls go support my baby).

    You were already half asleep when you felt the bed dip, hearing Wolffe behind you grunt as he crawled under the sheet next to you, trying to get comfortable.

    “What’s this?” He asked once he had found a position he liked next to you. He lifted up the fabric that covered the both of you to look at the shirt you were wearing.

    “It’s too hot to wear anything else,” You complained with your eyes still closed. You had worn a thin camisole to bed because Seelos was going through a record-breaking heat wave. One that would have probably killed you if you were wearing more layers.

    “It’s nice,” Wolffe commented, drawing lines on your shoulder, “Not something I would picture a Jedi Knight having in her wardrobe,”

    You groaned before turning over to face him. The small light in the corner of your bedroom illuminated both of your faces.

    “I’m no jedi anymore,” You said as you pulled the sheet down to reveal the scars you had over your chest, “Not with the things I’ve had to do to survive,”

    Wolffe studied your exposed skin for a while. Running his hands over one of the more prominent scars that trailed from your collarbone down to the bottom of your sternum where your shirt plunged.

    “Does this one hurt?” He asked, his fingers not leaving your skin.

    “Not anymore, it did when I first got them though,” You answered, carefully  watching his every movement.

    “I can’t believe someone did this to you,” He murmured.

    You eyed him, questioning if he was being candid, “Wolffe, you did this to me. Don’t you remember?”

    “What?” He asked, not knowing what you were talking about.

    “You got orders from the Emperor and then you turned your guns on me. The whole company you were with turned their guns on me,” You told him.

    He shook his head at you, trying to sort out that day in his mind. He remembered that day, hearing those orders, lifting his weapon at someone. But everything after that became blurry and unreliable. He wasn’t sure what parts were real and what parts were fake. If you didn’t have the scars to prove it, he would’ve thought it was a dream.

    “You gave me this one, this one and this one,” You pointed to prominent scars on your body that had been clearly caused by blaster shots.

    “You know I would never do that to you,” He insisted, looking like he was on the verge of tears, now looking you in the eyes, “Whoever did that was in my mind and-”

    “I know,” your replied, cupping his cheek with one of your hands and feeling his warmth, “We both did things that day that we would take back if we could,”

    “(Y/N), whatever you did that day, you did it to protect yourself,” He tried to reassure you.

    While his words were immeasurable to you, the memories of what you did haunted you. You knew what you had done, you remembered all of it, for better or for worse.

    You lifted up your shirt to reveal the continuation of each scar that decorated your body.

    “Boost gave me this one and Sinker shot me here and here,” You said as you pointed to each of the corresponding scars, “I have a couple more on my lower back and about half a dozen on my legs from Warthog, Corvis and Comet,”

    Wolffe’s expression changed into something unreadable. He had read his brother’s files of what had happened to them that day. That their cause of death had been recorded as “impalement from a lightsaber by a force-wielder.

    It had just never occurred to him that that person could possibly be you.

    “I couldn’t save everyone Wolffe,” You broke down, “I tried and I’m sorry but there were too many guns firing away, and at one point I knew I could only save you and I. I did what I thought was right in the moment, but I’m so sorry,”

    A tear fell down your cheek as you apologized to him. You had told him sorry several times before, but never specifically what for.

    You waited for his reaction but nothing ever came.

    His hands had retracted back and refused to touch you anymore. His eyes were still on your scars, but his star was hardened and cold. His silence wasn’t sincere or endearing, it was deafening. The longer he didn’t speak or move, the more you felt your heart breaking for him to do something.

    “I, I maybe I should just sleep on the couch tonight,” You murmured before fixing your shirt and grabbing your pillow.

    Wolffe didn’t say anything.

    You thought for a moment that he might tell you to stay as you exited your bedroom. But he didn’t. You thought eventually he would follow you out to your living room and join you. But he didn’t. As you laid on the couch, more awake than ever, you thought he might come lay with you. But he didn’t.

    Instead, all you received from him was silence.

    You thought he would be there in the morning. But he wasn’t.

    What happens in Canto Bight (Commander Wolffe x Jedi! F!Reader)

    Commander Wolffe x Jedi! F!Reader (Fake Marriage troupe)

    Concept art inspo(jedi look) // Concept art inspo(Wardobe look) // Concept art inspo(Canto Bight look)

    People much more talented than I am created the art used for the concept art and gifs

    Warnings: minor character death, canon-typical violence and cursing, some heated kissing(nothing too bad though)

    A/N: Happy May the 4th Be With You! I wanted to post something today and this is the latest piece I had been working on. It’s a little different, but I really like it. The Wolffe x Reader comes out later in the second half of this one-shot btw. Also did I use a gif of Corscant because I couldn’t find one of Canto Bight that I like... maybe but I’ll never tell. Anyways I hope you like it!! Happy Star Wars Day!!

    “Careful we must be, when delivering this news to her padawan,” Was the first thing you heard after waking up. Master Yoda’s voice, while calm as always was now only filled with sorrow and dread.

    “I will do it” Master Kenobi’s voice responded, “I was the last one with Master Gallia,”

    “Wise choice that is,” Master Yoda claimed. The small pats of his cane echoed as you could feel them move closer to you.

    You stirred a little before opening your eyes. First feeling the tightness from the bacta patch on your abdomen and the IVs in your arm. Once you managed to open your eyes, they were hit with the blinding lights of the med bay. It took you a few moments of blinking before you were able to make out the two masters at your bedside.

    “Master yoda, Master Kenobi ,” You addressed them.

    “Young one, a grave blast you have survived” Master Yoda sighed, “But sorrow we feel more for your loss,”

    All of a sudden, the events flooded back to you. You and your Master Adi Gallia had been on campaign to take back a Sepertist-ruled planet in the mid-rim. Your assignment was to organize an air raid that she would follow with a  coordinated ground assault. While you had been successful on your front, when landing to help your master, the LA-AT you had been abroad was shot down. The last thing you remember was your master pulling you from the debris and calling out for help.

    “I am so sorry my dear young one,” Master Kenobi uttered, “Your Master and I left for a mission while you were recovering here-”

    “Oh Maker, Masters,” You gasped, interrupting him. You looked up at the two of them, feeling something in the force. It was a terrible sorrow like you had never felt before built up in your chest. Tears started falling down your cheeks as you felt your heart crushed. You didn’t need Master Kenobi to finish giving you the news of what had happened. You could already feel it.

    Your master was dead.

    ---------------- Weeks later

    “Hey! Shiny with the sword!” One of the clones called out to you across the dining hall, “Come sit with us!”

    You froze looking over at the table where the voice came from, a little shocked at the volume he used. It was the first time anyone of the 104th had interacted with you besides on the battlefield. Even after being reassigned to Master Plo as his apprentice and having been aboard their ship for weeks, you still had yet to make even a friend besides your Master. Instead, most of the time you found yourself in your quarters reading or in the ship’s meditation chamber.

    You hesitantly walked over to the group of about half a dozen troopers, hoping that eating with them at their table would be better than in your quarters again.

    “Hey! You’re General Plo’s new kid right?” One of the other clones asked, “The one from General Gallia?”

     Even though it had been a couple of weeks since your former master’s death, her name shocked you. It sounded foreign rolling off someone’s tongue. However, you quickly hid any shock from your face and just sat down with your lunch tray instead.

    “Oh kriff!” One of them exclaimed, “You jedi always get access to the good stuff,”. He peaked at your lunch before taking a piece of jorgan fruit off your plate and popping it in his mouth.

    “Please, feel free to have the rest,” You offered, pushing the plate towards them, “I’m actually allergic,”

    A couple of the clones immediately dug their hands into the bowl of fruit. Soon after, there were a few murmured introductions over their chewing. As it came down to the last couple of pieces, you couldn’t help but giggle a little at their manners as they fought over who would get it.

    “Commander (Y/L/N),” Someone said in a stern voice, everyone’s head looked up to see where it had come from.

    All the clones immediately recognized who the voice belonged to and elected to stop fighting. It was Commander Wolffe.

    You looked up, startled by his appearance. While the two of you technically shared the same rank of commander, you had yet to actually build up the courage to talk to him in a setting other than front lines of a battle.

    “Uh yes Commander?” You uttered, nervously toying with the hem of your sleeve.

    “I’m sorry to cut your lunch short, but General Plo has requested to see the two of us on the bridge immediately,”

    You stood up giving a small, quick wave goodbye to some of the troopers before following the commander out of the dining hall. It was a quiet few steps with next to him as you tried to keep up with him. It took three of your steps to make up for just one of his.

    The silence lasted until the two of you stood in lift going up.

    “I see you started fraternizing with my troopers,” He said, breaking the silence. The words came out almost as a threat making your heart stop for a moment.

    If you had the courage, you would’ve argued you shared the same rank and they were your troopers as much as his. But you didn’t, instead electing to stay quiet. Anxiously looking up, watching the floor numbers increase and praying the lift would speed up.

