This is a reminder to all of those reblogging my posts and then whinging about my scoring system.
My scoring system is called the ESE in every post. This stands for the Esper Scale of Entertainment. It’s a system made by me for me.
While I appreciate feedback and discussion about movies and what you agree and disagree with, there is no need to be dramatic about my reactions to films. I will not like what you like. You may not like what I like. Your own version of my scoring system would OBVIOUSLY look very different.
I am also not saying I dislike or like a movie when I do this scoring. Some of the movies I enjoy get relatively poor ratings on my scoring system.
This is my call for you to get over your bullshit and maybe stop attacking people for their taste in movies just because you’re salty and took my rating personally.
That said, I will always take off 25 points for Harvey Weinstein having been involved in anything. I will always take off 25 points for Woody Allen. I will always take off 25 points for people I know to be scummy human beings. The good movies don’t need those 25 points and more than make up for it.
Anyway, the joke’s on you. You reblogged my post regardless of your shitty ‘tude. So,yes. Please. Keep spreading the word that my blog exists. I appreciate you.

I usually post the gifs in order of when they appear in the film. I scored this a few weeks ago when I went to hang out with a friend but didn’t want to lose movie-watching progress. I scored the film, but I don’t remember the exact order of things. So, I’ve added some trivia and gifs, my scoring happened a while ago, so this is post-dated, really. I did the same with Shaft (2019), but I’ll do that blog post later on. I wanted to follow as closely to my list as possible because changing things around gives me a headache and I didn’t want to confuse myself.
A REMINDER: Some of these movies that have lower scores? I still love a lot. This is one of those lower-scoring, but I still loved it films.
Hilariously True Fact:
As John Massari returned the music master tapes to the studio, people in the accounting and legal department completely dismissed Killer Klowns as being “A complete failure that will die a quick death.” Massari responded: “Well… YOU don’t get it! There are people that will LOVE this movie.”
It’s me. I’m people that will LOVE this movie.
Foreshadowing: When Dave leaves with Mike and Debbie to investigate their story about the alien clowns. Mooney says to him “Go ahead Dave, make a dummy out of yourself, but you’re not going to make a dummy out of me”. It foreshadows what happens to him later on in the film.
Debbie Stone: We were up at “the top of the world” and we saw this shooting star and we decided to go look for it. But instead of finding the shooting star we saw this… this circus tent. And that’s when we went inside, and that is when we saw those people in those… those pink, cotton candy cocoons. Dave, it was not a circus tent. It was something else. Dave Hanson: What? What? Mike Tobacco: It was a space ship. And there was these things, these killer clowns, and they shot popcorn at us! We barely got away! Curtis Mooney: Killer Klowns from outer space. Holy shit!
Curtis Mooney: I made it through Korea; I can make it through this bullshit!
Security Guard: What’re ya gonna do with those pies, boys?
[as Jo-Jo The Ice Cream Clown] Paul Terenzi: I’m Jo-Jo the ice cream clown, we’ll give you a stick, you’ll give it a lick. And it’ll tickle you all the way down. Ice cream, ice cream, we brought our goodies here to you! A tasty treat for while you screw! Let’s take a break! Cool off those hot lips with our frozen fruity bars! Icy-wicy, fudgy-wudgy bars.
