Btw at the very beginning of stream he mentioned that he saw something about like "things to do in your survival world" or something like that and said that the dsmp is basically his equivalent of a survival world so if I had to guess that could mean a new building project ? đź‘€

#im gonna be real that might not be exactly what he said it was like 9 hrs ago + its been a long day #but ik for sure he said the dsmp was like basically his survival world + that he saw smth abt someones survival world so #building maybe yaaay :] #(when he feels up to it ofc!) #doodle.txt

    Oct 10 - The Chariot

I've been handwriting these prompts in my journal in an effort to catch up, and I finally finished catching up to today. I got these prompts from here.

This prompt is really going places. Get your wheels turning and think about how things get from point A to point B, whether it be simple travel among your main cast, to the ins and outs of troop movement, or how goods are transported from origin to market. Or even better yet, who built and maintains these roads and byways? What risks and perils await, what are the pros and cons to each mode of transportation?
The Chariot invites you to hold on tight, because its going to be a bumpy ride.

Every main city that is on the same continent is connected by a heavily guarded and well traveled road that most trade transports and travelers take. Less legal goods take back roads that are far less safe. and you're more likely to be attacked by bandits. There's also trade routes that travel by boat that are mostly safe.

Our party, however, will mostly be traveling by dragon flight as the party is small as of Jharas joining, plus it is so much quicker! Until he joins up with Anru and Andwise, and some other people, Jharas travels by horse with the other Guardians!

Today's useless fun fact about my AU!

Most of the cities on Cybertron were adapted to a specific size of inhabitants (sheer ignorance). Especially in the capitals of a specific region dominated by one type of bots.

So when the bigger mech had to do something in the minicon city, it looked something like this:

Or a small mech trying to move around in a bigbot's building:

    Bonus

Minicons and bigger mechs totally make fun of height difference and do things like this:

    A science fiction setting

    A science fiction setting

M24 Small Sagittarius star cloud I was a science fiction reader before I dipped my toe into the vast ocean of romance. More than that, I like space opera. Yes, I’m a Star Wars fan, despite the rather ordinary science. What attracts me is the aliens and the space ships and the amazing different worlds out there. And after all, with current estimates for the number of habitable worlds in the Milky…

    Oct 9 - The Lovers

I've been handwriting these prompts in my journal in an effort to catch up, and I finally finished catching up to today. I got these prompts from here.

The Lovers is often pigeon-holed into a literal reading: Who is your datemate? While this is certainly one avenue to explore, remember to also think beyond amatonormative tropes and really examine the bonds in your world. Beyond romantic interests, what kind of relationships and partnerships do folks typically seek out? What is the typical relationship like between a master and apprentice, a guard and their partner, captain and crew? Who are the people your MC might really depend on? Is this kind of relationship a new concept to them, or pretty common?
The Lovers invites you to think about close, intimate bonds - romantic or otherwise.

In a world where it is important to be as kind as you can, official relationships like captain and crew, master and apprentice, guard and partner (or guard captain and crew) are very important and emphasized to be just familial as friends you make, or your partner in life, or the children you adopt OR propagate. A master may view their apprentice as their child, or a young sibling, and desire to guide them and mentor them in that way.

Guard crews crews go through many boding exercises during their time together.

Jharas is used to these kinds of relationships now, as an adult, but he had a hard time as a child because he didn't grow up with that sort of relationship. Though the concept was foreign to him; he had witnessed it for others. Just not experienced it himself.

But as an adult, he has a work partner he'd die for, and a captain he respects. His mentor is more of a father figure than the man he lived with during his formative years. And he has friends he loves. Romantic love is something else entirely. It's something he wants but is very anxious about. But he has enough love to suffice at the moment.

    CW: Demons, Possession, fighting, weapons

So here's an idea that'd be a neat way of giving your characters cool and interesting powers.

What if they could use spirits/demons/ghosts/spooky-entity-things as a way to fight?

Now the most obvious way of doing this would be summoning them into a more tangible state of being so they can just go around punching, casting spells, and yelling at the whoever the character tells them to.

But also I'm sure being used like that would probably make the most of entities a bit angry, even more so if they aren't respected or treated well. So why not have them occasionally resist orders, or do them in a way that hinders who summoned them.

Now a more interesting thing you could do would be turning the summoned entities into weapons and armour which are imbued with powerful magic abilities based on what kind of entity they are.

Also the armour and weapons should definitely be able to talk and sass the person who's using them and the people they're fighting.

A really interesting idea would be letting the summoned entities like temporarily and partially posses the character who summoned them as part of some sorta magical contract thing. Now this would grant the character power and the ability to fight for what they believe in, and the demon would get the chance to manifest themselves in the physically and in a way that grants them more freedom than the first idea.

