I got the urge to make devotional art of Loki during my bike ride today, and got this strong image of Loki with coal-black eyes
Loki, my beautiful scarlipped one. The majestic fox that scurries to and fro, dancing upon liminality like a stage. You? You are a little shit and I love you so much.
“Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.”
-1 Peter 5:8
every day he rises, and every day he falls. is there anything more dependable?
pen to page to energy to heart, wrap your ribs in words to keep them warm at night.
a lone marigold grows between the cracks in the sidewalk.
the sky falls and the clouds fade, you whisper has anything ever been this lovely?
your socks are yellow. do not forget that.
even when artemis rules the sky he is shining through each star.
go to him for comfort, for inspiration. he heals sick and feeds hungry, asks for nothing in return.
the beams fall on his face and turn his irises to liquid honey. what majesty is this?

“We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”
Isaiah 64:6 ESV
Luella notice that the smell seeping out of the garbage can was beyond bearable. Her husband had forgotten to take it to the curb, so they would have to deal with a few more days of the smothering stench of trash in the summer heat. Oy! Then Luella got an idea. She had some perfume she no longer wore, so she opened the bottle and poured the sweet liquid all over the garbage. What a fix. Later, Luella went back out in the garage and winced. The perfume hadn’t covered up the stench but had only compounded it!
And so it goes with our good deeds. In Isaiah we read, “All our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.” We think our deeds are noble, but many times something less noble is hidden behind them, such as motivation that are infused with self rather than service. Even as followers of Christ, we are ever in need of help, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement. We are a needy people, so how wonderful it is that our Lord is a giving God!
Lord, when I do good works in Your name, may I have a servant’s heart. Amen.
Hm. People please figure out that just bc you work for a company that treats you well doesn’t mean you have to treat that business like a family member aksks

This is a fast paced go-go world. We’re always moving to the next thing as fast as we can. Once you get the newest iPhone in August, you’re getting another new one for Christmas. You start renting an apartment, you’re already looking at better apartments on the other side of town. We wish for something and then when we get it, we don’t stop to enjoy it. We just start wishing for the next item on our wish list. God blesses us daily starting from when we wake up to when we lay our heads down out night. We need to stop, pause, and appreciate what He has done for us. We need to really reflect on it and how it has changed our lives instead of coveting other things in the future. What is for you, God will bestow upon you as a blessing. All we can do is wait for Him. He already has everything mapped up perfectly and He is ensuring the victory for His glory and our good. Current blessings may not seem as great once we get them, but once upon a time, they were exactly what we wanted. They were what we prayed ceaselessly to God for. They aligned with His plan and He gave them to us. If we don’t stop to love them, then what was it all for? It’s like someone giving you a gift, you play with is for 10 seconds, and then throw it in the trash because you want the newer version. The person giving you that gift is going to feel really bad and they’re not likely to give you anything else you ask for. Don’t turn your nose up at what God has given you. If you do, you’re blocking future blessings. Blessings to you!
I kind of love the idea that one way or another Jamie found a way to remain at the manor after Dani became the lady of the lake. That somehow they could still be together anyway.