    “I would have expected you’d come around sooner,” He smirked with his head facing front, “Rumor has it that your old master has a sharp tongue. Something she taught and passed onto you,”

    “Had,” You finally spoke in a soft voice, correcting him, “My Master Gallia had a sharp tongue,”

    While you admired the compassion Master Plo had emphasized in your training, you missed your old master’s wit and sarcasm. A snide comment didn’t feel the same as when she was alive. So you chose to hold your tongue back ever since her death, figuring any of her humor she had passed down to you had died along with her.

    The doors of the lift opened up to the bridge. General Plo stood talking with a couple of deck officers, everything seemed to be business as usual.

    “”Commander, my padawan,” Master Plo greeted the two of you, finding you among the the sea of officers, “I have an classified mission for the two of you,”

    “Classified?”

    “For the two of us?” Wolffe and you said over each other.

    “Yes,” You master answered you both, “The Galactic Army has assigned the two of you to go undercover into the Sepertist-ruled city of Canto Bight. We have reason to believe many of the casinos there are fronts for the Separatist’s money-laundering. The GAR’s main goal is to make this war unfinanceable without ruining the city of Canto Bight,”

    Taking down a source of revenue for the Separatists would be a huge victory for the Republic. It could be a possible tide-changer in the war. You looked at Wolffe, both of you were sharing the same expression, understanding the weight of this mission.

    Your face turned into a frown, thinking and somewhat confused about how Wolffe could be assigned your partner, “Master, with all due respect, but there might be a problem with this plan. Seeing as Commander Wolffe has a recognizable face,”

    “That is no worry Padawan,” Plo chuckled, “The jedi recently had some success using facial transformation, vocal moducatores, and holomasks. I think it will work to side-step the issue of Commander Wolffe being recognized,”

    “How do you know that it will work against the Separatists?” Wolffe asked, suspicious about the tech mentioned.

    “It was good enough to fool General Skywalker and Count Dooku,”

    Wolffe nodded, accepting Plo’s answer. If it was good enough to fool the proclaimed “Chosen One” and Master Yoda’s old apprentice, it was good enough for him.

    “Your wardrobes and cover identification chips will be delivered to your quarters. The two of you leave tomorrow before breakfast,” Your Master dismissed you.

    The two of you bid him goodbye and started walking away.

    “Also, Commander and my dear padawan, one more thing,” He called out to the two of you, both you turned once more to look at him, “The two of you are going undercover as a recently married couple,”

    ----------------

    “No, absolutely not,” You said, stepping out from the partition and taking a good look at yourself in the mirror.

    “Come on, you don’t look that bad” Boost, one of the troopers you had met at lunch and had delivered your wardrobe commented.

    When he dropped off all of the pieces for your new identity you requested him to stay. Asking him to help you sort out which outfits you could actually wear. Glance at most of the clothes the GAR had given you, you were pretty sure they had just raided the closet of a pit dancer.

    “I can see why the Jedi stuck to robes,” You said as you picked at the slim fabric that hung around your waist. Having a wardrobe that consisted only of robes since you were a youngling, your innate instinct was to cover up all of your exposed skin.

    “You can’t hate it that much,” Boost dragged his voice. He had told you he didn’t know any married women or anything about them, but he did claim to have extensive knowledge on what all the girls wore to 79’s when the 104th was on Coruscant. At the time it was good enough to let him stay and help you.

    “Does everything else look like this?” You asked, pinching your face in disgust. While the cover the GAR had assigned you was pretty much summed up to be the life of a just-married noblewoman, the clothing they had sent along with it gave you more than enough detail of who you were really supposed to be.

    “What, do you really not like it?” He asked, eyeing you up and down.

    “Boost! My boobs are gonna fall out of this!”

    “Here, try on this,” He threw you another outfit. This one seemingly longer.

    “This one better at least cover my navel,” You complained before walking behind the partition again.

    As you undressed you heard the doors swoosh open.

    “Whoa commander, you look different,” Boost laughed.

    “What, was I too ugly for you before?” A deep voice answered. The voice sounded close to Wolffe’s, but also completely different. It was hardened and more grueling compared to his normal voice. Ever word he spoke was intimidating, like everything he said was an automatic threat.

    “What about this one?” You voice tapered off as you stepped out again seeing what used to be your commander.

    Wolffe now had an eye patch over his prosthetic, a couple of deep, nasty scars that laid over his skin, his eyes were piercing blue instead of brown and his haircut had been been changed red buzzcut. The two of you stood in front of each other in your new looks, stunned in silence at the site of the other.

    “You look nice,” He said, his eyes lingering on you.

    “You look different,” You replied, missing the old Wolffe for a reason you couldn’t explain.

    Wollfe messed around with the buckle of his belt before his appearance pixelated and suddenly the real version of him was back.

    ”Better now Commander?” He asked, now standing in the middle of your quarters with just his black on.

    “Maybe, depends if your acting skills compete with your looks,” You teased with a smile on your face.

     “There’s that sharp tongue,” He smirked, “I knew it was somewhere,”

    ---------------- Weeks later undercover

    “There’s a Republic-disguised cruiser coming to pick us up tomorrow,” Wolffe told you as the two of you prepared to go out one last time, “It should be here by morning to pick us up and take us back to the 104th,”

    “So we only get to look like a couple one last time and then it’s all over?” You asked, trying to put the last pins in your hair. Even after several weeks of being undercover with Wolffe and doing your hair on a daily basis, you still struggled.

     “I’m afraid you only get to be my wife for one more night,” Wolffe replied, appearing behind you to help.

    He hadn’t put on his belt and changed into his disguise yet so you saw his soft, natural brown eyes, instead of the icy blue ones that he had as a part of his cover. You were a little happier upon seeing his honest reflection in the mirror.

    “You know, as a jedi we’re told marriage is never an option so I never thought I would actually get to be with someone,” You said with a smile, watching him intently focus on sliding a pin into the perfect place of your updo, “I’m really glad I got to be married to you Wolffe. Even if it was just for a little bit and if it technically wasn’t real,”

    You turned to face him once his hands left your hair.

    “Well, I’m the luckiest man in the galaxy to have had you just for the time that I did,” He replied.

    You suddenly found yourself sentimental at the sound of his words. Realizing that after this mission you would probably have to lie and say that you didn’t miss being undercover with him.

    Your gut told you that Canto Bight would always have a significant place in your heart because of a certain someone.

    It would be inaccurate to say that you and him hadn’t grown close over the last several weeks. You had opened up to him about your injury and waking up to find you had lost your master. He had talked about almost losing his entire battalion and then losing his eye. Your conversations with each other, having each other’s backs and the amount of times you saved each other's lives while undercover blurred the line of being just friends.

    You reasoned that it was just for the mission. However, the more you thought about it, the more clear it became that it wasn’t just that. The two of you had both found simple ways of helping the other. Whether it was Wolffe helping you with your hair each day or you preparing Wolffe’s caf in the early morning just the way he liked it. Both of you could have done the mission without these little ways in your routine, but you liked these little things. They helped to make it not just another mission for the GAR, but rather something for yourself.

    “Wolffe, do you think that there’s a chance we might go on another mission like this?” You asked, stepping closer to him and closing the gap between the two of you.

    “If the GAR deems our mission successful, I don’t see why not,” He shrugged, welcoming your closeness.

    “I would really like that,” You replied.

    You knew what you were saying to him was pushing the lines of the Jedi Code. That if any code-abiding jedi heard your words, you would most certainly be punished, possibly even be kicked out of the order. But you reasoned that it was your last night of being undercover. Maybe it wasn’t too harmful to play into what you felt for just a little bit longer.

    ----------------

    “We have a tail,” Wolffe said, looking over his shoulder. His eyes hooked on a pair of Zygerrians sitting at a nearby table. They were clearly still pretending to be playing the same game of sabacc they had started an hour ago.

    “We’ve had them tail us for weeks,” You replied before taking a sip of your beer, “It’s no different now if we just keep our covers,”

    “We should take care of them now,” Wolffe said, his hand over his pistol in holster. He was probably a little bit too trigger-happy after weeks of not being on the frontlines.

    You quickly placed your hand over his, stopping him from pulling out his pistol, “If we engage then we will out ourselves as apart of the Republic, and all the work we’ve done over the last several weeks will be for nothing,”

    The stakes of the mission were high, if the Separatists found out that two Republic commanders were shooting up a storm on their occupied planet it wouldn’t take long for them to figure out the Republic’s intentions. They would move their money out of Canto Bight and all the information you and Wolffe had collected on their money-laundering scheme would be useless.

    “They’re looking over here again,” He murmured, “They know,”

    “If they knew we were Republic we would be dead by now,” You sighed.

    “It’s not safe, we’re leaving,” He said, grabbing your arm and pulling you away from the bar you had been sitting at.

    “Wolffe -my beer!” You exclaimed being pulled away from it.

    “I'll buy you another one sometime,” He said, slipping off the jacket he was wearing and putting it on your shoulders as you exited the bar.

    As the two of you made your way back to the apartment you had been put up in, the zygerrians had decided to suddenly end their sabacc game and followed closely behind. Wolffe put his arm around you, pulling you in closer to him as he guided the two of you down a few dark backstreet pathways.

    “They’re still following us,” You said, looking behind you. It was just the two of you a few paces in front of the linger Zygerrians now.

