Hi!

Week 1 is complete. This week I wrote my proposal to make sure the objectives and outcomes of this project are clear. I went over my previous proposals and I was surprised how much my project had developed. Each module from my Master’s sought to develop my game idea. I knew I had improved and adapted but it was interesting to see. It gave me a little confidence boost.

My vision is clearer and I know what I need to do. The time has come to create the timeline of work. This is always challenging for me because I tend to go too big and then get overwhelmed with the workload. Next week I will be focusing on the scenes for Unity. The best way to show this is through storyboards.

Whoa buddy, we just got our development environment setup and we compiled an app that runs on the Quest. The world is ours now, heh. It;’s a first step, and we barely did anything but set stuff up, but like, now that we know we can do some stuff, we’re gonna be doing some stuff.

Ordered a mount so that we can stick the Leap Motion to our headset. Going to program some custom hand gestures and interfaces and such. It’s going to be Augmented Reality-esque inside of Virtual Reality, with the hopes that when AR devices become more of a thing, we’ll be able to port it over.

We’ve got a voice changer thing too, gonna play around with that cause, you know, the way we look in VR can help us feel more us, why wouldn’t changing our voice too? As we’re tracking who’s out at any given moment, why not tie that to a voice changer on top of different UI elements and appearance and so on.

And speaking of tracking, we need to get back on that.

Man, we have so much stuff we want to do, it’s kinda wild.
