Winter 13, year 2, of the Rune Factory QuarenReplay;
Danaan Cave was finished with only minor difficulty; again, the Star Saber proves too much for the fauna in the cave. The only delays came from having to grow crops again (which a sleeping bag helped speed up nicely), and then an incident where I saved my emulator state with the Tank Fight already started.... without a weapon that has no base magic charge.
And no food.
And no potions.
And a third of my health already gone.
And at one point I fell asleep on my keyboard.
Thank goodness for my upgraded axe, which did good damage, and allowed me to defeat the tank with patient, careful strikes. When will I ever learn and make a different weapon for that fight? Apparently, gonna take more than 15 years.
I'm actually kind of sad that I'm here. One dungeon left, one dragon to beat, and this game is over. (Well, save for my goal of romancing Lynette in post game.) Of course, I can always replay it, and I know I will- I usually replay it every year, two years. But. Always bittersweet. For all its simplicity and flaws, this is by far my favorite game.
Onto Greed- who knows, I may be starting RF2 or Frontier tomorrow!