    “Do you trust me?” Wolffe asked looking down at you.

    “Of course,” You replied without any hesitation.

    Without skipping a beat, his hands were wrapped around your thighs, pinning you up against the closest wall so his back was to the Zygerrians. His lips landing on yours. His hands never letting go of your thighs, instead, giving them a good squeeze that drew out a small gasp from you.

    While the two of you had kissed in public before, it was never like this. Never in a way that made your cheeks flush. For a short moment, you forgot that it was all for show. Instead, just letting yourself enjoy it.

    You could feel his chest expand with his breath as he pressed against you. His lips traveled down your jaw and then to the arch of your neck. His gentle yet affectionate nature had you withering around him for another touch. You wondered if this was what marriage was really like. If it was this that made the jedi concerned about allowing any attachments.

    Gently pressing a few kisses on your collar bone. You wrapped your hand around the nape of his neck, making sure his lips wouldn’t leave your skin.

    “Grab my pistol in the holster,” He murmured against you, calling you to the task at hand, “Grab it and shot them,”

    As much as you wanted to stay in the moment, you did what he told you. You grabbed one of his dual blaster pistols and raised it at the Zygerrians. They were both unsuspecting, looking away from you and Wolffe. As you fired, they turned just in time to realize they were too late to draw their whips. With two blaster shots, there were two Zygerrians on the ground not moving.

    Wolffe let go of your legs, setting your feet back on the floor, “Nice shot commander,”

    You were still a little bit too stunned by his actions to reply.

    ----------------

    You had been back on board the 104th star-cruiser a couple of days.

     You and Wolffe went your separate ways after giving your reports to the GAR. Everything changed after that. Everytime you and he were in the same room, he stood a little closer next to you. Sometimes you would sneak a quick peck when no one was looking. At nights, one of you would sneak into the other’s quarters.

    When you were alone, you could feel how much you wanted to be with him. You knew your Master Plo could feel the change of your state through the force, telling you to meditate on “whatever it could possibly be”.

    You followed his directions, walking down to the meditation chambers. As you walked, your baggy jedi robes got caught in between your legs. Something that had developed over not wearing them for so long.

    You had returned most of the clothes the GAR had given you, although you secretly kept some of the garments that had grown on you. They were a nice reminder of your time on Canto Bight. Although the outfits didn’t look exactly the same if you didn’t do your hair. Something only Wolffe could help you with.

    Your legs crossed over a pillow, trying to relax and connect with the force. Trying to discipline yourself long enough to reestablish a connection with the force like you had before your mission.  It seemed like you tried for hours to shed all emotions and attachments. But nothing came of it, your mind kept slipping back to Wolffe. You instead focused on him, what would become of the two of you.

    Suddenly there was a knock on the door. It slid open to reveal Wolffe.

    You smiled at the sight of him.

    “You missed dinner, thought you might be hungry,” He said, placing a plate of plums in front of you before grabbing another pillow and sitting down next to you.

    “Thanks you,” You replied before starting to eat, not realizing how hungry you had become.

    “I haven’t seen you in a while,” He said, “You weren’t at the meeting on the bridge this morning,”

    “I was with Master Plo. He said he wants me to take my trials within the next cycle,” You revealed. Both of you knew if you passed, you would probably have to leave the 104th and become the General of another battalion. Meaning both of you could be sent to different sides of the galaxy at any point.

    There was a lull between the two of you before Wolffe spoke up again, “Do you ever miss Canto Bight?”

    Your head tilted at him, flashbacks of memories flooded your mind as you thought about the time you spent there, “Yes, sometimes,” You replied, “Do you?”

    “Yes, sometimes, but I find myself okay with what I left with, someone who is much better than the city itself,” He smiled, looking at you.

    Your heart melted as you grinned back, “Who is this lucky girl commander?”

    “Well,” He sighed, relaxing and spreading his feet out, “They deserve someone much better than me, that’s for sure. Even if they end up choosing a life of solitude, it would probably be better than if they ended up with someone like me. But they’re that kind of person that has convinced me that I’ll die a happy man if I die around them,”

    You couldn’t help but giggle at his morbid words, almost choking on the slice of plum in your mouth.

    “They sound great Wollfe, but don’t put yourself down like that, I’m sure they’re just as lucky to have you,” You said, placing your hand on top of his, feeling the rough calluses on his fingers, “Have you told this person about how you feel?”

    “Not exactly, but I think I’ve made it pretty clear,” He leaned in closer to you, “But every time I want to, I’m reminded that our lives won’t allow it,”

    “Huh? And why is that?” You frowned.

    “We can’t be together,” He summed up, “If anyone ever found out my feeling for you, I would be decommissioned and you would lose your whole livelihood,”

    Your heart sank hearing his words. Though, you knew he was right.

    “You know what’s crazy though?” He asked resting his forehead on top of yours, “I love you enough that I would risk it all for you. If you asked me, I would do it in a heartbeat without any regrets,”

    You knew what he was suggesting. And you knew you would do it for him if he asked you to leave the order.

    “I used to think this war was just a mess of power and glory, but you’ve changed that. Somehow, you’re worth making this mess,” He leaned in kissing you, “Whether you choose to leave it or not, I’ll follow you wherever,”

    Echo was like "oh, no, not this shit again"

    {Imagine taking some of your favorite boys on a well-deserved vacation.}

    ~~~~
    “All right, your turn,” said Rex, plopping down next to you, his eyes already closed.
    “Five more minutes?”
    “You agreed to this. And besides—I gave you ten extra.”
    “Yeah, but I didn’t know that I was signing up to be a chaos coordinator.”
    Meanwhile, beyond the shade of the small tent, Echo was sunbathing unapologetically to restore his skin to a healthy glow.
    “Can you at least have the decency to put your swim-trunks back on?” Asked of Jesse, looking down at his brother.
    “No.”
    Taking a breath, you looked around and mentally took count of the clones. You did this twice before your eyes grew wide.
    “FIVES!” You hollered. “Check on your brother!”
    “Which one?”
    Tup popped his head out of the water, his long locks pooling around his shoulders.
    “Never-mind!”
    {Imagine being a senator and you were saved by the Coruscant Guard}
    ~~~~

    The captor now lay crumbled on the floor with a fresh round of holes of blaster fire steaming from their lifeless body.

    “Are you all right, Senator?”

    You tore your eyes away from the scene to focus on the Clone Trooper approaching you.

    “Yes, much better now. Thank you.”

    “It’s our duty, Senator,” the red and white armored trooper acknowledged with a nod.

    “What’s your name?”

    “CC-1010.” He replied as the other troopers closed in to deal with the body.

    You smiled kindly, correcting your question. “What do you call yourself?”

    “Fox, Senator.”

    Your smile grew, “I like that name.”

    The armored man in front of you appeared to become rigid.

    Your Highness Pt 2(Commander Wolffe x Royalty!Reader)

    Commander Wolffe x Princess!Reader, mentions of Rush Clovis x Princess!Reader

    Prologue Part 1

    Costume art/inspo for Reader // Writing Prompt inspo

    Warnings: Excessive drinking, drunk!Reader, canon-typical cursing.

    A/N: Okay I think this chapter is really sweet and it focuses much more on the Reader and Wolffe compared to the prologue and pt 1. On a different note, I was thinking of doing another part for my Rex Soulmate!AU just because I really rushed to finish it and didn’t like how I ended it(just a random tidbit of info that you probably didn’t need)

    “Your highness,” Wolffe addressed you. You instantly recognized the helmet as he walked with a couple of other troopers behind him.

    You and few of your handmaidens stepped out of the doorway of your father’s quarters, exiting after a tense meeting with his medical team.

    You were surprised by the commander’s presence. It had been a couple weeks since your meeting in the gardens and your sighting of him had been limited to only seeing him in the occasional passing.

    During that time, Senator Clovis had come and gone. Only making his stay so long as to greet you and lay out the plans of your wedding before heading back to Coruscant to vote on some banking bill. One that would give the Republic more credit and give the banking clan even more authority in the outer rim.

    While your mother and your future husband got along perfectly during that short time period and agreed on every aspect of your wedding to a perfect T. The same could hardly be said for you. You found yourself and your thoughts often wandering back to that moment in the gardens when you had met him there. Daydreaming about your time spent there rather than putting more thought into your impending future.

    “Hello,” You greeted him in a shy voice, “How are you? How have you been?”

    “Fine,” He responded, pausing a brief, calculated moment before continuing, “And you?”

    “I am alright. I was just visiting my father and his doctors,” You replied, tucking some loose strands of hair behind your ear.

    “How is his majesty doing?” He asked, then taking off his helmet.

    A flush of heat rushed to your cheeks upon seeing those eyes that you had found yourself missing so much.

    “I’m-m afraid my father could be-e better,” You stumbled over your words. Kriff, this had never happened to you before. Your heart flutters in no way it had before. For Maker’s sake you had just gotten the news from the doctors that your father’s days were numbered and that you should be prepared to take the throne. But all you could focus on was the man in front of you.

    “I’m sorry to hear, your highness,” He said. His voice, much clearer, not restricted by his helmet anymore.

