Funny how writers can portray hundreds of emotions, but we’re all restricted to like, three options whenever we think about our work:
1. I AM THE MASTER OF ALL WRITING. FOLLOW ME, ALL YOU LOST AND LONELY; I CAN SHOW YOU HOW TO TRIUMPH!
2. I mean, I’m good, but I’ve got a long way to go and I’m really excited about the journey!
3. i am but… a humble jellied eel… words elude my pathetic grasp… i do not know what a “sentence” looks like… may i have just one taste of greatness… before this frightful world gobbles me up…?
And we cycle through all three in the same ten-minute window, depending on how well we slept the night before and whether we’ve eaten anything in the past three hours.
