Game Review
When I encountered this story, I was skeptical, but I heard it was done by Sam Barlow, so I jumped on ahead and watched the whole goddang thing.
TL;DR - Her Story is much better in its usage of the mechanics and the story.
But if you enjoyed Her Story and wants to take a deeper dive into the narrative side of thing. Go look at this game, because this game is a doozy.
The game is about man named David, and I was uncomfortable throughout the game because of it, and he just stumbles around until he falls in his body.
I mean he sounds cool/evil, an undercover agent trying to incriminate eco-terrorist, but he’s bad. Like he’s only thinks in near-term and way too pumped for justice. (In D&D term, he’s an annoying paladin, who harms rather than heal)
Which he goes too deep have a love child and talk therapy with a cam girl and then just gets too deep into it? Like, seriously, find a different place.
Whole thing is a mess. But there’s a lot of fun to be had. There’s an Oscar Movie vibe, because even though the story has no relation, there’s this theme of telling narratives like there’s the bedtime stories and playing with dolls. Sexual fantasies and movie nights, a concert, and Maxine is really about telling stories.
Also like ‘subtle’ hint of the characters. We have Emma, which has a sense of arrested development, and goes through her own bildungsroman. Then we have Ava, which definitely goes through her bildungsroman, but like Ava is like the first half and Emma is the second half? And Maxine as the judge, which is implied a few times in the stories. Her stories and advice is there to entice, but also to satistise him a bit, which is nice that a sex worker gets that role.
Seriously, though, who knows Maxine’s stories are true or false, although we can guess a hint, but I just how she’s the most downtrodden and the most bright.
Other than that, it’s a fun sad romp. Watch someone else play. Enjoy the story.

1Aladdin 2019 Interactive Story
Dear Series: Your Universe
I love how you’re able to take existing universes and let us create characters that interact with already existing worlds, such as The Breakfast Club, Saved By The Bell, and Xena (the last one being the only one I haven’t played yet). I enjoyed Saved By The Bell, despite my only knowledge of the show coming from the YouTube series Zack Morris is Trash. I also enjoyed hanging out with The Breakfast Club and reading BloodRoseRed’s fanfic for your interactive story. What I love most is that you can romance characters that already have established love interests, such as Bender and Andrew in The Breakfast Club and Zack and Slader in Saved By The Bell. However, what I’d love to see most is an interactive story set in the Aladdin live-action universe where you can be a citizen of Agrabah and interact with the characters. You can choose whether you can side with Aladdin or Jafar, learn magic and have romance options with the characters. Ask Disney if they’ll let you make this a reality. I, for one, plan on becoming a sorceress and not only siding with, but also romancing Jafar. I type this on TUMBLR because I’m too much of a coward to actually send this to Series or Disney.

Just finished the campaign and oh geez the feels… Sirens definitely had a rough time this game 😰
Started playing Mayhem Mode 2 to finish my side quests because I’m too much of a chicken to attempt Mode 3 lol. Since Guardian ranks transfer to True Vault Hunter mode imo this is the best way to gain the most amount of those and get some sweet loot. Once the side quests are done I’ll be moving onto True Vault Hunter mode… wish me luck!