    “Thank you. I see you are-re not alone today,” You quickly changed the subject to the two troopers standing a half-step behind him before you melted where you were standing.

    “This is Sergeant Sinker and Sergeant Comet, my staff officers,” He introduced them.

    You gave a small courtesy bow, acknowledging them before one of your handmaidens stepped in to tap your shoulder.

    You let out a slight groan, knowing what tap meant.

    “I am afraid I cannot stay any longer. I am scheduled to have lunch on the Garden Terrace soon,” You informed them. Your father’s doctor visit made you miss lunch with the royal court, although you weren’t really too sad about missing a meal in which the only discussion would be about your wedding,

    “Well then, it was good to see you your Highness,”

    “It was very good to see you too Wolffe,”

    You caught one of his troopers behind him, Sinker, nudging the other when you called his commander just by his first name, wiggling his eyebrows at his brother. The other one, Comet just rolled his eyes in response.

    “My troopers and I should get back to our responsibilities,” Wolffe agreed before he started to make his way past you.

    “Well uh -actually Wolffe, is there a possibility where the three of you like to escort me to lunch?” You asked on an impulse.

    Wolffe glanced back at you, blinking a couple of times, a little unsure of how to answer.

    “Uh, well the three of us-” Comet started.

    “Our Commander would love to escort you to lunch,” Sinker interrupted him with a smirk on his face, “I’m afraid Comet and I have to make sure the shipments of Saava silk the queen wanted gets unloaded. But our Commander has nothing else to do today,”

    Sinker was practically on his heels, pushing the other sergeant out of the doors with him to leave the two of you.

    “Well would you look at that? I guess I’m all yours, your highness,” Wolffe said.

    -----------------

    “Wolffe are you sure you don’t want anything to eat?” You asked, dismissing your handmaidens before sitting down at the table set out with delicacies that had been shipped in from each sector of the galaxy.

    The commander stood idly near you hesitant to take a seat.

    “As nice as this is, I really must get back to my troopers, your highness,” He said before claiming he was doubtful that Comet would be able to keep Sinker in line all by himself.

    Even though, deep down in his heart, he did really want to stay with you.

    “Wolffe, have you eaten today? I would hate for my hospitality to leave you hungry,” You asked, a little saddened when you noticed that he wouldn’t call you by your name, instead just using your title like everyone else.

    “Don’t worry, I ate with my brothers this morning,” He lied. He had actually been on the night shift and then replaced one of his brothers who had gotten sick on the Queen’s security detail. In between that and seeing you, he hadn’t had so much of a sip of water or a wink of sleep all day.

    “Well before you go, will you at least taste this for me?” You requested, pushing forth a plate stacked with fruit, “Just to make sure no one is poisoning my planet’s future queen,”

    “I suppose that would be a part of my duty as your security,” Wolffe justified before plopping a slice of jorgan fruit and letting it melt in his mouth.

    “You should try a sip of the blossom wine. It is imported from Naboo,” You said before pouring him a glass, “You know, just to be safe,”

    “Of course, your highness,” He said before bringing the flute to his lips.

    -----------------

    It took the commander longer than it should have to realize he had practically spent the latter half of his day with you. You and him had managed to finish off the bottle of blossom wine and open a bottle of Ryborean gax before realizing the sun was setting.

    Wolffe was a hardened drinker, due to many nights spent at 79’s. However, the same could not be said for you. You had tried to keep up with him until you felt your dazed state take over halfway into the bottle of Ryborean gax. You were pretty sure if you stood up in this state, you wouldn’t stay vertical for more than a few steps.

    “I’m tired,” You giggled, slouching down in your chair, “All this juice -it makes me want to take a long nap,”

    Wolffe chuckled a little. He could tell you didn’t drink often, and when you did it wasn’t anywhere near the two bottles you had shared.

    “Wolffe, will you take a nap with me?” You asked before taking another sip from your flute. A little bit dribbled down your chin.

    The commander could only shake his head with a smirk on his face.

    “(Y/N), I’m afraid people might get the wrong idea if we take a nap together,” He leaned over with his napkin and wiped your chin. As much as he was enjoying any time with you, he had been taught better than to sleep with a drunken princess in her own home.

    Although, he would be lying to say he didn’t find some humor in your tipsy state. He couldn't help but smirk a little, looking at how cute you were with the sleeves of your gown rolled up to your elbows and your heels kicked off with your feet perched up on the table. While everything you wore told of your royal background, the image of you was surprisingly domestic.

    “Wolffe, don’t make me take a nap alone,” You wined, “I don’t want to take a nap with anyone else in the galaxy except you,”

    “I know my place well enough to know who I can and can’t take naps with” He replied.

    “Wolffey don’t say that -you should know that any one would be lucky to take a nap with you,” You cooed with a faint, little smile,

    “Your funny princess,”

    You giggled again, liking how the word princess rolled off his tongue, “I know I am Wolffey. That’s why you always like it when I’m around,”

    “That’s one of the reasons,” He said before picking up your heels off the ground and sliding your feet into them. He then leaned in close to you and delicately tucked some of the same fallen hair strands behind your ear again.

    “You’re so pretty,” You whispered at him, “Much pretty than your brothers,”

    “Promise me you’ll tell them that next time you see them?” He asked with a grin. His brothers wouldn’t believe him otherwise.

    “I promise,” You lazily held up your pinky up towards him.

    He took your cue and interlocked yours with his. The two of you were so close you could both smell the blossom wine and Ryborean gax on each others’ lips. The two of you interlocked eyes, only looking at each other and forgetting about everything else. Just for a sobering moment, you weren’t a princess and he wasn’t a trooper.

    “Um,uh how about I take you back to your quarters?” He suggested in a low tone. The last thing he needed to be thinking about was a drunk princess running around the palace because she had tried to outdrink him.

    “But Wolffe,” You pleaded softly, wanting to stay.

    “What (Y/N)?”

    “You’re really handsome,” You pouted, “And we haven’t finished our bottle yet,”

    Both of your eyes drifted to the bottle of Ryborean gax sitting on the table a few mere inches away.

    In one swift motion, Wolffe stood up and grabbed the bottle. Raising it to lips before promptly finishing it off right in front of you. He chugged it down before pounding it back on the table like he was drinking at 79’s with his brothers instead of the royal gardens with you, “Finished your highness,”

    “You’re still handsome,” You uttered as if it was a problem.

    Wolffe moved to pick you up, carrying you in his arms, “I don’t think we can fix that problem tonight,”

    Your Highness Pt 1(Commander Wolffe x Royalty!Reader)

    Commander Wolffe x Princess!Reader, mentions of Rush Clovis x Princess!Reader

    Prologue

    Warnings: Mentions of death several times, the three A’s(Argument, Anger, and Angst)

    Concept art/inspo for Reader

    Gif and picture used for inspo are not mine! All credit goes to the wonderful creators!

    A/N: In writing pt 2 I realized I wanted to separate the original part one into a prologue and pt 1. So this is that... Thanks for dealing with my indecisiveness.

    “Your highness, are you sure that the scars of remembrance are appropriate for first meeting with your future husband?” One of your mother’s advisors caught you mid-walk to the gardens, pointing out your choice of makeup with a face of disapproval.

    “My brother just died and you ask me if I dare grieve his death?” You countered back with a raised eyebrow.

    She sighed, displeased with your response, but not surprised at all. She had become well acquainted with your fiery disposition over the years.

    “Well your highness, it is just that your mother believes that this is not the occasion to show those emotions. Royalty are expected to grieve privately for the sake of others, you know?”

    You could feel the anger boil in the pit of your stomach. Your nails digging into the palms of your clasped hands.

    “Ma’am,” You addressed her before growing tall to glare down at her, taking deep, firm breaths to control yourself, “I grieve for my brother and not for anyone else in this court,” You scoffed sharply, “I think our people will understand why I display my sadness,”

    For a moment, your mother’s advisor was as silent as the dead.

    “And for the record, I am going to meet with our visitor from the Jedi council and his men in the gardens. Not my husband,” You said before walking off. Leaving her with her mouth on the floor.

    “Your highness though,” She gasped in horror, “What will people think of you skipping out on your first meeting with your future husband for just some diplomat?”

    You paused and turned to her, choosing your next words carefully, “By blood, I am a public servant before I am a wife,”

    -----------------------------------

    You graced your way to the central courtyard of the gardens. Sure of yourself that you would have a better time in nature no matter who your company was, compared to standing on a landing platform, waiting for your future husband.

    In your gaze, you quickly spotted a man in white armor standing close to one of the planters. His helmet at his feet as he studied the barely blooming buds.

    The sounds of your heels clicking on the path announced your presence and he turned to you as soon as he heard them.

    The first thing you noticed when you gazed upon him was his eyes. One was the deep shade of brown that reminded you of the caf you drank every morning and the other was a beautiful shade of silver.

    “Your highness,” He greeted you in a pensive voice.

    “Hello,” You bowed, your eyes still curious choosing not to leave him, “Are you the Jedi my handmaidens told me about?”

