I scuffed my Telfar at the skatepark but luckily I literally paint leather for a living and I covered it perfectly like how they did the ANDY on Woody’s boot in Toy Story 2
Telfar X White Castle Collab
What does fashion and a fast food chain have in common? Clearly their impact on pop culture as well as their ability to service that culture well into the wee hours of the night/morning. So when news dropped that Telfar was tapped to revive White Castle’s uniforms for their 100th Birthday celebration, I didn’t bulk at the announcement. In fact it appears that this is a case of life imitating art. This story made me think about that pivotal moment in “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead”, when Christina Applegate redesigns the restaurant and Clown Dog uniforms to save General Appear West.
Continuing the partnership /friendship that started in 2015 Telfar was recently asked to revive White Castle uniforms for it’s 10,000 employees. Employee uniforms will consist of t-shirts, polos, aprons, visors and durags in light blue, royal blue and black. Each piece will feature the White Castle brand name and reference this milestone with the wording “100 years and counting”.
To further promote the changes made employees were photographed in Queens, NY by Elliott Jerome Brown, Jr and a limited edition White Castle X Telfar collection will be released. This collection will include hats, hoodies and t-shirts that will hold a mashup of both brand’s logo. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition will be donated to the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Liberty & Justice Fund which provides bail to imprisoned minors.
took a lil break, now I’m back to me.
