Vacation Staycation 🥰😘
my only question is who tf was his defense??!
So America’s ridiculous failure at (adequately) exposing children to, and successfully teaching them different languages. Do you think it has something to do with the fact that if I knew Norwegian I’d pack my bags and head to Norway at the first opportunity? And a lot of my fellow American’s hesitating to relocate when shit like trump happens? I know it’s for xenophobia and racism purposes already. Yet i’ve never heard my question brought up and it just popped into my head while thinking about the Nordic model.
Good morning lovelies 💋
Not a fan of Omarosa at all but she didn’t lie
there is no reason good enough to arrest a 6 year old, this is purely racist
at this point its crystal clear that its being done on purpose
smh it sure took them a minute
When have you EVER heard about young Black men going around taking buses hostage??? This some white people shit
oh you’re a white american? yeah but where are you REALLY from???? poland? ireland? germany? it’s ireland isnt it???? it’s ok i will even use the correct term: european-american! don’t be ashamed to be an immigrant, i’m really very open minded
Man….at this point, being 22 years old in the year of 2019, I’m almost desensitized/can almost expect racism from mfs but it still throws me off
Like, why did a grown ass white man feel the need to tell me to “Speak English” even though I was using ebonics/English colloquialisms to one of my niggas bc I wanted to tell him about a fly ass hoodie that made me think of my boy? Why did an old white man on my job tell me “oh shit, black male coming through the back, its gonna be some trouble”? Why did an old white woman at the gay bar accuse me of being an illegal alien when im just out here tryna find some dick with my homegirl? Why do white women feel the need fetishize me because they think I have a big dick/other black guy stereotypes only to turn around and call me white washed when I express interest in things outside of “black culture”?
I can almost be desensitized, I can almost expect that from mfs, but when I am reminded and get sensative, it’s like why? Why can’t you mfs let a young nigga live and get this money that yall try to prevent us from doing so? Why do you feel the need after dragging my ancestors all the way from Africa to flex your European roots/enforce the idea that I dont belong here, when the fuck I do? Why the fuck y'all niggas tell me to look past race when you remind me on the daily that I’m a black man in yall fucked up ass country?
P.S Go worry about the meth/heroin epidemic in y'all’s community before you say shit to me about “black on black crime”
There’s a reason why you’ll probably never hear me subscribe to the phrase, “I don’t see race/color.” That reason is actually quite simple: I DO see race. I’ve been forced to recognize that for most of my life, due to all of the ways that YOU told me that I am and am not black.
I see it in movies, music, clothing…there was always a difference emphasized on how it’s Black comedy, Black cinema, Black History Month, even these things served as a constant reminder of exactly what I am in this country.
So, when I say that I find it funny that it comes as primarily the sentiment of white people/white-passing people, I really do find it funny, because “not seeing color” is basically an attempt to ignore one of the largest elephants in the room in a way lol.
While the ultimate goal is for race to not matter, in order for that to become common place, we have to address race until it becomes normal.
As it stands now, I can’t seem to say “white people” without strangers becoming completely defensive, despite how the next statement could be completely devoid of any racial charge, and that says a lot. It’s like it comes with this weight of “white people VERSUS” whatever the next phrase is about to be.
I feel like this kind of awareness is key to taking the next step, because we should be able to see color and that not matter, as opposed to saying that it doesn’t exist at all. In a way, I feel like that phrase still stands at an attempt to sorta “cover-up” the notion of white privilege by saying that you don’t acknowledge that race has anything to do with you perceive a person, which is fantastic coming from people who actually stand by this principle (obviously that’s not everyone because the phrase “i’m not racist but” still exists)
But what about the police? What about the courts? What about the banks and the business establishments? What about the government itself? Are these operating on these same non-prejudicial terms? Because I’m glad that you’re able to find yourself beyond these bonds, but we’re all still worried about cops. If there’s anything that *shouldn’t* be seeing color, it’s definitely our institutions.
i personally thank white america for making my grandma not teach my mom spanish (she’s from fucking mexico) because she didnt want her to have an accent.
i love not knowing spanish 😍😍😍
Steve won’t hesitate to do the same….