    “No,” He shook his head, “Master Plo does send his regards and wished to meet you. But your father asked to go over the security details of your wedding with him. So I was sent in his place to meet with you. I hope that it is okay?”

    “Of course,” You nodded, hiding the distraught from the mention of your wedding that was so close, “And if you are not Master Plo, what do I call you?”

    “You can call me Wolffe, your highness,”

    “Just Wolffe?” You asked, clasping your hands in front of you.

    “Just Wolffe, your highness,” He confirmed.

    “Well then, just Wolffe, I would like it if you called me just (Y/N),” You smiled.

    “Can do, just (Y/N),” He returned the smile.

    You could almost giggle at the sound of it, liking the way it rolled off of his tongue. Somehow, it had been years since someone called you just by your first name. So much, it sounded almost foreign to you.

    Your name was never really yours. There was always a bigger attribute: your title. Your great grandfather sat on the throne so the title you were given was your grace. After he died it had become your excellency, and then as your father ruled it was always your highness. You knew eventually after you took the throne those words would turn into your majesty. While records may remember your name, it was possible you wouldn’t.

    “I saw you were looking at the flowers,” You said, pointing to the buds he had been previously looking at.

    “Yes, it’s not that often we visit a planet with flowers, nonetheless one with a garden,” He explained turning to them, “Most battlefields aren’t the prime area for them to grow,”

    “Hm, I guess that is one of the spoils of this war. Flowers have always brought a unique beauty into this world. It is sad to see that being taken away from our galaxy in such violence,”

    “Yes, I guess it is,” He agreed, not looking at the flowers. Instead he was admiring you, how the sunshine reflected off the apples of your cheeks instead.

    “This one right here is a century flower. It was my brother’s favorite,” You sighed, pointing to the silver flower that matched the color of Wolffe’s eye, “He had brought it back with him from the planet Thustra before the war started,”

    “No offense, but they look like they’ve seen better days,” The soldier confessed.

    “I am afraid to say that they have,” You had to admit, looking at the wilting leaves, “My brother took care of them like they were his pride and joy when he was home. But that’s- that’s um,”

    You started to blubber. You couldn’t find the word to finish. A rush of sadness overtook you and you had to turn away from the metallic petals. Even looking at them, you were reminded of him. For once you asked, why couldn't you just keep it together like everyone else in the palace? Wolffe was just a guest. He didn’t deserve to see this blubbering from you, a princess raised to be-.

    “Are you okay (Y/N)?” Wolffe turned to you and asked, his expression full of concern. He saw the intense agony that you were in just speaking about who he only knew as the former successor to the throne. Seeing you there, almost helpless to your heartache, his cold, military exterior melted a little.

    “Yes, I am,” You nodded, sniffing, trying to hold back tears, “It’s just that, well, you see, my brother, well he- I shouldn’t be on the throne- it’s just that he-”

    “I understand it’s hard. I’ve lost brothers to the war,” He replied, interrupting you.

    Your natural reaction to him interrupting you have been to scoff. If others had heard him in the palace he surely would’ve been punished for doing so. But you had to admit, for once, it felt almost nice to be interrupted by him. It wasn’t so much he was cutting you off. Instead, Wolffe was just giving voice to your grief and filling in your lost words that you had searched so long for.

    “Really? You have?” You asked with curiosity, wanting to know more.

    “Yes, thousands of brothers, a whole battalion and more,” He replied looking down at the buds with a newfound sadness for them.

    “If I may ask Wolffe, is it normal to feel like this after their deaths?” You look up, wiping your tears with the sleeve of your cloak, “Like all of this will never end?”

    “Like all of what will never end?” He asked back, tilting his head at you.

    “This hole that I’m falling down,” You tried to explain, “And it’s not so much that I am falling down it, but rather that I am falling alone,”

    Wolffe paused to think for a moment before responding, “(Y/N), you won’t fall forever,”

    “Really? How do you know?” You asked in a soft voice, “Because every time I try to save myself from falling further by trying to grab onto the side or screaming for help. The hole just gets deeper and bigger, and I just end up feeling more alone,”

    “Well, it can’t all be loneliness and falling? Right?” He asked back.

    “I don’t know Wolffe, I think it might be,” You chuckled with a tint of sadness to each breath.

    “Look (Y/N), I know I haven’t been here that long and that I have no expertise outside of anything that didn’t include a weapon. But what if this feeling is just your sorrow? And that eventually, your love for your brother will endure so much more than your sorrow,”

    You nodded your head, taking in his words for a moment, “Love enduring?” You repeated, dabbing away the last of your tears, “I like that,”

    “Your highness!” Anida yelled out as she ran towards you, “Your highness!”

    “Yes Anida, what is it?” You asked before catching her in your arms. You had never seen her in a disheveled state like this before.

    “You must come, now!” She breathed, “There is not a moment to waste!”

    “Why Anida? What is wrong?”

    “It is your father,”

    one attachment left in this galaxy pt. 3 (Captain Rex x Reader Soulmate!AU)

    Soulmate!AU: Captain Rex x F!Reader(no use of "Y/N")

    Prologue/Starter(Takes place a few years before on Kamino) || Part 1 || Part 2

    Costume inspo

    Gif and picture used for inspo are not mine! All credit goes to the fantastic creators!

    Warnings: No warnings just some fluff and a happy ending this time!

    A/N: Okay so I think this is the last part. I don’t really know how to continue this. I wrote this like a ton of times not happy with it, but I really like this version that gives a happy ending to the reader and Rex. I want to say thank you to everyone who even took the slightest interest in this, it means a lot.

    “Hey, come one! There’s a whole ‘nother exhibit past the gates up there and we haven’t even seen any of the west wing yet,” Rex tugged at your arm.

    “Just a minute,” You said, still taking in everything around you.

    “Come on, I promise we will come back this way,” Rex assured you as he pulled you along to the greenhouse room.

    “But Rex look-” You pointed at a flower you hadn’t seen yet.

    “It’ll be there when we come back this way,” He chuckled, seeing how everything you had looked at seemed so new to you.

    His heart melted a little as your hooded figure stumbled to keep up with him. Your eyes were trying to take in everything around you, even if that meant sacrificing some of your coordination.

    Rex couldn’t believe he was so nervous to bring you here. He thought taking you to one of the highest levels of Coruscant for your first time out of the Underworld was essentially throwing a wrench into your relationship. The only thing that made him stick to his plans was the fact that you were his soulmate. That hopefully, if everything he had heard about galactic soulmates was true, that it would be okay in the end.

    But now looking at you, he questioned why he hadn’t brought you here earlier.

    “Rex! Look at that one!” You uttered, leaning down to read the description plaque below it,  “It’s called a Rominaria flower and it’s from Naboo,”

    Rex mindlessly watched you read the description to him. He was waiting to show you the real reason he brought you here, knowing it was only a couple steps away. He could see it out of the corner of his eye, but he wasn’t willing to say anything yet. He would just a moment more.

    “I think the Rominaria flower is my new favorite,” You smiled up at him.

    “You’ve said that about every single one we’ve seen so far Mesh’la,” He laughed before pulling you towards him. The garden was empty enough to where he felt comfortable to sling his shoulder over yours. Once he did that, your arm looped around his back without a second thought.

    Rex liked holding you close like this. He could feel your warmth like a hug he never wanted to let go of, but he still had one arm free to protect you.

    “Yeah well, I liked all of them so far,” You hummed, “They’re all just really pretty, and just not what you would see in the Underworld,”

    “What about that one?” He pointed to a bundle of small blue flowers growing out of a small planter. He tried to hide the smirk crawling up on his face.

    You looked down to where he pointed, immediately recognizing them.

    “Rex, those are-” You gasped turning back to him, “Those are ours -those are our flowers! Those are our tattoos! Those are our soulmate marks!”

    “Yeah, they are,” He nodded, watching your reaction.

    “Did you know? Oh my gosh, they’re so beautiful,” You said before lifting up your mask and kissing him without a second thought.

    “Mesh’la,” He broke away, stunned by your action, “Your ma-”

    “It’s okay,” You beamed not bothered at all, placing your hands on his cheeks and pulling him in close before kissing him again, “I always wore it as protection, but with you I don’t need it,”

    “Really? You mean that?” Rex asked.

    “Yeah, the Underworld is a dangerous place and I thought protecting myself was going to be my only goal forever. But-

    “But what?”

    “But maybe if there’s more beauty like this in the galaxy, maybe I don’t constantly need to be protecting myself from it,” You said, running your hands over his head and down the nape of his neck, right over his tattoo

    “Do-do you mean you want to come up here more often?” He asked. His mind started racing with all the things you could do. Lunch at Dex’s Diner, a tour at the Galactic Museum, have you meet the rest of the 501st, maybe show you off at 79’s one night.

    “Yeah,” you nodded, “I want to see everything with you,”

    Rex almost choked on your words, “You really mean that?”.

    “Yeah, I mean always thought that the Underworld was my place and that I would miss it too much if I ever left because it was all I had ever known,” You said, “But now I don’t know,”.

    “And why is that?” He asked. The two of you were standing so close together he could feel your warm breath on his lips.

