Yeah. This is going to piss off a lot of IDW TMNT fans off and probably a lot of Sophie Campbell fans as well but... Mark Pellegrini, the blog master of TMNT Entity points out a lot of the problems which I have with Jennika and the direction which Sophie Campbell has taken the series by turning it into a slice of life genre which doesn't fit TMNT at all.

Look... I am not denying that Jennika is a popular character but then again, so was Venus De Milo when she debuted. But I feel like she's a very bland and boring character who stole the title from the brothers. She can be redeemed and made an interesting character under a different writer who can make her compelling.

But... I fear that what Mark Pellegrini says here ultimate might be the path already laid out for the future of the book under the direction of Sophie Campbell.

A year ago today, 52-year-old Rebacca Greenwood of Hermitage, Tennessee called 911 to report that her 14-year-old son, Sayeed Neilson, who was on the autism spectrum, appeared to be dead. At first, Becky and her older son, 33-year-old David Matheny, told investigators that Sayeed fell in the shower the day before, but his injuries did not match their story. After taking both in for questioning, David admitted that he and his younger half-brother had tussled. Becky told police she had watched as David punched and kicked Sayeed and "stomped on his head," and she claimed she told David to stop but walked away before seeing if David complied.

Both Becky and David were arrested just after midnight on October 24, 2020. Both have been charged with first degree murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect, and two counts of tampering with evidence; for some reason, Becky faces an additional charge of aggravated assault, but David does not. Their next court date is scheduled for 9:00 AM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. 

Sayeed was a kind, loving, gentle boy who adored his dog, making people laugh, Star Wars, and Halloween.
