Monkeys from Henry Doorly zoo. Omaha NE. 2019
Minot zoo North Dakota.
[12:27 pm] You were leaning on the railing in front of the lion enclosure, watching one of the cubs stumble down a small hill, falling on its side and rolling over when it reached the bottom. You chuckled at the mother completely ignoring her children, one of the other cubs scrambling over her head. If only you could always be that chill about life.
“Rawr,” you jumped as Yuta suddenly came up behind you and growled into your ear softly before nipping his teeth into your earlobe. You flinched, pressing your hands to your chest to calm your racing heart from the surprise. “Oh my god, don’t give me a fright like that,” you exhaled in a huff, twisting to face his wide grin. Yuta only scrunched up his nose cutely and wrapped his arms around you to pull you closer. “But you’re supposed to be afraid of dangerous beasts,” he argued, laughing as you tried to escape his playfully snapping teeth.
You snorted disdainfully. “Who said you’re a beast?” you retributed and squirmed as he managed to lean close enough to bite into your neck gently, trapping you against him. His eyes narrowed as he lifted his head to stare at you in challenge. “I did,” he whispered dangerously and you rolled your eyes, placing a kiss on his lips. “Sure, you’re the wildest thing in the whole zoo,” you laughed and Yuta smiled widely, eyes sparkling. “You got it, babe.”