Also like make the entities goofy weirdos so its like fun to see them fight and presumably also do silly bits and jokes while fighting. Oh and maybe have an antagonist does the same thing but their contract is much worse and the entity possessing them is real evil and mean.

    Oct 8 - The Hierophant

I've been handwriting these prompts in my journal in an effort to catch up, and I finally finished catching up to today. I got these prompts from here.

The Hierophant is the keeper of rules and traditions. Today is for thinking about things handed down, from stories and rituals, to inheritances and taking up hereditary positions. Who were the founders of this world, and what legacies did they leave behind? What values are championed (or condemned) by the dominant culture? What traditions are important to your MC, and do they reflect the dominant culture, or run counter to it?
The Hierophant invites you to ponder the bedrock of tradition upon which society is built. Think to your roots before you reach for the skies.

The biggest biggest values that the founders passed on were to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves, and to treat people how you would want to be treated, which is something Jharas believes wholeheartedly in. Some cultures have turned their back on this (any arcanocracy dead set on gaining more power, for instance). But as a whole, most societies try to adhere to it and have many social systems in place in case people are struggling in one way or another.

But Jharas does everything he can to help people and Iathea sensed his about him, and that's one of the reasons why she blessed him.

    Longfellow's Island

Vin's not done building this place up yet!

This is a No Mods build on PS4 and I have to credit Skooled Zone (YouTube) for the conduit-chandelier idea!

The decontamination arch is pillar-glitched under the log and the near-invisible wiring across the island is thanks to an exploit called the wire-glitch. I've not tried 'wi-fi' power yet (invisible/wireless power) but might play with that in future.

If you'd like to see this settlement 'in person', I will be streaming Vin's visit to Far Harbor every Wednesday on Twitch! You'll also be able to watch it later on YouTube - both are 'theartofblossoming'

Trying to figure out at what point are my builds mega but like

    1. I’m building in the ocean there isn’t terrain to flatten, I’m building the land

    2. Once again in the ocean building land nothing to be cleared

    3. Maybe if I was doing this one in survival but it’s an all ocean world I don’t think I could do this in survival

    4. Bold of you to assume someone spending so many hours playing minecraft has friends

    5. Bold of you to assume this’ll ever end

#though I’m 7 and a half hours in on building this mountain #and it’s only just beginning #my survival base is potentially mega but it’s also kinda ugly cause I didn’t plan most of it #I need like a number of blocks that would make it mega #cause what I’m doing now is about 20k blocks so far #which really isn’t anything my main world is a few hundred thousands #ghost rambles

    Oct 7 - The Emperor

I've been handwriting these prompts in my journal in an effort to catch up, and I finally finished catching up to today. I got these prompts from here.

The Emperor is all things powerful, regal, and authoritative. He is the undisputed ruler, so that’s what we’re going to be looking at today. What are the power structures like in your world? Monarchies, elected officials, smaller city states, vessels where the captain’s word is law? Who calls the shots?
The Emperor invites you to think about power structures.

So, this depends heavily on region. More clan based settlements have a chief that is handed down to the oldest child, or elected by a committee of sorts, depending on the clan. Most big human kingdoms are monarchies, and many smaller human settlements have an elected figurehead to report to the king of a specific kingdom. Many arcanocracies are run by a family line, unless another mage can defeat the current leader in a duel. Halfling cities are run by committee as well. Once every two years, a festival is held and all individuals who want to run for leader of that town make their best dish. Then the judges/committee try all the dishes and best dish (and cook) wins! It is thought, in halfling culture, that only a good soul can make good food.

There are many different types of leader-ship systems, but these are the most prevalent.

Oliver became such good friends with Daphne that they are spending some more time together. Especially since its more than likely that Henry and Maridith will choose these two to be their Best Man and Maid of Honor, respectively. They will be spending more time together so they might as well get along.

Oliver also was happy to run into his Dad while they were out. Its always great whenever the kids happen to run into Mom and Dad.

    Oct 5 - The Empress

I've been handwriting these prompts in my journal in an effort to catch up, and I finally finished catching up to today. I got these prompts from here.

While its true that motherhood is only one aspect of this ultimate female energy card, it’s a useful one to focus on for today. How are families structured, what kind of support do they provide for growing children. Is early education handled in the home or by an outside source? Are families usually determined by blood, or something else? Are households multi-generational? Is fostering common? How are lineages traced (do they even hold any cultural significance at all?)?
The Empress invites you to think about nurturing youths and the impact of family.

Blood family is less important as a whole, and it's encouraged to find your people, in many cultures and races. Many clans, especially, are a hodge-podge of lost souls looking for a place to belong. And in elven culture, it is strongly encouraged to find your chosen family - though it's an unsaid cultural norm to stick to your own race to do so, so I suppose in a way, blood is still important. In fact, humans are the only race that tries to push the importance of the family you're born into.