    “I’m not afraid to leave anymore, and I think that maybe my place isn’t in the underworld,”

    “Well if it’s not there, where else would it be?” Rex asked, liking the sound of every word that was coming out of your mouth.

    “I think maybe it’s with you,” You smiled, realizing this is what it meant to have a Soulmate.

    Dancing - Captain Rex

    Request: nope Pairing:  Captain Rex x reader Summary:  it’s been too long since you’ve had a dance partner Warnings: none Word count:  670 A/N: I watched tcw s5e16 today and I am ... in pain. I needed this. enjoy!

    ‘Rex?’ you say softly, looking up at him. He hums in response, not taking his eyes off the datapad in his hands.

    He’d come back from a mission a couple of hours ago and as usual, he made his way to your quarters to relax. You only wished he hadn’t taken the mission with him on a datapad.

    Rex insisted on going over everything that could have gone differently, always looking for ways to improve his skills. He always did it after completing a mission, even though you kept on assuring him his skills didn’t need further improvement.

    ‘Do you know how to dance?’ you ask him.

    Rex looks down at you laying with your head on his thighs, his eyebrows slightly raised.

    ‘I was trained for combat. I’m a soldier, not a dancer.’ he says.  ‘I used to dance.’ you say. ‘Really?’ says Rex, returning his attention to the datapad.

    ‘Yep.’ you say. ‘Sometimes I still do. It helps me take my mind off things. It would be nice to have a partner every now and then, though.’

    You look up at him, awaiting his reaction. But Rex only hums again, still looking at his datapad.

    ‘I said.’ you say determinedly. ‘It would be nice to have a partner.’

    ‘I don’t dance, sweetheart.’ is all Rex says.

    You sit up, nearly knocking the datapad out of his hands. You look at him with a pout. Rex looks at you and sighs.

    ‘I don’t dance.’ he says.

    You continue to look at him, slightly pouting more.

    ‘I never learned how to. Wasn’t exactly part of my training.’ he says.

    You tilt your head while remaining eye contact with him.

    ‘We don’t even have any music!’ Rex exclaims. ‘How are we even going to dance with no music? And stop looking at me like that, you know what you’re doing to me!’

    ‘I can hum a song for us!’ you say excitedly. You get up off the sofa and pull Rex with you.

    Rex rolls his eyes but can’t help but to smile as you pull him to the middle of the room. You’re way too excited to dance with him, you don’t notice him just standing there, waiting for you to do something.

    ‘Oh!’ you say. ‘Right! You don’t know what to do.’

    You grab a hold of his hands and put one on your waist. ‘This one goes here.’ you say. You put your hand on his shoulder and hold his hand in the other. ‘And now we just move to the rhythm of the song.’ you say and you start to hum a slow song.

    Rex looks at you as you’re humming the song and slowly moving your body to it. He’s a bit stiff at first, but after a while he falls into the rhythm as well, and it’s like he’s been dancing for years.

    You’ve closed your eyes, but Rex is still lovingly looking down at you. A part of him still can’t understand how someone like you ended up with someone like him, especially since there are literally thousands of others that look just like him.

    As you’re humming the song, you slowly moved closer to Rex. Your toes are touching and your head is almost touching his chest, inching closer and closer.

    Rex closes his eyes and right after it, he feels your head against his chest. He rests his chin on your head with a faint smile on his lips.

    The two of you continue to sway to song after song until you finally stop humming. You pull your head away from his chest to look at him. You smile at him and Rex leans in to kiss your forehead.

    ‘That was nice.’ he murmurs. ‘It was, wasn’t it?’ you say. ‘We should do it again sometimes.’ says Rex.

    You smirk at him. ‘Thought you didn’t dance? That it wasn’t part of your training?’ you say.

    ‘It is now.’ says Rex. ‘Can’t wait for our next session, General.’

    ‘Likewise, my Captain.’

    One attachment left in the galaxy pt.2 (Captain Rex x Reader Soulmate!AU)

    Soulmate!AU: Captain Rex x F!Reader(no use of "Y/N") and mentions of Platonic!Reader and Fives

    Prologue/Starter(Takes place a few years before on Kamino) || Part 1

    Costume inspo

    Gif and picture used for inspo are not mine! All credit goes to the fantastic creators!

    Warning: The three A’s (Argument, Angst, and Anger), Drinking

    A/N: Hey, I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who interacted with part 1 and enjoyed it(it means the world to me!). I did the same thing with part one by linking articles from wookiepedia. It helps me connect the writing to the star wars universe and not let the AU be the only singular focus of the story(if you don’t like it just let me know and I’ll take it out). Anyways, I hope if you have read this far that you like the fic and I wish you best!

    Rex took another sip of his Zairona Ale. It was probably the most expensive liquid he had ever drank, so he thought it was best for it not to go to waste.

    You had offered him a bottle as soon as he stepped into your apartment. It had been three weeks and a mission to the mid-rim since you had last seen him, or well, since you had first met him. You thought him surviving was reason enough to celebrate. So you pulled out a case of the ale from underneath your bed. It had been there since you had smuggled it in from the outer rim, having saved it for a special occasion like this.

    He was already almost two bottles in before you told him how much they would fetch on the black market.

    Rex almost choked upon hearing the price. The one case that you had stored under your bed was probably worth more than the process of creating and training a whole clone platoon.

    “I didn’t think I had a soulmate even after the Kaminoans told me I had one. Nonetheless that you would be a criminal,” He said, rubbing his fingers over the label of his bottle right where it said: ILLEGAL IN THE GALACTIC REPUBLIC TERRITORIES AND SYSTEMS

    “How do you think I feel about having my soul intertwined with someone who could have me executed with a phone call to your general?” You asked back, putting your feet up on your coffee table, right next to some counterfeit credits.

    “No, I wouldn’t do that,” He replied.

    You furrowed your eyebrows with doubt at him.

    “Oh really captain of the 501st legion?” You asked, teasing him, “I’m sure you would get promoted to commander for turning me in,”

    “Maybe, but as much as I might want to be a commander, Fives would miss you too much if you were arrested. And I fear that trooper’s unchecked wrath more than I want a promotion,” He softly chuckled, although he had a point. If Fives ever found out he was the reason you got arrested, the ARC trooper wouldn’t be afraid to rain hell down on his superior.

    You laughed a little too, “I don’t know if he would miss me, but he would certainly miss Mister Al'verde,” You said, rubbing the spot in between your loth-cat’s ears.

    Your cat let out a long purr as your fingers hit just the right spot before flipping onto his back to show his belly to you.

    “I still can’t believe you named your cat Al'verde,” He shook his head, “You do know that means commander in mando’a?”

    “It’s Mister Al’verde” You clarified, “And technically Fives named him,”

    “That’s might be even worse,”

    “I’d be careful what you say, Mister Al’verde technically outranks you,” Your lips pursed as you rubbed your cat’s belly.

    Rex rolled his eyes.

    “Yeah? Well I’d like to see him hold his own against a wave of droids,” He huffed under his breath.

    “He does a pretty good job at keeping the rats at bay,”You insisted. That’s why you had gotten him in the first place.

    “Yeah, well, if you like him so much maybe the force should have made him your soulmate,” He grumbled.

    “Rex, I’m joking,” You tried to get his attention, scooting closer to him, “You’re a good soldier Rex, much better than Mister Al’verde could ever dream of becoming,”

    You saw the hints of frustration that he was trying to hide as he crossed his arms against his chest, his head tucked down and he refused to look at you.

    On queue, the four-legged cat came strolling by, already noticing the lack of belly rub. He made his way onto Rex’s lap, snuggling into the dip between Rex’s legs, before exposing his belly up towards the trooper.

    “Do you think I could be more than a clo-trooper?” He asked softly, his eyes wide staring down at the creature laying on his legs. He slowly lowered his hands down onto Mister Al’verde’s fur. He was careful of every little movement he made as if he, a GAR veteran captain, had reason to fear your kitten that was sometimes scared of his own tail.

    “Yeah I do,” You replied, running your hands through his hair, occasionally rubbing the tattoo on the nape of his neck, “Why do you ask?”

    “I don’t know, it’s just that -actually forget about it. It’s stupid anyways,” The tone of his voice changed and he brushed your hands off.

    “Rex, whatever it is it’s not stupid-”

    “No, it is,” He replied sternly, seemingly getting more annoyed by the moment, “I’m a clone, I’m a trooper, and this war is what I was meant to do. It’s my only purpose and my only loyalty,”

    “Rex-” You called out, confused by his sudden change of behavior.

    “What are you gonna say? Huh? That I’m not a clone, that I’m not some property of the Republic? That I wasn’t made in a test tube?” He cut you off, “I know we’ve only known each other for a little bit but don’t give me some speech that should be said in front of those bureaucrats in the Senate, because I’ve heard enough of it,”

    “Rex,”

    “What!” He spat.

    “Calm down,” You breathed, you placed your hand on one of his shoulders “You’re scaring them,” You pointed to Mister Al’verde who had jumped off Rex’s lap and crawled behind Ad'ika, your now-wide awake, shaking vulptex.

