Brutal to love,
more brutal to die.
And brutal beyond the reaches of justice
to die of love.
— Louise Glück, from “Queen of Carthage”

really bad at sitting/standing in positions that wouldnt take at least five minutes to explain if anyone were to see me
why do ppl when making anything werewolf x vampire make the werewolf the dumb one :( where are my dumbass head empty vampire rights
recently came to the conclusion that there is not a single ambitious morally grey snarky career-focused woman on television that i wouldn’t take approximately four bullets for
W has quasi-slapstick defense because you simply can’t kill her, she’s too good at not dying. Though not weak in a direct fight, she’s more the kind of fighter that excels in operations rather than direct fights (like one on one duels) and she likely falls short of being able to directly match other comparable powerhouses if it’s not a tactical squad battle and she hasn’t had time to prepare. But even then, even cornered, at the worst of the worst scenarios possible, with Talulah somehow undoing her traps in a way she had no idea Talulah could, and put in melee range against her, Talulah failed to finish her off, because W, essentially, rocket jumped off the building. She ends up at death’s door for it, but she simply turns 180 degrees from it and walks away. Even in that state, she’s still got enough energy to playfully snark at Doc and Kal’tsit. She then gets thrown out of a window by Mon3tr, but before that, W and Kal’tsit have some very choice lines that essentially boil down to:
“Kal’tsit, even if I’m like this, you KNOW you can’t finish me off, I’m going to punch your face in.”
“Yes, that may be so, but I can still give you a lift.”
Kal’tsit more or less understands that, yeah, even like that, actually clinching in for the kill on W is still probably very dangerous and not worth the risk. So out the window goes the cockroach (a bug that suddenly makes a lot of sense to compare her to).
If THAT entire travesty didn’t kill her, what the HELL can? I’m calling it RIGHT NOW:
In Chapter 8, W will meet Rosmontis, Rosmontis will somehow figure out W was involved in the deal that ultimately ends in Scout’s death, Rosmontis will flip the fuck out because Chapter 7 made it very clear Ros is out for revenge, W is still gravely wounded from the Talulah incident and hasn’t had time to even begin healing her grave injuries and shouldn’t even be on her feet, so she’s not exactly gonna put up much of a fight, Rosmontis will unleash Marvel vs Capcom 3 combos in W’s general direction, and not even that will be able to kill or even significantly hamper W. Sure, W’s in for a world of a hurt, but that’s going to be akin to being splatted flat with an ACME mallet, after which she’s going to stick her thumb in her mouth, blow, inflate herself back to normal, and ask for round 2 before Amiya/the plot interferes.
Mark my words. You cannot kill the cockroach.
GUYS I JUST FINISHED WATCHING SOUL. OH MY GOD I DID NOT EXPECT THAT MOVIE TO HIT SO HARD.
It’s so beautiful how the creators depict the aspect of living so vividly.
It’s really something unique and unheard of, yet it’s so accurate.
This movie showed me that things can just……change….at any time. You could be having the best time of your life, then make one wrong step. Everything could be ripped away from you right then and there.
Definitely enlightened my outlook on livelihood. I’ll be thinking of the closing quote for a while. (”I’m going to live every minute of it.”)

ANYWAY. On the topic of TCs.
Since the main character, Joe, is a band director like both M and W, I was instantly hooked. I watched his mannerisms, observing how he expressed his passion, and how he talked about the kids when they weren’t there.
Can’t help but wonder if either of my TCs can relate to Joe, whether it’s how he acted towards the kids, or how he acted as a person in general.
W said he watched the movie already, so maybe I can ask him about it when I get the chance! Or I can ask M if he ever comes to visit! I’m so excited for school tomorrow.
