I was reading along in House of Dragons (I’m almost done, Whoop whoop!) and they said that Aufidius, the most elite of dragons, has a forty-foot wingspan. Naturally I have my sister google Toothless’ and guess what his is? Forty-FIVE feet wingspan. Night furies really are the superior dragon, guys.
i wish httyd whump authors were as creative with Toothless as they are with Hiccup.

i love how diverse Hiccup whump is, i love how unique and interesting the prompts are. but seriously, where is Toothless whump? the fandom seems to forget that he's not made of steel.
you give me plenty of Hiccup struggling with phantom pain, lemme see Toothless having one as well. he lost a body part too, yet fics like this are so rare.
you give me Hiccup being traumatised and terrified of water after nearly drowning in Dire Straits episode. i've seen a couple of fics about it. but what about Toothless getting panic attacks every time the boys almost crash land, because of the memory of being shot down coming back?
you give me tons of angst fics about Hiccup's first days with his prosthetic leg. but imagine all the angst potential in the moment when Toothless discovered that his tailfin is gone? he's so helpless, so alone.
i just can't mentally deal with the fact that Toothless never gets hurt. i just can't.