    He looked down at them, realizing the emotional state they were in “I’m sorry, it’s just that, well, you know,”

    “No, I don’t know Rex,” You shook your head, “What’s this sudden change of mood?”

    “Well, it’s just that, you deserved better than me,” He mumbled quietly.

     Although he hadn’t really thought about it before meeting you, he realized he was very much more replaceable as a soulmate compared to you.

    He looked at you and saw a future he wanted, but every time he looked in the mirror he saw a face that he thought was so replaceable. He was just one out of a million clones with the same face. It wouldn’t take much except some bleach for you to replace him.

    “Rex don’t say that,”

    “Come on, you know it’s true,” He insisted, “Who out of the two of us has over ten million people who are an exact carbon copy?”

    “Rex-”

    “If it wasn’t for the blond hair you would lose track of me on a GAR base,” He sneered a little, “There’s a reason they give us numbers and not names,”

    “Rex don’t talk like that, yes, you are a part of the GAR and you might have a countless number of brothers. But that doesn’t mean that’s all you are,” You promised, “That’s not what you are to me,”

    “Yeah, but that’s just because we have some matching tattoos,” He replied, brushing off your comment.

    “Even if you weren’t my soulmate, I would want you to know that when I look at you, I just see you. I don’t see anyone else,” You wrapped your arms around him.

    His look changed, somewhat dumbfounded at your words.

    “You mean you don’t care that I’m a trooper, or that I’m a clone?” He asked, more than a little skeptical of your promise.

    “Not at all,” You replied, shaking your head.

    “But that’s how everyone else sees me,” He replied because that’s all he had ever known. It was how everyone else saw the clone army in general. Why were you so different?

     “While the people in the senate and in the war may see you that way, those people don’t represent all of the interests in the galaxy. The galaxy is a lot bigger than just some war. And I believe you can be a lot more than just some soldier,”

    “You really think that?”

    “Yeah,” You smiled.

    He hadn’t realized how close you had gotten to him. The tips of your noses were practically touching and he could feel your delicate breath on his chin.

    Suddenly, you pulled him in. Your hand drawing up to his cheek, pulling him towards you. Your lips meeting him halfway.

    His heart fluttered twice as fast as he tried to stay in the moment. Not letting himself forget one second of this. The feeling of happiness was greater than any victory he had ever had against the Separtist. He tried hard not to lose focus, but found himself smiling against your lips as you continued to kiss him. And then suddenly, it dawned on him.

    This is what it felt like to have a soulmate.

    Your Highness Prologue (Commander Wolffe x Princess!Reader)

    Commander Wolffe x Princess!Reader, mentions of Rush Clovis x Princess!Reader(but we're not gonna dive too much into that one because yuck!)

    Warnings: Mentions of death several times, mentions of violence and war, and the three A's(Argument, Anger and Angst)

    Costume inspo for reader

    Gif and picture used for inspo are not mine! All credit goes to the wonderful creators!

    A/N 2.0: Okay so I was re-reading this in writing part 2. I realized that I wanted to format the story to include a prologue with no interactions between the reader and Wolffe till pt.1.

    A/N: Okay I posted this a couple days ago but didn't really like it all that much. So I reedited it and reformatted it, just tweaking some stuff.

    Orignal A/N: So this was a rewritten version of the soulmate!AU and I thought it fit better with Wolffe than it did Rex, so here we are. Most of the Wolffe x Reader is towards the end. Also there is an open ending for a pt 2 because I found it impossible to end this on a high note and include all the elements I wanted(so let me know if you want a part 2!). Anyways, I am always open to feedback(and requests if you like my writing) or if you just wanna talk

    “Your highness, I have a list of prospective suitors that you may want to have a look at!” One of your mother’s advisors came running down the halls in haste towards you.

    You quickly turned away from them, using your sleeve to wipe away any tears before they could criticize you for crying in the palace halls.

    The only way you could give voice to your grief as you had learned within the past couple of days, was in private. Everyone else in the Royal Court had  seemingly moved on, unmoved by the tragedy that had afflicted your family and your blood line.

    Your brother’s body was probably still warm. But, everyone you thought might have expressed some emotion had seemingly moved on without a second thought. Their priority had shifted towards you and your new role. The one that previously belonged to your brother.

    You were to take his place as the successor to the throne and the only person who could produce the next royal heir. Every conversation about your passed brother quickly turned to a debacle of responsibilities and duties you would have to prepare to take on. Or they would bring up the worst topic of  your future husband.

    “Just choose whoever my parents will like best,” You replied, looking out of the closest windows. Trying your best to hide hopelessness in your voice.

    “Yes your highness, right away. Also your mother has requested for a fitting in two days,” He responded, “She chose a boutique in the fashion district and already has some dresses she liked put aside for you to try,”

    You closed your eyes so you could roll them in private. Of course your mother would be the one to have already scheduled a fitting for a dress. Nonetheless the same day as your brother’s body was supposed to be transported back to lay in the palace throne room.

    Your brother, whose life had been taken in violence due to the war and as a result had caused you to be losing yours. When he was alive, you were second-in-line to the throne. Sitting behind him and your father who ruled sick from his bed. Then, even though you were only one spot behind where you were now in succession to the throne, you had much more control over your life. It was a  freedom you didn’t even bother to notice until it was gone along with your sibling.

    There was an assumption that you would never rule. That it would never come to that.

    Your brother was more than prepared to take on the crown. He was always the calm of the sea while you were the ocean’s hurricane. He was perfectly groomed to take the throne. While you dug your feet into the ground and slung a line of curses at your mother when she forced you to do anything diplomatic.

    Your brother was primed to be married after he returned from the war. Your mother already had a slew of women picked out. Together they would produce multiple heirs. Therefore, pushing you down the line with every future prince or princess born so that ultimately you would never sit on the throne.

    Yet, that idea became a fantasy when he was killed by Separatist forces and you had your life robbed away. You looked to the future and thought it would be impossible to enjoy your last nights of freedom before you were to be married to someone not for love but for your newfound duty to your people.

    -----------------------------------

    “Your highness, Senator Rush Clovis’s ship is scheduled to land any moment now. Would you like to meet him at the landing pad?” Your handmaiden informed you, walking in with several others, all in the same outfit. They all had a section of your outfit for that day in their hands. Everything from the necklace you would wear to the laces on your corset.

    “No,” You simply replied to her as you dotted your cheeks with red, “I’ll greet him at dinner tonight,”

    You knew your mother would be furious at your decision. A betrothed not meeting her future husband upon his arrival was unheard in your culture. But now that you were next in line to the throne, by law, you technically outranked her, the queen consort.

    You were also still resentful of the decision your parents had made. When you were grieving and thought it would be best to leave it up to your parents to decide who was to be your future husband, you didn’t think they would choose an outsider.

     Your father originally had proposed that one of the young men of royal status such as a Duke would be a good fit. But, your mother had argued that an alliance through marriage to senator of Scipio was far more beneficial and the rest of the royal court agreed.

    You hadn’t realized he was the one senator that Padme Amidala had repeatedly told you to stay away from until the ring was on your finger.

    “Yes your highness, I will inform the royal court of your decision, and um -also you should know- that, um,” She started stuttering in a low voice.

    “Anida” You sat up, addressing your handmaiden, looking at her through the reflection of your mirror, “I’ve known you far longer than anyone else in the royal court and I trust you immensely. You can speak freely in front of me,”

    “Yes your highness, It’s just that -well, the senator just informed the royal court that he requested additional security for you from the Grand Army of the Republic, at least until your wedding, possibly even longer,” She explained.

    “I don’t need additional security. I don’t want my people to fear me,” You replied before lining your top lip with red.

    “I’m afraid the Jedi and his men have already arrived and landed, ahead of your future husband.”

    You almost grimaced at the word, husband. Just the thought of your marriage reminded you of your impending future. But, you remained regal and pushed your frustrations down, taking in a deep breath instead.

    “Did my parents approve of this extra security?” You asked, really only concerned with your father’s approval because he outranked you. And also, he, unlike your brother, had chosen for your people to remain neutral at the beginning of the war. You knew the presence of a  jedi and GAR troopers would most certainly eliminate the idea that you were a neutral planet and convey the message that he was now willing to open negotiations with the Republic.

    “They did in fact agree with him, your highness. They thought the senator was right in his choice for this extra protection,” She said as she placed a layer of necklaces on your shoulder and sealing the clasp.

    “Okay then, will you please have the guest suites made up then? I would hate for them to have to stay in the barracks far away from the city,” You requested before putting a final red narrow line down the center of your lips.

    “Of course your highness,”

    “I would also like to meet this jedi, and his men,” You expressed with curiosity, as Anida wrapped a cloak over you and another handmaiden put the final touches on your hair, “Could you have them meet me in the palace gardens in twenty minutes?”

    This is for @redkyubii , who requested this prompt! I hope you like it!

    Obi-Wan Kenobi x Anakin Skywalker

    [sfw | cheating | hurt and comfort | angst and fluff | living together | Obi-Wan/Cody mentioned | Padmé/Anakin past relationship mentioned]

    When he had first found out, Anakin had been at a loss of words. In his mind, Obi-Wan wasn't the type to do things typically seen as 'bad'; wasn't the type to break any rule. Frankly said, Obi-Wan wasn't the type he would have ever suspected of cheating.

