I (don’t) dislike you, I (love and) Hate you (Whataylor story) part 1

Note:this takes places after season 2 episode 4

It’s been a week since they spoken, Both of them didn’t even fought nor share contact, they were slient, And even Mike and May-Li notices it, it was because what happened at Lily’s last day, All of them were having fun and.

Then carmen kicked the ball and then she ran, But johnny misunderstood and thought bailey had done it, and the police came and took bailey, However Things were getting better and carmen told the truth and Lily and Carmen shared their last goodbye,

And now it’s Saturday, Bailey came back from his football Club with Mike picking him up and he opened the door using his key, once he opened it,

“Right Bailey, you have nice skills and I really wanna see them next time” Said Mike as he chuckles at bailey

“Thanks,” he said before walking to the living room and there he saw the Floss, Tyler and Mo with Tee, he was happy to see them, but then his eyes gazed Ok Him..Johnny, the Brunette was watching TV and then he looks at Bailey, the glare he gave to the footballer was not that kind,

“Hey mate” a voice called out, Bailey looks to see Rick waving at him,

    “Hey…” bailey replied at him

The two begin chatting for a while until it was dinner, everyone had their lunches and while eating Bailey couldn’t get his eyes off on Johnny for some reason,

Later on after dinner everyone went to do their own thing, some people stayed in the kitchen for leftovers and some people are already in their rooms,

Johnny was in his room thinking of what he had done, Bailey was sure a rival towards him but he felt like he was in the wrong for jumping in conclusions, He did want to say sorry to Bailey, and he then stood up,

Bailey was in his room looking at old photos of him and Darryl, both of them were really close friends and bailey had feelings for him, but then he was dating an another boy at their football club, of course that made Bailey upset but he was very supportive,

There was suddenly a knock at the door, the black-haired walks to the door to open it, when he opens the door it was Johnny,

“listen if your here to-“ said Bailey but he was soon cut off

“Listen..I want to say that I sorry for accusing you, but I do expect a apology from you” said Johnny,

Bailey wondered if this was a joke, he then sighs and then he spoke

“Fine…I accept and yes I am sorry for fighting with you ever since I came in” Bailey sighed again,

“At least we are actually being friendly” said Bailey looking down, for some reason he was shy of looking at the Taylor, but why is that?

“Johnny…can I give you a hug?” Said Bailey, Johnny was a bit confused by he accepts it by hugging the footballer, Bailey returned the hug as well,!

“Thanks Johnny” said Bailey “Anytime,” said Johnny, then the two walked downstairs little did they know that someone was watching them,

OLD NEW YORK in Movies and Television

Julian Fellowes’ new series, “THE GILDED AGE” is set to premiere on January 24, 2022.  Because of this, I had decided to list some movies and television shows (in chronological order) that were also set in New York State and New York City during the 19th century - before, during and after the U.S. Civil War:

OLD NEW YORK IN MOVIES AND TELEVISION

“The Age of Innocence” (1934) - Irene Dunne and John Boles starred in this second film adaptation of Edith Wharton’s 1920 Pulitzer Prize winning novel about New York City society during the 1870s.  Philip Moeller directed.

“Dragonwyck” (1946) - Gene Tierney, Vincent Price and Walter Huston starred in this adaptation of Anya Seton’s 1944 novel about the relationship between the daughter of a Connecticut farmer and her distant cousin, a Hudson River Valley estate owner (a patroon).  Joseph L. Mankiewicz wrote and directed the film.

“Life With Father” (1947) - William Powell and Irene Dunne starred in this comedic adaptation of Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse’s 1939 Broadway play about a Wall Street Broker and his family in the early 1880s.  Michael Curtiz directed.

“The Heiress” (1949) - Oscar winner Olivia De Havilland starred with Montgomery Clift and Ralph Richardson in this adaptation of “Washington Square”, Henry James’ 1880 short novel about a young woman in mid 19th century New York City who is torn between her father, a wealthy doctor, and a handsome young man who may or may not be a social climber.  William Wyler directed.

“Hello Dolly!” (1969) - Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau starred in this colorful adaptation of Jerry Herman’s 1964 Broadway musical about a matchmaker in late 19th century New York City.  Gene Kelly directed.

“The Age of Innocence” (1993) -  Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfieffer and Winona Ryder starred in this third film adaptation of Edith Wharton’s 1920 Pulitzer Prize winning novel about New York City society during the 1870s. Martin Scorsese directed.

“Washington Square” (1997) - Jennifer Jason-Leigh starred with Albert Finney and Ben Chaplin in this adaptation of Henry James’ 1880 short novel about a young woman in mid 19th century New York City who is torn between her father, a wealthy doctor, and a handsome young man who may or may not be a social climber.  Agnieszka Holland.

“Gangs of New York” (2002) - Martin Scorsese directed this historical drama, a loose adaptation of Herbert Asbury's 1927 book, “The Gangs of New York”, about a young man who returns to the Five Points neighborhood in early 1860s New York City to avenge his father’s death.  Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis and Cameron Diaz starred.

“Copper” (BBC-America; 2012-2013) - Tom Fontana created this series about an Irish-immigrant police detective and the people in his life during the last year of the U.S. Civil War in New York City.  Tom Weston-Jones, Ato Essandoh and Kyle Schmid starred.

“The Alienist” (TNT; 2018-2020) - Daniel Brühl, Luke Evans and Dakota Fanning starred in this television series and adaptation of the first two novels in Caleb Carr’s “Kreizler“ novel series about late 19th century psychiatrist (or “alienist”) who investigates crimes committed by serial killers with an ad hoc team that includes a newspaper illustrator and a society woman who joins the New York City Police as a secretary.

She felt a stealing sense of fatigue as she walked; the sparkle had died out of her, and the taste of life was stale on her lips. She hardly knew what she had been seeking, or why the failure to find it had so blotted the light from her sky: she was only aware of a vague sense of failure, of an inner isolation deeper than the loneliness about her.