    But now, he had no choice but to believe it. It wasn't like he had heard rumours - no, rumours he could've doubted, could've believed they just wanted to ruin their relationship by sowing seeds of doubt and distrust -, but he had seen Obi-Wan and Cody make out, had seen Obi-Wan grind against Cody's thigh, and as much as he wished to believe that it had been a dream, a misunderstanding - he just couldn't deny the truth any longer.

    So that night, when Obi-Wan would finally come home, he intended to be gone. With that in mind, he began packing up some things he couldn't just leave behind - which didn't take long. Jedi weren't meant to have personal belongings, and therefore, he left the apartment with nothing but his lightsaber, obviously, and with R2 following him.

    He had left a note on the kitchen table; the place seemed fitting, since the oak table had been the only piece of furniture he had crafted himself, as a gift to Obi-Wan some time back. It was sturdy and the wood was of a light brown, almost ginger colour that had reminded him of Obi-Wan's hair when he had first seen it. Leaving the note just there felt bittersweet now. “I'm at Padmé's”, was all he had written down, no sentiments, no “will be back soon :)”.

    The flight to Naboo didn't take all too long; perhaps because he knew the way well after making the journey from Coruscant for who-knows-how many times. Padmé welcomed him with open arms and a warm smile, and as she hugged him enthusiastically, she smelled like flowers and cinnamon, like home. For a second, he missed the time where they had been a couple.

    However, with how secret they had to keep their relationship, it would've never worked out. Keeping his relationship status secret was easier with Obi-Wan; they were former master and padawan, therefore it wasn't easy for others to differentiate between brotherly and romantic love.

    As she always had, Padmé immediately knew something was wrong the second Anakin tried to smile at her. She had always known him too well; better than others ever could. Better than Obi-Wan? He didn't want to know the answer to that question.

    Then, he told her everything. Starting with Obi-Wan's and his relationship - interestingly enough, she didn't seem all that surprised -, to how he had found out about Cody and Obi-Wan.

    Anakin had almost wished for Padmé to say something soothing, something similar to: “Oh, Ani, you must've gotten this all wrong. On Coruscant, that's just a gesture between friends. Good colleagues grind on each others thighs and shove their tongues into their throats, that's just how it is here. You couldn't have known, you grew up on Tatooine, after all.”

    However, she didn't. She nodded, grimly, and that was how he came to spend multiple weeks in a guests room of the Naboolian Palace. The war was far from over, but surprisingly enough, the Council chose other Jedi for missions he usually would've gotten. Perhaps, he thought, Master Yoda could feel just how many negative emotions were clouding his mind, even after multiple weeks away from Obi-Wan.

    Obi-Wan had tried to contact him through their comlink multiple times daily, and it had only ended as Anakin crushed the small device with the force until it was nothing but mere scraps of metal. Then, for another week or so, he had heard nothing of Obi-Wan or any other Jedi anymore. He was sure Ahsoka was either annoyed at him, or sick with sorrow.

    Then, one day, Padmé suddenly entered his room and announced that they had a visitor - Obi-Wan, obviously, who demanded to see Anakin. “Padmé, I don't want to see him. Tell him to leave.” Anakin knew just how childish he was being, especially because he couldn't hide from Obi-Wan forever, but he couldn't imagine having that talk right now; that talk being Obi-Wan telling him how Cody was better than him, how he sadly wasn't able to love Anakin - a former slave, he noted, bitterness filling his mouth at the thought - properly anymore.

    “Ani, please. He seemed worried, honestly. At least tell him you're alright and want to stay here”, Padmé pleaded, and Anakin had never been good at denying her anything - therefore, he found himself face to face with Obi-Wan a few minutes later.

    Anakin wanted to be the first person to say something, wanted to let out a snarky and unnecessary mean comment, but this time, his loose tongue failed him. His mouth felt as dry as the desert on Tatooine. Alright, maybe a little less. Nothing was quite as dry as Tatooine.

    Apparently, saying something would've been the wrong response anyway, because Obi-Wan went straight in for a hug and wrapped his arms around him. For a second, Anakin relaxed in the embrace, thought about how good Obi-Wan smelled, how warm he was, how safe he made him feel.

    Then, his mind provided him with the helpful information that Cody must've been in his arms the same way. He bit his lip, hard enough for it to start bleeding. “Anakin, by the stars, I was worried about you. You could've left me a bit more of a goodbye than just that note, you know?”

    Obi-Wan's tone was joking, teasing, almost. Anakin loathed it with every fiber of his being. “Sorry”, he replied, and didn't sound sorry at all, “didn't think you'd care enough, seeing how you were busy and all that.”

    At that, Obi-Wan pulled away, and Anakin could see how his gaze softened, how his brows furrowed just a little. “Anakin, I know what you saw. Well, I don't know exactly, but I can imagine.” He sighed and massaged his temples with one hand. “I'm sorry, Anakin. Alright? I promise, it was a one of a time thing. I don't love him, if that's what you're worried about. I was drunk, and one thing led to another.”

    Anakin's eyes narrowed, but he let him continue, not interrupting for now. Obi-Wan picked his sentence up again. “I truly regret it, I can promise you that, beloved. And I can do nothing but swear by the Force that it will never happen again. I missed you during the time you were here, you know? I believe I only know now how much I truly love you.”

    And even though Anakin still had his arms crossed, effectively creating a protective barrier between them, he could feel his defences crumbling. “Do you, though?” His voice cracked. “You don't need to lie. Just tell me if you don't love me anymore.”

    Then, Obi-Wan's hand was on his cheek, caressing it lightly, and Anakin forced himself not to instinctively flinch. After years, he still wasn't entirely used to physical contact. It was what war did to a man, but it was also the result of growing up as a slave with too much untreated trauma. Sometimes, it just all seemed to pile up.

    “I love you, Anakin. I realised again just how much I do. Please, come back home with me. Alright?” And Obi-Wan's face lit up with his perfect smile, all straight and white teeth, and Anakin found himself nodding, even if he still was a little hesitant. “Alright. But just know that you have a lot to make up to me.”

    He wasn't sure himself if he was joking, but Obi-Wan nodded nonetheless, smile on his face widening. “For you, Anakin, the world.”

    sangheili jedi are like. arguably really fuckin cool but honestly the lekgolo and the jedi having a symbiotic relationship with one another is like. such an absolutely fascinating concept to me. it’s really easy to translate the lekgolo’s neural net/hive mind structure into something involving the force, and that connection/bond with the force & and each other being something the jedi learn from. the more lekgolo in a colony, the more intelligent/sentient it is, and that’s such a unique kind of harmony with each other that the jedi would be very interested in. so what started out ages ago as pilgrimages to meditate on the moon of te that the lekgolo call home evolves into many lekgolo living in temples.

    so you have jedi temples that are just like. full of eels. passages and corridors with little side tubes and tunnels where the lekgolo swim around freely and just kinda vibe. part of the duties of other, non-lekgolo guardians and custodians include making sure the needs of the lekgolo are met. younglings in the creche get in trouble for giving food they don’t like to lekgolo. masters mediate in the pools where the lekgolo coalesce. all in all it’s very chill. as guardians of the temples the lekgolo only really gestalt in times of emergencies, and with the golden age there are really only a few incidents where a gestalt has ever been seen. so as far as any non-jedi really know, the jedi just really like eels. and yeah there are some old stories about how the jedi had these massive, terrifying guardians but those are just. old stories.

    until like, cad bane breaks into the jedi temple and gets fucking obliterated by a  pair of nine-foot, 5-ton behemoths clad in lightsaber-resistant armor and giant fucking arm cannons. and that’s just the beginning of the shit they can do.

    #halo#star wars#tcw #could you imagine order 66 but it's a bunch of clones #ragdolling that way you do #when you get curbstomped by a hunter in halo #the covenant put eels in everything i s2g #scarab? full of eels. #harvester? full of eels #eel-powered everything BAYBEE #not art tbh

    im absolutely OBSESSED with the clones in the empire era. theres great angst possibilities yes yes but. imagine the COMEDY. what if you’re a clone in the 501st and things are pretty much exactly the same for you now as they were twenty years ago except for a) that brief interlude with all the murder and b) the fact that your commanding officer is a foot taller than he used to be and no longer has a sense of humor. vader is over to the side strangling an admiral to death with magic while cody and bow, center stage, are trying to solve the great mystery of WHO in the WORLD submitted requisition form IG-286-17-b incorrectly. again.

    #darth vader#anakin skywalker#commander cody#commander bow#star wars #just. PLEASE imagine all the wackiest subplots of tcw still happening bc yes everyone is living in a fascist empire ruled by an evil wizard #but. that's not actually substantially different than it was before; if you think about it #im assuming the 212th remnants got folded into the 501st bc so many of the 501st troopers are uh. dead #and palpatine would LOVE to hand vader kenobi's old subordinates. see if any of them survive the first week #b4 they die for the crime of 'accidentally remind vader kenobi ever existed'
